Speaking of home systems, I wish that the station would recognize me as a person that lives there and not treat me like I'm just visiting every time I come home.
Well... if you are allied to the controlling faction, then you will get a message when requesting landing that you are most welcome there :) Edit: if you are using EDDI then you will get sometimes messages telling you you are xy light years from home... and when you return to your system you get welcome home message :)
In my system, maybe it's just this voice actor, kinda grizzly sounding guy. says "priority docking always accepted commander. Welcome back." Makes me feel fuzzy.
I have ~2000 hours in game but I'm still looking forward to all the videos like this that are gonna be coming out to help the new Epic players. You're never too experienced to learn more stuff about this game. Great video as always Astro!
O7 Commanders, new pilot here thanks to Epic Games, just started watching these videos! Already in an Asp Explorer currently fitted for mining and cargo missions, and most recently got a Vulture(yay for careful power management lol) but I'm thinking about my next ship. So far I'm thinking it might be a Python!
Oh, forgot to mention. My home base is currently Chambo, only because my girlfriend decided that's where she wanted to make her home at.. I'll probably move sometime soon, perhaps to Sol once I get the Federation ranks up a little more and the permit. :P
@@blakeirvin3011 Yes Blake go for a Python. It's a multirole workhorse and my current favorite ship, and I have had an Anaconda and a Cutter but I always come back to my Glorius Python which I am in now even with 1400hrs+ in game.
@@darklawtivity6831 what i mean is that by paying 40 dollars i expect ships to get interiors and not some sort of update to horizon (even if its just a corridor between the cockpit and the exit)
@@banu6301 The main reason why they aren't doing that is because it takes much more time to do that. Maybe in the future it'll be added but the dev would have to add interiors to 30+ ships when instead they could be working on the actual essential functions of things. Again, maybe once there is actually a lot of content added that will be a consideration, but for now it's mainly about adding actual important aspects to the game. I honestly could care less about interior for that reason. I'd rather have a lot of things to do outside the ship (since that's what they are working on) rather than just seeing my interior with little things to do while walking around.
For me the best starter home system, hands down, was Meredith City in LFT 926 (Dark Wheel main faction). It is like a mini Jameson Memorial. Tons of the best modules. 1 jump from Shinrarta itself. 1 jump from Viktorenko Holdings in CD-33 8748 which has Interstellar Factors (really cool looking station). 1-2 jumps from Anyanwu with Compromised NAV beacon. Has a Mat trader, a Tech broker. The list goes on and on. Give it a shot. It was my solid home for a long time before getting access to Jameson. o7
Any idea if it is a good home for traders ? Your message really makes me want to go there after ending the starting system and I really love transport missions
@@Kruxien Well a quick check on EDDB Loop Route finder I found shipping Gold and Water-Purifiers between Harrison Terminal (LP 254-26) and Bohm Terminal (LHS 1914) , nets you a cool 22,632 Cr in profit per ton. Ray Gateway in Diaguandri is hard to beat! Not far from Jameson crash site, & you can find almost everything within 1-2 jumps, including most power types. All material traders within 1 jump aswell... I've had access to Shinrarta Dezra from the start. But Diaguandri is still home...
Ray Gateway is indeed a top rate system, I use it as one of my stop stations where I park a few of my ships (I’m planning put a few low jump range ships scattered around the bubble that are parked for specific tasks at specific spots ( for example if I dedicate a ship for combat I’m going to invest in it’s combat capabilities and not it’s range, same for a mining ship, etc) and have a dedicated long jump travel ship to go where I need to be.
I used Ray Gateway too until I had access to Jameson Memorial. You forgot to mention it's biggest advantage: Ray Gateway gives 10-15 % discount on all ships and modules they sell (which is a lot) !
I Just started playing, farming 1.2Bil space cheddar and rep in Ceos - Solthis, Robigo -S olthis route. going to make my big purchase in 7 andromeda and move to Ray gateway as home.
Cernan Dock in GCRV 1568, it's orbiting a Painite mining spot, is still firmly within populated space and is controlled by Li Yong-Rui. Just make sure to turn off chat when mining at night, trust me...
@@JanneOksanen I always leave my Cutter and Python there as well, both mining vessels. But with how small the bubble is and how long it often takes to accomplish anything, using my DBX Taxi or exploration Orca to get from A-B and just recall whatever ship I need works out well enough.
@@niCeIIcux Often people just discuss mining with the usual complaints being repeated ad nauseum. But then there is also incessant FC spam, usually by people who try to buy below 710k/Ton even though FC's that pay 710 are a dime a dozen in a 50 Ly radius around the system. Sometimes people go nuts and write about their fondness for "tentacle molestation" and other edgy stuff.
"We've narrowed it down to 88 stations", at that point i noticed Okinura was the top listed system, I had this as my home system for a long time. Maybe not now but prior to the krait being added, apart from imperial ships, you could buy every ship in the game there

