- Finally the jeep got some love! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I already lifted the Jeep a while ago. But with the pandemic hitting I've been busy with work since we are short staffed, and there was not a lot to do.
This Weekend, I was able to go wheel with the Jeep Lab family to a new location here in Florida. This new place is called Ol' Florida Jeep and Offroad, and is located in Tavares, FL. Just like 45 minutes from where I live, so I am excited to have a place that I can go close to home.

The stock wheels actually look good when there’s big tires.
These stock wheels look so much better than 99.9% of the aftermarket wheels. I like them better than the upgraded JL rubicon wheels that came on mine tbh. Especially on the non-metallic grey color 👌🏻

The jeeps looked great! The oldest i think bronco with those balloon wheels went over the obstacles like they did not exist, he did it backwards.LOL!

Hi. Nice to find another Jeep owner in my area. I was thinking of buying a base Sport or Willys to do what you're doing. Looks like fun.
Car Story yeah man, nice!! And yeah either is good, if you will be modifying everything. By going with a base model, it will give you more 💸 room for mods. This current jeep and my last jeep are/were base models
Always go diagonally across logs. You really need disconects to make open rears function adequately.
Yeah just too slippery, and i just got quick disconnects 2 weeks ago. 💪🏼

so just was thinking of 37s on mine, you are running them on stock gears and axles? Dana m186 front and m200 rear?
my sport came with m186 front and m220 rear, because it was ordered with the trailer tow package, I also have ordered a 4.88 regear set.
Nice, i got mine of the lot and they didnt have the trailer tow package 😑. But yeah im on stock sport axles and gears and no problem. I do want to regear to 4.88 and do a truss kit on both axles

Yes its a sport s, luckily i found the color match fenders of a rubicon so i jumped on it.
Did anyone air down for this ride? Looks like most were at street pressure or close to it. Orange jl got beadlocks...tires should be looking flat
JL's Jk no man, i did not air down or disconnect the sway bay. But not gonna lie, the ride on the jl is so good with the teraflex lift. And yeah i dont remember no one airing down, i do miss having a compressor. The ride would have been smoother and had way better grip.
@@copperhead_jl5321 for sure. I burned up my compressor trying to fill 37s. Now I just drive at 11psi til I find "free" air. 😁😁

Cant remember exact width of wheels, but the tires are 12.5”

You still enjoying the teraflex lift man? Is it comfy enough for daily driving?
Ohhh yeah man, i normally set the shocks to the soft setting and it rides really good for daily driving
are you running on stock gear ratio ? how is it feeling ?
Yeah, the JLs gearbox is way better than the JKs and i havent had to regear. It would be better if it was regeared but it does ok for daily driving. I do plan on regearing to 4.88 eventually.
Are you using spacers for the wheels?

Yes and no lol the 8 speed gearbox is great, so you can get away with not regearing. Not optimal but it can be done, i do want to regear and i will do 4.88
Hi, I believe yours is a sport S. I'm wondering if you are still under stock gear ratio, and is that 3:45 as sport version?
I have Willys sport, which is using 3:45 stock gear, 8 speed at. I want to have 37s on it. What do you think about that?

Yes mine is a Sport S, i am not using stock gear ratio anymore. It was 3:45 and now i have 4:88, you can run 37s on 3:45 but you will feel the difference and will be dropping gear a lot to go up hills or passing other vehicles. I am happy with the 4:88 i have now, since it just feels right 👌🏼

And since I believe your sport S come with front d30. Is that still handling good the 37s?
@@baoradeon878 yeah 3:45 and 35s should be more tolerable than with 37s. And so far i havent had any problems with my axles and 37s. But i have upgrades ball joints, adjustable control arms for a good alignment, trussed the front axles, heavy duty steering components, steering stabilizer, so with all of this things i feel it helps to have a good driving jeep and helps with the 37’s

Yes, they are. Got them from a Rubicon.

JL axles are actually pretty tough for what they are. As long as you are smart and avoid rock crawling/ bouncing on the 30's, you should be fine.

Did you regear brother? I want 35 on my sport but they said I need regear
Hey man, i have not regeared yet. The 8 speed auto trans is great, i do want to to be back at optimal performance for the size tires but its doing great. Also recently i got the tazer to dial a couple things and now that the computer know the correct tire size the transmission feels better. Before it was dropping gear or revving up very high and i would have to manually shift gears, now i dont have to shift my self as the computer is doing a good job. Again though, i do want to regear to 4.88 but until the budget allows i will continue like this. I think also at the same time i regear i might do a truss kit for the front axle. But the answer is, it can be done. (Auto 8 speed JL) not sure the manual gearbox.

Did you add any spacer or anything I have the four door JLu could I get by with 4.5lift and 37s stock rims you'd think
Yes with this wheels i added a 1.75” spacer. I like the wider stance.
Have you regeared since then what did you go with ?

Looks good plan on going same with my JLU unlimited what about break lines need new longer ones or stock ,brackets ?
@@mattbrewer8146 nice with the stock wheels and running 37s i would run wheels spacers to avoid rubbing on the control arms. Brake lines are good actually
Mannnnn...this guy @9:11 needs to ease off the throttle and tread lightly...its a great rig but there were so many bad habits that made me cringe...the bumps and especially when he had his arm stickin out of the door...LOL

AL Co nice man! Yeah, you can fit 37s on the stock rims. They are 37x12.5x17, but the tire place i went they did tell me it was a little hard but they got it done.
