great video. so i just installed used OEM inner Rubicon fenders on my JLU but they didn't come with inner fender liners. those OEM inner fender liners? are they Rubicon as well? my Sport liners did not reach the Rubicon fenders because they are wider as well.
Great video !!! Great resources !!!! Are you able to do a video for installing power door lock kit and power window to the jl sport ? Many of the sport guys are waiting for solution
1. after market is severally lacking with fender flares 2. the plastic design on the stock fenders bend and crush on rocks and trees, then quickly bounces back after. ill keep rocking mine until they finally crack and break,,, maybe at the point try to make my own.
Yes. I have it setup for drl in the blinker and at night I notice the drl is my parking lights. I'd swap it but after messing with the tazer this was the best option for me.
I have the sport s model with 2 bulbs. How do I program for the white bulb to stay on as a DRL. When I do it like you putting on TURN. The amber bulb stays on. I would like the white bulb to stay on as a DRL
I order this fenders for my JT overload trim but I still wondering if they will fit , do you know if there is any difference between sport s to overland . Thanks
I set it up the same way as you did, but the DTRL is yellow. At night, both white and yellow light up. But during the day, the yellow light turns into DTRL. Do you know how to fix it?
Just did the same thing, Rubicon flares w/ LEDs on a sport s. This helped me a ton, thanks! If I'm not mistaken the rubicon flares only require 4 bolts, whereas the sports' required 5?
Has anyone seen a place for takeoffs? I may buy them new as quadratec has them for $500 but I’d be curious as to how much a set of Rubi take offs would be
Takeoffs are a good deal but then you are buying someone's trashed fenders, lost clips, and lighting problems. These are just too good to pass up for all you get.
So I called around some dealerships and after going onto the moose website(dealerships are useless) here’s the p/n’s I found. For some reason the LED markers are cheaper? 82215668 Incandescent $740 82215985 LED $650 @TewlTalk is that about what you paid give or take Guam shipping?
@@jarrodbolden5516 I bought the 985 pn. The other one is for painted flares style. They are not textured. They should be 600. Get a better dealer. Mine shipped in in a week or two all the way to Guam. 6000+ miles. Lol
Thanks I really want to get some aftermarket flares though. I'd like metal flares instead of plastic flares. I think Westin sells metal flares for about $900 a set, which is the cheapest I've found so far. I keep looking for less expensive ones in the $300 a set range, they exist for JKs but not JL's and JT's yet.
I will try to find it. I called my dealer and they got exactly what I wanted. It comes in a crate, not buying it elsewhere since it costs so much to ship.
Sport S and Sport are the same on the exterior. I dont have a link. I bought them through the dealer since they are huge and expensive to ship. The dealer, if they are fair priced, can get them for 550 or 600 delivered.
I know you’re busy but if you ever get a chance I’d like to get your thoughts on the ZD’F trans. Believe or not this is the first auto trans I’ve had - love my gears but I love my auto. Drove both before I bought my Gladiator and went with the auto (hope it’s not the weak link in the drivetrain)
The auto trans in our trucks is rated at 500nm torque. The ram is only 450nm. Our trucks are built better than the ram. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_8HP_transmission
Gladiators get 44s front and rear. Common misconception. I built my own axles and verified they are 44s. The part number for the gears are the same as the rubicon. I installed the gears myself.
I am really liking the look of those wheels. Are those factory wheels? It’s a strong five spoke look but I have never seen those before. Where did you get them?
I have a sports and upgraded so many of my parts to Rubicon take offs, I love the factory look
Great video! Your videos are the reason why I’m getting a sport over a rubicon!
Great video. Install didn’t look too challenging. Thanks for sending me the link. Looking forward to checking out more of your content soon.
Thank you.
10K in 8 months. Appreciate your videos. Loonone good. You reminded me about updating the tazer.
Will the front work with the lights, I have the standard sport NOT the s model like yours, 🤔 thanks Jim
Not sure. May need to swap them out.