More recently, my home system is in 59 Virginis. The hazres is right next to a station there, and the view is incredible, with a beautiful ringed earth-like home to billions of people. An absolutely incredible system, long live the Alchemists!
System IX, station Scully Power Station. 1 system away from all material traders (used for engineering), 20% discount on ships and modules. May not have much in system but close to those who do. Also central to starter engineers, not far from Daves. Working great for me

I made trade elite in the first week I played ED, thank you Hawkes gaming, so Shinrarta was an obvious choice. When working on combat elite I moved to Copernicus Observatory in Asterope no gravity well and tons of Thargoid scouts to kill. Okinura - Fisher Terminal - It has all ships in the game except imperial ships and has most modules. We (Earth Defense Fleet) obtained this via a Community Goal for this station. Modules that are not available are generally in another station within the system or 1 jump away.
My choice of home station is George Lucas in Leesti. It's mostly based on RP preference, but it objectively has a lot going for it. As an OP Elite player, when I first started playing my goal in life was to get to Lave and buy a Cobra. I assumed Lave Station would be home, but when I got there I was disappointed to find that you can't actually buy a Cobra there, and as an agricultural system it didn't have the aesthetic I wanted. Staying within the Old Worlds, when I got to Leesti and saw the name George Lucas attached to a high tech station I knew I'd found home. I later discovered that it's the only station in the game that offers two unique commodities, and the system is also home to an Engineer. And being an Alliance supporter, choosing an Alliance system is a HUGE plus. I buy and store a lot of ships and modules at Shin Dezh, but after 3 years, Lucas has one other advantage that no other station has: It *feels* like home. Maybe it's because I play in VR and love RP, but I get a genuine warm feeling when I see it after being away on an extended adventure. I have to also give a shout out to Copernicus Observatory in Asterope, which is my AX home away from home. Great facilities, convenient location, and it's right in the middle of the Pleiades conflict.
My homestation is Cori City 😃 it is a close to main system of my faction, and to double painite hotspot. It is also high tech and refinery, and has decent outfitting.
My home is Hackworth Orbital in Ehectal. It's right in the middle of the bubble and I can get to Federal, Imperial, or Alliance space easy. It's the system I did a lot of early bounty hunting in my DBS.
As a Founder KS pledger, I had access to Jameson Memorial from day one, so I've used that as my shipyard and player base of choice as it has all the equipment. What I intend though is a station base for all my "hero" ships, ie those that are fully equipped and need no further engineering for their specific purpose. For that reason my choice of station is purely from the heart, and it's Ravescene Memorial (my named station from the KS campaign) in Futhark. If I ever get a carrier for all my hero ships, it may well be stationed there.
My buddy is already elite in trade and I just started, so my home station is McArthur Gateway in LHS 346. 346 1 is a class III gas giant with pristine rings for panite and void opals also plenty of res sites in the area for combat. He hops over one jump from Shinrarta and we mine there.
Started about 2 or 3 weeks ago, now staying in Ceos as home station, as I still have federal ranks to grind, nearby there is a really good spot for Python's passenger missions as well, so can easily grind credits and pilot ranks.
My home station is "Bunch City" in Ross 104, It was my brothers home while I was a vagabond, so when we started working together, I shifted to Bunch, started buying ships, and that is where the majority of them live. I also have my mining fleet at "Anderson Orbital" in Irula, where some members of my squadron go out either mining or babysitting.
My home is with the Princess and that means Medupe City, Cubeo. But I love these suggestions commander D2EA! I'm gonna let my bro watch this, so he knows how to park his ship nearby Cubeo in something that serves him 👍
I recommend Nu Tauri for bounty hunters. There is a plethora of RES (all types), most of which that are less than a LS away from one of two stations, an asteroid port or an Ocellus Starport (The astroid station is on the same ring as the RES, and the Oceullus Starport is in the same oribit, between the ring and planet) . Controlled by li yong rui, and not too far from any of the engineers in the bubble. In addition, its a good system for farming raw materials as the planets there are very plentiful. Been my home for the longest time, and I wouldn't mind a little company for myself and my friends :)
Nu tauri is great for collecting vanadium 10% on one planet, also other rare metals in good amounts. My home system is Khuzwane(one jump away) and I love it. You drop out of super cruise at 8Mm near fiennes port(manufactured trader too) Close and lots of combat Rez zones, mining(decent sell rate for diamonds,30 seconds away) and has the same large 2 factions as Nu Tauri(simbad regime, galileo corp) The system has tons of minerals on the planets for SRV grabbing. One resource spot I grabbed at least 30+ minerals when I landed.
I'm a bit torn on this. I have a number of friends that said they'd like to try out ED when it goes free on epic, and I have a feeling that many of them are just going to be massively overwhelmed with just setting up the controls and learning the basics like how and when to ask for docking permission. I think there's easily so much info here that it would make their brains explode... I'm also of the personal opinion that a new player should be learning or getting help with learning to use all the in game tools and resources BEFORE jumping onto external resources like EDDB. It's not that they aren't good resources it's just jumping in and out of the game really destroys the "immersion factor" and becomes more of a crutch if the player never learns to use the in game map for trade data or route planning. One of the things that really drew me to ED was the sense of exploration and personal discovery and for me at least that even translated to discovering the ships in the game. When I first started playing I didn't know how many ships there were in the game and that sense of "ooh what's that" when you saw other types of ships around docks is something I would never trade in for the bland "starship spreadsheet database". Anyhow.... I think is a really good guide for any player who's looking to relocate to a new area, but I don't think I'll be recommending to my friends who will likely be bombarding me with questions like. "why does the throttle gauge get squashed really small sometimes?? "
I started about 4 days ago and granted it took me a while to get used to all the stuff, especially manual docking. But the thing with asking docking permission i pretty much picked up instantly. Started in a Sidewinder as everybody else, moved to a Cobra and started hurling Cargo from one place to another and i got around alot. I then bought a Type-6 for even better Cargo moving until i finally took upon mining. After a little bit of trial and error on how to do it and one helpful guide later i made 40 Million in my first mining run, purchased a Krait MK2 and went off with that for mining until today i finally purchased an Anaconda and equipped her pretty good. Took that one for a Mining trip and now i'm sitting at 200 Million Credits, with a Vulture and a DBX in my dry dock aswell. Next thing i'm gonna do is grind rep for the Corvette ( i just want that damn thing, it looks awesome!) get the Engineers going and then i'm off to explore in my DBX, probably.

