- The Supra 2.0 is totally new for 2021 and Toyota wants to make the Supra more accessible . Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 that is pumping out 255HP & mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic. This Supra looks almost identical to the Supra 3.0 except for a few details. Subaru has announced all the details of the 2022 BRZ and one area were some people are still disappointed is the engine. It's 2.4L flat-4 produces 228HP but can be mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Is NOW the time to buy a 2021 Toyota Supra or WAIT for the 2022 BRZ?

I had a manual 2015 BRZ, now I have a yellow Supra 2.0. Loving it so far! Definitely feels like an upgrade.

I own a Surpa 3.0 but I like the stance and look of the 2.0, and the seats seem more what I'm used to. It's actually pretty fast...It'll be faster than the current 370z if those quoted numbers are true. I'm happy they gave the 2.0 the same look as the 3.0. 2.0 Supra is a cool car!

I have the 2.0 and I love almost everything about it. The brakes are a little grabby, and heated seats would have been nice, but overall my car in Nocturnal is a beauty that loves to go fast!
I personally love the super inline for cylinder BMW hopefully I can get one in 2022!! It has more horsepower and torque then the Subaru model 86 2021 overall I prefer the 4-cylinder over the inline 6 just because of the overall performance abilities!!!
The 2020 Supra is actually my favorite Toyota Vehicles including the 4Runner and the Tacoma. Love how yellow it is because yellow is my favorite color.

I wasn't really in the market for a supra but one came to my local dealership that I couldn't pass up. Base 2.0L with zero options and advertised selling price under MSRP. I love how unique the car is and it doesn't sound bad for a 4 cylinder. But I would only want to buy it in its base form. The one tested here at 48k I would pass on and get a base 3.0L.

My Mustang GT was 49k. Got almost twice the horsepower and every option on the menu.
I agree, definitely not worth the money in my opinion first off a bmw power train major zonk, and not only that it’s very impractical and for 48k you can buy a 2014 gt500 for that much or less. Tbh this should be a mid 30k car at most.

Bought a 2022 2.0. Love it as my daily driver. I don’t go to the track so it has more than enough power for city driving and canyon carving. The car is a joy to blast through the roads near Jerome Az.

I would pick the 2.0 over the 3.0 because it costs less, is still very fun, and I live in a city where 45mph gets you a ticket. So I couldn't use the extra speed of the 3.0 anyway.
Just get an SS or Mustang GT for this overprice piece of metal. Or Type R

Great vid and mann the Supra is my realistic dream car but some of its shortcomings like no shifter or other luxury interior features like heated and ventilated seats, power adjustable steering wheel, lacking middle arm rest and center console, idk if I could live without those. I know that’s not what this car is about, I just love the design and handling looks awesome.

I don't know about that. The Infiniti Q60 Redsport, is about 58K. I'm assuming the 400Z is gonna be priced around the Supra 3.0.

But I'm waiting to see where the MK8 R price comes in at later this year. It will out perform this at similar money and more practicallity. That's the review I'm hoping gets the Chapel Hill chicane.

this supra should have been priced closer to the eco boost mustang. because for $45k i could get a GT Mustang or Camaro SS that would be cheaper to maintain and a whole lot more fun to drive

I was looking to trade my 19 Mustang Ecoboost for this car but I think I'll stay with her. Im not paying damn near 50k for a 4 Cylinder. My EcoBoost was 20k and I make more power and I can do a lot to my EcoBoost with 30k.

Now that Raiti has unequivocally established himself as an undeniable "butt man"😉, let's talk about the car. That back window is a concern. Also the door panels are quite opaque and bland. It's a bit pricey, but the 2.0 is reachable for many. My first love is the Miata for its flawless handling and road feel. I'm looking forward for you to to do a "comparo" with the Miata RF and this 2.0 Supra. Should be fun!
Saw this today in person, was TINY, but sexy, except the BRZ 2022 front looks ten times better IMO:) if you dont need back seats this is the car!

See to me I think the BRZ beats the Supra because of the price. BRZ is going to be in a low 30s and the Supra is 48,000 that price difference isn't worth 25 extra horsepower. what's that price difference I can add a turbo and still be under 48,000! I loved the review and have a Merry Christmas
I love the look of the Supra but I'd rather buy a base model C8 before I spend 55k on a Supra.
Good luck finding one and actually paying base MSRP.
i recommend checking your area first because some areas the c8 gets priced close to 100k and some times even over 100k but thats mainly on some areas that its in high demand

bump steer issues with supra if you track it... buy a used BRZ/86 put little bit money on it to make it faster then the new one for less the cost... or wait for the 400z if you want a supra like but with a manual...

Finally...a real Twinkies test. lol. The most technically accurate test in the world for cubic inch and feet measurements in my opinion. Its truly amazing how many Twinkies per square foot fit in my 2020 Ridgeline. Unfortunately my wife told me I'm not allowed to have any ho hos in my car, but *Ding Dongs* and my *peeps* are just fine. Hope you read what I did there.
On the car front I would purchase the 2.0. Just because for everyday use you would never use the full potential of the 3.0. You get the look without the expense of power you cant even really use on a day 2 day commute.
