This is probably the only video i found on multi crew. Reading the comments i see that mining together in a ship doesn't pay the other player but bounties and other missions do. I wish they would allow us to pay our teammates for mining with us. Kinda feels pointless for mining. Also what is a wing ? So far i can only invite my friend into a team ? Is it the same ? Is it because I made a squadron and invited him to it ? Its all very confusing. I

I can't wait till they expand that game more, I know they added a new area with some cool new building materials and features. But i am itching for them to add water biomes and weather. I know it's a small team though and some features may not make it. Still one of the best indie games I've played in the past two years though.

Did they remove the Pulse Wave Scanner? I cant find it. Its not even showing up on Inara!

I have played Elite since 2016. Only exploring, a bit of combat but mainly getting my millions from mining! Getting in to Engineering and the Guardian stuff. So... Now you have this what do you do with it? haha

Multi crew with 2 friends with some fighters n stuff is pretty fun. Makes you feel like a real fighting force whenever you go into a fight.

So where in the hell do I find this stupid ship. I'm at hip 12099 1 B and I don't even see Jameson crash site on my navigation. Edit found it on my own. This guide tells you everything except the part of needing a DSS scanner to find the wreckage if it's your first time there

While it's true you can mine in any ship. But thinking it's cheap to get started is a stretch. You'll spend more than that Sidewinder is worth betting it setup for mining.

I say that star citizen is smth that is for people who want to play a Star Wars game and Elite dangerous is more for someone who wants to play a very realistic version of no man's sky.

I still don't get it. Some weapons support multi crew. Does that mean, that if I hire a NPC crew member, he will control the weapon, get xp and yes get paid?

I have about 350 hours in elite dangerous. I never get bored of it, love it forever. When I picked up star citizen as well, I tried to keep an open mind and forget all the blind criticism from what others have told me. It’s an okay game, but I really couldn’t get into it. I had a good time playing with an expert on the game trying to find this mission objective in a ship, really immersive. What I didn’t like is how I crashed 13 times and spent 2 hours trying to leave the planet as there was no tutorial to help me navigate or know the controls, only silly tips on the bottom of my screen that did not stick in my head at all. I honestly think if there was a good in game tutorial that taught me the basics I would have kept playing instead of refunding it. Respect to the SC community for finding a game they love and sticking to it, to the guy helping me on my mission, but it’s just not for me

I don't get it. Ngalinn is the only system I can't enter. I type it on my galaxy map and it brings me to it but I cant plot a route to it

I'm done playing SC. Spent 3 days just to find bindings that work. There are videos and internet discussions on HOW TO OPEN A DOOR. Too buggy. It's been in alpha for 12 years. Twelve. We've been duped.

i started out doing a multi crew too was years ago and the game has had changes since then too i recently got a HOTAS set up and gave elite another try and lord its amazing just wish the grind was a bit easier lol

This was extremely helpful except you were wrong about landing the ASP Explorer near this particular guardian structure. I had no problem parking mine just outside of it.

Every time I try to invite my mate it just says player is already in crew

As of 2023, rep grinding through data courier missions has been HEAVILY nerfed across the board. You will be lucky to get 10% an hour towards your rep and the missions will stop spawning in after 4-5 trips. Seems the best way is pirate massacre missions in Sol, or to evacuate refugees from systems under "Thargoid Alert" status. Both of which also have their major problems. Seems FDev have decided to make grinding federal rep take several weeks (30+ hours) no matter what you choose to do.

I play ED since the first day. Then, a few years later (ca. 2020) i saw Star Citizen. Here you have only one Star System, but you can walk through your ship (completely), through the Star Ports on Planets and through the stations. The FPS-Function of SC is more authentic. It is so immersely (I hope , I wrote this word right). All functions of the ships are complete authentic.

Great video Captain! Just two comments: 1.- You consistently show footage of one game while speaking mainly of the other. This will confuse viewers who do not know the games and are using your video to try to choose which to start with. I would avoid this in the future. 2.- I am an ED player and I have tried SC only for a few hours. I agree with all your points, but since your video Odyssey was released and this changes a bit the things. Also, I would like to mention that Elite is plagued of bugs and errors, but the complete freedom and customizability of the ships is what gets me. Once again. GREAT VIDEO!

Can you or anyone please describe to me how I can give or overtake the control auf weapons in multi crew mod. Or only pilots are allowed to control the weapons?

Ah the joys and headaches that were/are PO. I remember walking out the airlock wearing the wrong type of helmet and dieing not minutes after someone in chat told another player to remember to but their helmet on before leaving, ahhh the good old days. Very nice vid boss man. 👍

Mixed elite dangerous & star citizen with Star Trek

Well done Cap! I will always remember Port Olisar as the gathering place for ZDF PvP operations when I first started playing and also home to my shenanigans of stealing ships. o7 Port O!

You can park a lot closer by looking for the flattest area near a site and try to land IN the site with docking assist on, and it would try to land you where basically half of your ship is in the site

My beef with ED is the lack of content and the way Frontier went about propping that up with a crutch. We're 300 years in the future and somehow we have 38 space faring vehicles, and 9 weapon categories to choose from with no real variation between the base weapons (half of which are just useless. Completely unusable like cannons or torpedos), So with the lack of things to do and ships to fly and guns to shoot you could have everything too quick, right? Nope, because the grind is IMMENSE. Progressing anywhere takes an eternity.

In SC my favorite activities are low flying, dogfighting, stealth bombing, FPS missions and responding to player service beacons.

I love how many stars ED has, I wish SC went down that route too, it creates a true sense of endless freedom to explore. Unfortunately it also creates endless repetition and next to 0 unique or meaningful content, so after a while of exploring a tiny fraction of it you will already get tired of the few and boring discoveries you make. The way CIG are building the game, it might be a long way away to get any meaningful number of star systems, and while we already have plenty of meaningful gameplay in that 1 star system, it's that insane feeling of endless exploration we might never get.

Elite Dangerous is a game. Star Citizen is a broken tech demo. There is really nothing meaningful stuff to interact with, or any meaningful stuff to explore. It's just eye candy, that's it.

As tedious as this is, as someone who absolutely loves this game I just love doing it. It's a good time killer.

im a new flight sim guy who loves all things science so space stuff is cool as fuck to me. guess im going to have to get down with these two eventually

When I scan the thing it says no new data found I don't get the notification that I got the BP and I don't see 1 in my inventory and the thing is just sitting outside for like 5 minutes it hasn't gone back inside where it came....I made sure I targeted it and scanned it and nothing happens....

I’d like to know more about NPC interdiction. I’m considering trading in a Cutter or Type 10. Is it common to avoid an NPC interdiction? If not what is the strategy? Should I fight the NPC? If so what combat ranking do they usually have? Do I drop a few mines and try to get back into super cruise?