The internet does take away a lot of exploration in games in generals. Even a walkthrough removed some of the content of a single player game. Now we have the same thing, but spread in 100s. of videos and websites for a very big online game. But you are free to ignore all those external resources of course. And they also become a meta-game of their own. I was hunting for meta-alloys and discovered that the tools are not always correct....
Is there a list with all the specially narrated starports (like obsidian orbital) I also remember a flight operator berating me for using automated docking in my early days
My main home was hackworth orbital in ehecatl, i randomely stumbled across it while trading in my hauler and I thought that it looked cool back then I used to visit every station in a system buying and selling from each station lol, I still have my type 9 parked there and do a lot of trading there
Another consideration as of 2021 is a station with a human technology broker. Following certain CGs, two previously limited edition double engineered modules are now available to everybody: a seeker missile rack and FSD. They are only purchased from brokers in exchange for a selection of materials (not credits) which must be given each time for every module you need.

Liked and already subscribed. You always have great vids. I am helping a new player get started. This exactly what we both needed. I didn't know about the Commanders Tool Box. Thank you!
I like to filter by economy. You can see the different station interiors and get an idea of the general outfitting they would carry. I also like to have a Mat Trader or IF in system. Gende was my home system for a very very long time. Good outfitting in high tech economy, so the interior was cool. High Res site for PvE, close to PowerPlay headquaters. 1 jump from a haz res system with IF.
i think finding a home system is more relevant than a station, for example i park my carrier in duamta, it has 4 main stations and a few planetary bases, so lots to do, lots of missions. perhaps finding a system with many stations and choices is also a good idea
I chose Feynman Terminal in Bhritzameno, just a few days into the game and I'm already allied to the controlling faction. Really nice early-mid level station if you don't mind the 1300 Ls supercruise distance!
I guess there is also the roleplaying perspective. I wanted my home to be in imperial space, and ended up settling on Hiyya Orbital in the Arjung system. It has the other benefits mentioned in this video as well as also being a Li Yong-Rui system. A good option for upcoming imperials! Great video!
Hallo. My Nickname and Callsign is "Stingray" or "Ray". So "Ray Station" in Diaguandri is... the BEST selection. As an old Star-Trek Nerd, i love "LHS 3006", Leonard Nimoy Station. Good Beginner System (Station near Entry, close mining ring for PVE, all Systems nearby got ther stations close to the sun _ short ways, good cargo missions, good passenger missions. Relaxed System.
For new players, the best station is in Okinura: Bennett Gateway. It has every ship in the game except for the special Imperial or Alliance ships. It also has a lot of outfitting options. Also, it has one of the most beautiful station interiors in the galaxy. I've been living there since I started playing the game. Until a player gets to elite rank (at which point they can move to Jameson Memorial), Bennett Gateway is the place to be.
Another good home station would be Ohm City in LHS 20. It's my personal home station. It's pretty centralized in the bubble. It gets a discount and it's pretty fairly stocked and to top it all off It's very close to some hazres rings And now with this new combat buff it's pretty good I'd say
400 Billion solar systems - Pick one. It doesn't matter where you are or who you do missions for as you'll be moving around for missions or trading so you may as well get a mission from the destination target especially in trade, but even after combat you can still dock up and check out that mission board. Certainly look forward but when you reach Elite status in any of the three pillars you get access to Shinrarta Dezmundo system thingy and you may as well put your fleet there. Really it doesn't matter as long as you know what the ships are for so a hull designed for mining could be left at the mining system you've found so you can fly there in a trading ship - high volume (higher than the miner) and perhaps a larger jump range too - that courier will be your taxi when you want to mine. Systems for combat and material collection, will change over time so you'll still need to move around to find the nearest/convenient system in the civil war/war state for those combat missions.
