Why I remember ejecting 780 tonnes of imperial slaves because I thought I had purchased Imperial salves. I panicked when I realized I was carrying illiciate goods instead of medical supplies. The biggest trick to making money with a small ship is flexibility. When I upgraded to a Cobra I sacrificed a bit of cargo space for a passenger cabin. A few 1-mil passenger jobs built the bank account quickly. Added an SRV bay for planetary missions. At that level you can still make more running missions than you can trading cargo. Now that I'm in an area where I can make 3.5 mil in 10-15 minutes on a quick loop in my Clipper I find it hard to motivate myself to do the missions I need to do.
i just started this game, almost gave up cos it looks complex but i kept going. My little hauler made me money fast and i now have a T 6. Trading is addictive. Not seen another player yet though. i’m in mobius cos i don’t want some little shit shooting me down. 😀

Awesome video, helped a new player like me who isn't really comfortable with mining or fighting yet out a lot!! Also do you mind sharing your HUD color theme? I really like it!
Thanks very much! And to get my bud recolored like that I used EDprofiler which has a color editor included. Started with the ‘plum’ theme they had and tweaked the 2ndary color to green. Hope that helps!
I’d like to know more about NPC interdiction. I’m considering trading in a Cutter or Type 10. Is it common to avoid an NPC interdiction? If not what is the strategy? Should I fight the NPC? If so what combat ranking do they usually have? Do I drop a few mines and try to get back into super cruise?
I use clean with thermal spread for the heat management on my type 9 but if you want to go a bit faster when you get interdicted (and you might), then take dirty drags.
Excuse the late response, I hope you were able to solve this. Two ways you can try if not - try uninstalling the passenger cabins from the ship. If that doesn't work you can eject cargo or self destruct 💥

According to my math... ~3900 persons lol
Good thing interns are cheap.

Multi-hop route is excellent for reaching the 50 trade spot requirement to receive engineer Lei Cheung's invitation.

Krait and python are good ships to use for trading because they have decent internal space for cargo racks
As tedious as this is, as someone who absolutely loves this game I just love doing it. It's a good time killer.

Yes always try escape interdiction unless it is an assassination mission target and/or you have the weapons to take them on.
