    you can have a limpet pick up multiple items by making sure that nothing is targeted. the limpet will continue to pick up objects until none remain it runs out of fuel and self-destructs.

    Collector limpets “Get Over Here”

    3:10 is definitely a big thing to consider. I bought a T9 after mining with my Python for a while, and the sheer size of the cargo hold and lack of maneuverability made me miss my python almost immediately.

    Great video, thanks for the outline of what exactly to do and get started with mining. Now, I can give this another try, probably with a less inappropriate ship than a Fed Gunship. Maybe one of my Orcas would be good for this. Quick, moves well, forward slots for mining lasers. Chuck the passenger cabins for cargo racks.

    While it's true you can mine in any ship. But thinking it's cheap to get started is a stretch. You'll spend more than that Sidewinder is worth betting it setup for mining.

  • @desertvik1ng

    A few more tips...1 - pay attention the speed and rotation of the asteroid and position your ship accordingly, so your collector limpets don't slam into it. 2 - All pips to weapons when firing the mining lasers. 3 - Always run grade 3 prospector limpets so you can have 2 going at once, fire one, target it, then fire another waiting for the first to land. After you've depleted the asteroid, fire off prospecting limpets while your collectors are cleaning everything else up. 4. Pick a frame of reference (I like using the planet) and always be moving toward it when prospecting. 5. Don't neglect mining missions - these can give you reputation, high grade materials, and $$ (pro tip - go to Ceos and pick up Bromelite mining missions in a Type 9, you'll be swimming in mats and $$ and working toward that Corvette all at the same time).

    • @Captain_Archer

  • @MasterZhao
    @MasterZhao 2 года назад +1

    1 key misconception is that people think there are different types of limpets. There is only 1 limpet. The controller is what "programs" the limpet for its purpose. Think of it this way, when you go to restock your limpets there is no separate category for repair, prospector, collector, there is just limpets.