I am a fan of Neto, and the home station of Ising Vision. Pretty decent selection of ships, good outfitting options, close to mining locations and bounty hunting.
I "live" out of Fisher Port in the LP 128-9 system. Spent alot of time there doing Federal missions and ranking up. Just decided to stay there, plus there are rez sites and conflict zones
Well, you missed out on the most important part imo. The number of different minor factions represent in the system. More factions means more missions which again means more profit/hour.
I mean it's pretty hard to get al the searches, he showed the general search that you can change yourself to suit your needs. For example bounty hunters will be looking for resource extraction sites, pirates may look for interstellar factors and poeple playing missions for othe things. A single search can't suit all playstyles sadly.
@@davidfisekovic1482 Agree, and it's not even possible to look up the number of minor factions in a system, i guess. Dave always does a good job, but I was just missing out on that information - maybe a way to search for the number of factions.. Most tubers focus way too much on ship discount and module availability. I mean, it's just not so often you need that, compared to doing missions.
Now that I have a carrier I don't care if anyone else uses mine. You have to get a permit but Dark Star in Tiliala was my home for the longest time. The permit limits traffic and since most gankers don't bother with useless permits you're pretty safe from human players. Dark Star isn't far from the main star and there is a HazRes near the station too; great for combat testing your builds. It's also located near Shinrarta so it's pretty centrally located.
Olker - Hovgaard city. Just off the beaten track enough to keep out of everyone's way, whilst also being quite close to everything i need. + enough pirate factions, to constantly keep a log of 20 kill pirates missions.
I always love these videos. Just seeing unique places other than Memorial makes me want to actually root in somewhere else. For mats/combat grinding there are objectivity better places to go, but still, there are a lot of people that make JM great for social aspects/messing around while docked.
I'm so confused. Just left pilots federation went to the first welcome to the galaxy brought me to samquit. Those places you mentioned are 100s of light years away. How are those just starting out bases? I've been doing missions around 13ly away from Sam quite for 4 days now. All I can really do is transport missions where do I go? I want steady work instead of supercruising to random starports hoping to get transport missions.
My home Station is Jefferies Port in Ugrivirii because I'm an Imperial, who serve the Empress Arissa Lavigny-Duval and like to bring the justice with his ship so this is the best place for me, the station is just next of extraction sites and, when I need something i go to Jameson Memorial because Shinrarta Dezhra is not really far
12:07 you mentioned the 3 but not CQC. AFAIK, CQC Elite would also give access to Shinrarta Dezhra although yeah, it takes a lot longer than the other 3
@@DowntoEarthAstronomy hahaha. Yeah, it really does need a progress revamp and lot more added! Hopefully Odyssey will yeild some content for the structure of progression, the payouts, ships, space maps as well as the ground part they're adding. I still have hope after all these years lol.
I'm currently in Bursch Enterprise in Saktsak system, I don't know why I ended up there, but is nice, close to almost everything, it has a technology broker, a material trader, and I have VERY close a planet (Saktsak AB 5) with one of the richest ring I've ever seen, like 4 Void Opals hotspots (even a double) a couple of LT diamonds, tritium, alexandrite, and a bunch of other I don't even remember minerals.. I don't care much about discounts, I can do ~260mil in one run of void opals and I sell them at very good price just a couple of jumps away, so money is not really a problem
i started playing ED when it was free on epic. i wanted to buy an asp explorer so was searching for the nearest system near me the was controlled by li yong rui. it was lumbla and to this day it had ended up as my home system for now (may change later :p )