Exactly, you hit some harder stuff than me. I am on a wet island. Not a lot of rock crawling on Guam.
TewlTalk lol, ur truck still looks like it’s parked on the showroom floor every day 😂😂😂😂😂🙌
@@JLLIFEOFFROAD yes, get crap for it at work all the time.
TewlTalk and u should 😂🙌

Just got from the dealer?
That looks amazing my dude, I just got my front rubi fenders I’m going to install them soon. Thank you for the video, it is really helpful…
I ordered my Rubicon fender flare kit from Mopar (smooth so I can paint to match) but are on back order…. Great looking rig!
Thanks this was helpful . love your color of the jeep is it called pumpkin
Would you still need to program the lights if you have LED headlights and fog lights already?
Hi , can you please tell if you got any problem with non oem led headlights after you switch the settings to LED DRL with tazer mini
With the Tazer does the DRL light up white? Then the parking lights white and blinkers yellow?
Yes. I have it setup for drl in the blinker and at night I notice the drl is my parking lights. I'd swap it but after messing with the tazer this was the best option for me.
Great installing video. How are they holding up with fading from the sun

Also I put it on as dedicated DRL. But the white bulb doesn’t come on when on DRL auto mode... only turns on when lights are ON
If you can help me I would appreciate it
4* bulbs
Do you have the Mopar part # for these? Only seem to be able to find the paintable finish and I'd like the textured black as well. Thanks in advance.
Does it fits to overland?
I order this fenders for my JT overload trim but I still wondering if they will fit , do you know if there is any difference between sport s to overland . Thanks
I think I'll end up going this route as well. Thanks as always for the videos.
Do the new fenders come with all the clips and push pins?
If you get them from the dealership they do. I just replaced mine.
@@206brandon Thanks! Now time to convince the wife for more jeep money 🤣
How do I make my white led stay on as the running lights and not my turn signals
You will use the general setting in the menu not turn signals location.
It’s not under lighting??
What are your options under lighting?
I figured it out you set the DRL to Canadian and they stay on
I set it up the same way as you did, but the DTRL is yellow. At night, both white and yellow light up. But during the day, the yellow light turns into DTRL. Do you know how to fix it?
I have since changed it to dedicated drl option in the menu.
Bro, how did you secure the rivets? On the side of fenders???
Hi, are the wire harness connectors the same as in the Jeep Wranger sport and The Rubicon? Do you think I will have to buy new connectors?
They are the same.
Just did the same thing, Rubicon flares w/ LEDs on a sport s. This helped me a ton, thanks! If I'm not mistaken the rubicon flares only require 4 bolts, whereas the sports' required 5?
I used all 5
Brandon is the plug on new fenders plug and play?I know you used tazer but new ones come with plug and works with sport without mods
Looks awesome and gives you the clearance you need

What's the cost of those flares?
They are listed on the jeep app for 600 but if you talk to your dealer, they are cheaper.

Where can buy it painted for my black jl 2020 unlimited sport, need the model or part number thanks

Cjponyparts.com sells them then get them painted before install.
Hi do you have the parts numbers for those flares? And how much for thos flares
Mopar Part #: 82215985
did you have to purchase new liners?
They're included part numbers in the comments
Where did you pick up the rubicon fenders from ?
At the dealer. Part number 82215985 with led

Those 8 speed trans are made with pride in Kokomo Indiana,They are beefy and made well i work there.

Are rubi fenders wider than sport?
About .5 to .75 of an inch wider on each side.
@@c130aviator thanks, looks amazing!
How much was it for those fenders ?
I dont remember exactly, 550 should be close. Call the dealer. Dealer had them shipped to their location. It comes crated so its expensive to ship.
TewlTalk ohh okay thanks bud I appreciate it love the glad by the way
What lift you have on your rig?
2 inch mopar with 3/4 inch puck. Install is on my channel
The sport will still have the Dana 30 axle..that's why I got a rubicon
