i watched to the very end and was hoping to see how it preformed in the rain and nothing. I can only assume Rain Gear hasn't decided to ship a folding pro-rod with these covers so the rain will role off like a tent. I can only imagine that water pools after a heavy rain and people have to be careful not to dump the water into the cabin when removing the top. Please make a follow up video after a heavy rain and report back. Other than that great video!
Great video...Got me convinced. Was going to purchase the Quadratec cover, but it has bare metal hooks that could scratch the jeep, especially putting the top on myself. Damn, I guess this means, I have to Subscribe! LOL.......Any ideas on an "emergency top" that you could drive while it's raining?
The closest thing would be a summer soft top, you can find it on quadratec, amazon, or any retailer of jeep parts. There is a couple brands that make them, but they are not emergency covers they are frameless soft tops and mostly they just cover the top but mostly no rear windows. Very minimalistic protection
Hey! I really like your Jeep Tire Covers test video! It is very impressing! I am a member of Suparee brand producing Jeep's product. Now we are planning to promote our Jeep cover. Could you shoot a video for our Jeep cover?
Man this is sweet. I am going to invest in this. I bought a soft top that leaks (2nd hand) feel like this would be nice to just throw over every night for reassurance.
It looks good how much does it cost for a 4-door ? Where's a good place to store if you want to keep it with you in case it rains but yet someone can't steal it or see it laying on the floor in the Jeep. do you think after it's been opened once you can still fold it underneath the seat ?
Jeff Prevett they are 158.95 and yes thats a good question. I you folded nice and tight you can put it under the rear seat. I normally keep the doors when i go topless so it helps me conceal it a little but yeah you can try to put it under the rear seat
queenkwilly yes i heard from someone else’s video that you can spray the seams. I use it as an emergency top and it has seen some showers, but not heavy rain. I didnt notice any leaking at all, for what i experienced i dont think the spray its necessary. But for peace of mind it doesnt hurt to spray it either, if you wanna go that route.
Hey Copperhead, looking at getting this cover but I have a light bar. Does this top have enough give to fit around it? Also please update on how this top has held up and how well it works in storms. Thanks!!
Jody Skole yes they do one that fits light bars, go search their website www.raingearcovers.com and on regards to storms i have not tested on heavy storms just regular showers here and there and it does work! 👍🏼
F_U_L_L__ M_E_T_A_L no heavy heavy rain yet. Its about to be heavy rain season now, but im moving and wont have a garage for a while. If i do test it, ill make sure to do an update
Travis Freitas awesome question man, but i think that with the fastback hardtop it would be a tight fit. They do make one that you can use with the stock hardtop but then if you go with that one, you would have a baggy part cause of your fastback. Go check them out 👍🏼
Just wanted to tell you thank you for the quick reply back to me, I went ahead and I ordered One to try it and it did not fit. I wasn’t even able to stretch it to make it work. I called and spoke with somebody at rain gear and there told me it should work , it definitely didn’t. just wanted to let everybody know if you have a hard top this cover will not work with it on...
Yes It is the same cover you have,I tried to get a hold of the company to see if I could return it but no luck.. I guess worst case scenario I’ll just keep it in case I ever take the top off..
I just got this same rain cover and used it for the first time today. Great piece of gear.
Kevin Durham yeah they have a great product, top notch!
Nice job! Changed my mind in another top, this looks great!
I couldn't pay attention to the rain cover after i saw the 2-door in the background...THAT IS SWEET!!!!
Kevin Durham that TJ is a dream, cant blame you! Its an eye catcher 👌🏼
Cool video guys. Very helpful. ✌🏻from Cali.

I would assume there would be some pooling, but I would think the straps would help with that. Just need to pull it tight.

Just tried it out. Really well made, but the one with the extra material does not fit a 2015 unlimited with the KC Pro6 light bar
Good to know, but do you think it fits a regular light bar?

Directions mention waterproof spray the seams, any recommendations?

Any update on performance against heavy rain??
F_U_L_L__ M_E_T_A_L no heavy heavy rain yet. Its about to be heavy rain season now, but im moving and wont have a garage for a while. If i do test it, ill make sure to do an update
@@copperhead_R One other question-- is it soft on the back so if it flutters in wind it wond scuff finish?
F_U_L_L__ M_E_T_A_L yes its somewhat soft but it fits like a glove so there is no movement, i have not experienced anything like that with mine
I’m looking to purchase this cover to stop some leaks when it rains, will the cover fit with a hardtop fastback top on?

Travis Freitas that sucks man, but good to know. So you went with the same style i have? The fast back looking one?
Yes It is the same cover you have,I tried to get a hold of the company to see if I could return it but no luck.. I guess worst case scenario I’ll just keep it in case I ever take the top off..
But does it leaked? I've seen many reviews where they say it does.
Never had any problems and now i have one on my JL too
Nice bro enjoy 👍🏻

Strong Side yeah im at birthday bbq, thanks for watching. If you go to Jeep Beach ill be there, if you see me stop by and say hi 👋🏼 lol
It’s a lot easier to just put back factory top than this rain cover!
This is for them times you with your girl and you fold them rear seats down..
Mike Fortuna lol indeed man!
REMOVAL? NO one SHOWS how to REMOVE and STORE this...