I imagine Jameson memorial being the obvious choice as a home station for many players once they hit the rank Elite, but for me it's too much for an obvious choice as a target for Thargoid or other possible negative events, as a station where you have access to everything, and I don't want to keep all my ships there for that reason, besides Earth isn't too far away, just a couple of jumps, which is where I keep my ships, and when i need equipment, i just hop over to Jameson Memorial.
@Obi-Wan Kenobi I would also say hitting the station that is named after the guy that led to their defeat, and the home of the best pilots, would send a strong message. Sol system I imagine, would have extremely strong defenses and the hardest fought for, for the reasons you mentioned, and untold ships would be launched from Earth itself. For the Thargoids, it would be like throwing their ships against a brick wall.
I kinda like He-Bo, its really nothing special, no perks, sub par ship parts, but for me its the middle of engineers, and it's closer to jackson's lighthouse (almost always use this when traveling out the bubble) i think i chose it because it had a large population, and i kept passing by doing missions in my sidewinder
Great video!! Was there a change to the Advanced Multi-Cannons?? I can only buy class 1 and 2 fixed... Should there not also be class 3 and turreted??? I am at Jameson Memorial
Many thanks for the great videos - really helpful to newbies (me). If you are ever stuck for a topic, after a lot of searching I am still baffled as to how minimium shield sizing works. When I have a ship I want to use for delivery missions only (ASP) and want to put the smallest shields in it that are only ussful for interdiction or the odd bump, I cannot work out if the shield stats just need to cover the mass of the empty ship, or the ship with max cargo. And are bi-weave better for this use? Any help on this much appreciated.
HAHAH it's so funny, I see you guys looking for info on how to _play_ games the same way I do to _MAKE_ games (looking how to do occasional obscure things, that are not easy to find in any tutorial etc. In my case it would be how to... like, how to apply a percentage of the Hand bone to the foreArm Twist bone, in Unreal Engine Blueprint or always little stuff like that... ;)
@@schoolhomevrtechnologyassi6286 Don't understand your comment. In ED to fit out a ship you usually have to buy a shield module. These come in all sizes and strengths. After days of interweb searching I still cannot understand the max/min strength requirements as no proper explanation. I think a lot of people just buy the biggest and best they can, but I (and I presume others) would like to know how to actually size things properly. Details in ED are crazily complicated.
My home is Jameson's :) I don't know why I love there, it's because it is the Founders World, because all retired pilots go there, even if it was in real life, there has to be a retirement place :) All my modules and ships are there in a hangar with my name on it. I earned that place, working hard, maybe for some it was easy, for me it was a bit harder, I earned that place having no single engineered ship, engineers I started visiting after I got myself the FSD booster (very hard, I did it alone without point defence installed, forgot to take them), now I can go anywhere in the bubble, just a few jumps. It's strategically positioned, I can go to almost any engineer in less than 10 minutes and Jameson's Crash site is a few jumps away, thanks to the booster. I don't know, it "feels" like home there. There are better places, or it's just a matter of taste. :) o7 D2EA :)
For me too. Nothing beats a home station, which can travel with you. Sometimes it´s hard to find parking space (CG`s or well known mining spots), but then it`s only one jump away.
@@mk2design especially when said home station can store your few dozen ships & modules with no fee and no added weight for jumps. Don’t need stations with good outfitting when you bring it with your carrier
I think the criteria you are using should be redone by who kind of role the person plays. Like combat, or doing runs to and from close systems, or mining... Want to only mine diamonds and sell in same system there is one perfect for that. Want to only to conflict zones with missions for that as well there's a perfect system for that as well. But your video is VERY informative.
Speaking of home systems, I wish that the station would recognize me as a person that lives there and not treat me like I'm just visiting every time I come home.

