Make sure you route your front brake lines back in front of the shocks before bolting both sides in. Both times in the video he bolted the shocks in with the brake lines routed outside and then they magically appear back inside the shocks when reattaching the brake line brackets.
Great video. I used it to swap out my sport s suspension with the rubicon suspension. only thing is that I got almost 3 inches of lift out of the springs and shocks and not 1.5".
I'm putting rubicon springs and shocks on a 2020 Sahara. The rubicon sway bar links on the front don't fit into the holes on the Sahara sway bar. Any ideas?
Hey man great video...i just got a Rubicon suspension and I'm about to do the swap to a jl But I have a question how do I know which springs go in the front and are all the shocks the same?
I would assume there might be a little more involved for the Xtreme Recon package. We haven't had a Wrangler with that package come to our lab to research it.
It will likely raise the jeep by about an inch.. But I would highly recommend doing the entire installation and getting an alignment. The springs alone may not be enough.

Thank you for pointing that out. We'll need to add a comment on the video at both times this occurs.
Would be cool to show a before and after picture

Did you by chance get a set of springs from a rubicon diesel?

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this tutorial! Great video and description! I was wondering if an alignment needs to be done after this installation? Thanks!
Absolutely, it's a really good idea to get an alignment after doing anything related to the suspension.

I did the swap in my 2door JL but when i drive the car in any bump there is a sound in driver side . It could be the shocks need to be extended??
Take it in to a service professional. Sounds like you may have a faulty installation.

are the springs, shocks, and endlinks the only change with the xr package as well?

If I replace only sport springs with Rubicon springs, will it lift the jeep? I have the same 2020 Sport S

Is it a Rubicon 1.5" lift spring as described, or a stock spring out of a Rubicon that is 1.5" taller than the sport springs?
It's the stock spring that is 1.5" taller than the sport springs.
If the bump stops aren't changed would that cause the shocks to bottom out?
That is a good observation. This vehicle so far hasn't bottomed out, but replacing the bump stops would absolutely be necessary for off-road driving.
Is an alignment needed after the install?
It would be advisable to get an alignment done after this installation.
How many hours did this take?
It took us about 2 and a half hours to do this one.
Great content except the fading in and out of the music is a beating. Just stop!