(even if its just a corridor between the cockpit and the exit)
@@banu6301 The main reason why they aren't doing that is because it takes much more time to do that. Maybe in the future it'll be added but the dev would have to add interiors to 30+ ships when instead they could be working on the actual essential functions of things. Again, maybe once there is actually a lot of content added that will be a consideration, but for now it's mainly about adding actual important aspects to the game. I honestly could care less about interior for that reason. I'd rather have a lot of things to do outside the ship (since that's what they are working on) rather than just seeing my interior with little things to do while walking around.
@@darklawtivity6831 it’s been 3 years they just ruin the immersion by having you magically teleport outside and back in your ship
It was my solid home for a long time before getting access to Jameson. o7
Thanks. This helps a lot.
Any idea if it is a good home for traders ? Your message really makes me want to go there after ending the starting system and I really love transport missions

Cernan Dock in GCRV 1568, it's orbiting a Painite mining spot, is still firmly within populated space and is controlled by Li Yong-Rui.
Just make sure to turn off chat when mining at night, trust me...
I have my mining Python parked at Cernan Dock and the rest of my ships at Jameson Memorial.
@@JanneOksanen I always leave my Cutter and Python there as well, both mining vessels.
But with how small the bubble is and how long it often takes to accomplish anything, using my DBX Taxi or exploration Orca to get from A-B and just recall whatever ship I need works out well enough.
GCRV 1568 is mine also(Cernan), great view, great mining.
Just curious, what's up with the chat? Is it that bad? And you mean in open or just NPC spam a lot?
@@niCeIIcux Often people just discuss mining with the usual complaints being repeated ad nauseum. But then there is also incessant FC spam, usually by people who try to buy below 710k/Ton even though FC's that pay 710 are a dime a dozen in a 50 Ly radius around the system. Sometimes people go nuts and write about their fondness for "tentacle molestation" and other edgy stuff.
"We've narrowed it down to 88 stations", at that point i noticed Okinura was the top listed system, I had this as my home system for a long time. Maybe not now but prior to the krait being added, apart from imperial ships, you could buy every ship in the game there
Bennett Gateway ftw

@@igorpankovic5214 Bennett Gateway has all the ships, most of the outfitting, and it has one of the most beautiful station interiors in the galaxy. I just got this game today. So you and all your tools and helpings are about to become my best friend.
I made my way to Cormack Hub in Proycon and it has been a great choice because of it's proximity to good trade hubs, resource zones and variety of missions.
My very first home system was TZ Arietis, I did a lot of bounty hunting and worked my way up to a Vulture there, I'll never forget it!
Working great for me
Scully Power Station in Ix is where I used to call home. Has good selection of ships and modules at the discount.

I made trade elite in the first week I played ED, thank you Hawkes gaming, so Shinrarta was an obvious choice. I ran that as my home until I got a fleet carrier
Having a guardian tech, and mat trader, in a mid bubble system, with Li Yong Rui

Yep , high tech , Guardian module , and 15% off .
Thatvwas my newbie home years ago. Great system to live in!
Laughs in "thome gateway" in hip 16607
I'm gonna let my bro watch this, so he knows how to park his ship nearby Cubeo in something that serves him 👍
i would ecourage visiting planetary stations from time to time. they are loads of fun! :)
I'm still waiting for the odyssey showcase of planetary stations
You drop out of super cruise at 8Mm near fiennes port(manufactured trader too)
Close and lots of combat Rez zones, mining(decent sell rate for diamonds,30 seconds away) and has the same large 2 factions as Nu Tauri(simbad regime, galileo corp)
The system has tons of minerals on the planets for SRV grabbing.

Is there a list with all the specially narrated starports (like obsidian orbital)
I also remember a flight operator berating me for using automated docking in my early days
My main home was hackworth orbital in ehecatl, i randomely stumbled across it while trading in my hauler and I thought that it looked cool back then I used to visit every station in a system buying and selling from each station lol, I still have my type 9 parked there and do a lot of trading there
That was my home up until a few days ago.
Ehecatl was my home system aswell
Another consideration as of 2021 is a station with a human technology broker. Following certain CGs, two previously limited edition double engineered modules are now available to everybody: a seeker missile rack and FSD. They are only purchased from brokers in exchange for a selection of materials (not credits) which must be given each time for every module you need.
Really useful and clearly presented information. (New player). Thanks.
I always encourage players to get elite in trading ASAP can't beat Jameson Memorial.

As someone whose home station is George Lucas in Leesti, I appreciate that choice!
Keep up the great work man!!!
I am a fan of Neto, and the home station of Ising Vision. Pretty decent selection of ships, good outfitting options, close to mining locations and bounty hunting.
Ha! Hip is right around the corner from Foda Port in Lauma.. that was my first "home" after leaving the starter area. I might move over there.
Tremendously helpful, saved a lot of time and frustration, thank you!!
I think the best station for someone who is starting is Jameson Memorial or a station near by. It has all modules and ships so you can experiment.
Jenssen Gateway in 64 Ceti was my home station for the longest time. Orbits a binary star system so you get a great view for screen shots
Jameson is the perfect home system.
Feynman Terminal in Bhritzameno had some good outfitting and isn't horribly far from it's star. It's also not far from the starting area.
This was really succinct and specific! Very helpful, thank you!
Great video, I recently got into the tourism industry myself, very relaxing.
Hi. How about looking for HighTech Systems rather than special Modules?

I would suggest Jensen Gateway in 64 Ceti and Scully-Power Station in Ix.
I also recommend the cobra mkIII it is a general ship that is cheap and good at most things
12:07 you mentioned the 3 but not CQC. AFAIK, CQC Elite would also give access to Shinrarta Dezhra although yeah, it takes a lot longer than the other 3

i went from Mate to my Squadrons Fleet Carrier then i eventually and currently living in Jameson memorial
Thanks for the video.
For the Thargoids, it would be like throwing their ships against a brick wall.
may i ask how do you get this amazing colour in your hud?
I kinda like He-Bo, its really nothing special, no perks, sub par ship parts, but for me its the middle of engineers, and it's closer to jackson's lighthouse (almost always use this when traveling out the bubble)
i think i chose it because it had a large population, and i kept passing by doing missions in my sidewinder

Where do i define in ED my HomeSysrem ? Or where i see my very first system ?
My home is Jameson's :) I don't know why I love there, it's because it is the Founders World, because all retired pilots go there, even if it was in real life, there has to be a retirement place :)
All my modules and ships are there in a hangar with my name on it.

My home station is my carrier... so i take my home where i need it and wen i need it... 🥳
Most expensive RV home in game... also my home...
@@Spartan086 Yes that’s true, but you don’t have to pay upkeep at a home station. Big trade off.
Is there any specific areas for beginners to do some bounty hunting? I reached to Ohm Station but they are OP....
Go to extraction points (Low)
Do not go to the higher ones until you upgrade your ship.
Your wallet will thank me
