Happy Friday guys! Big thanks again to Keeps for sponsoring this video. Be sure to go to keeps.com/redline to get 50% off your first order. We will be driving the 2023 GR Supra Manual and GR Corolla in 2 weeks! Stay tuned for our coverage on both of those cars!
I made a replica on the Xbox with a 98 model. I should take a video of it only if my camera phone won't delete any good ones. It's like someone is hacked it to screw with me
as someone who likes to drive with the windows down be honest with me...im going to test drive one soon but as much as ppl talk about it i almost think its a no go
@b1indsided I don't think it's a no go. I have an Audi S5 coupe, the wind buffeting is definitely worse in that car. Either way, I was able to get rid of the wind noise completely for $9. It's a non issue.
@b1indsided you fix it by literally putting 2x $7 black plastic things on the outside A pillar that blend right in and you never even notice they're there- it's a non issue (altho stupid that engineering never corrected it)
Bought my 22 Supta a month ago and I must say.. I love it!! Was going to wait a buy a new Z but after doing my homework by comparing both cars I decided on the Supra. I always get people complementing me on my car and everytime I drive it I'm like a kid with his favorite toy. So much fun!!
@legkun4584 Except in looks. The Supra looks like the fender bulges were added as an afterthought to make the the car wider - kindof like the GR Corolla.
@davepaturno4290 the z looks a bit odd to me from the front unless the car is black. just looks like a straight up rectangle. both cars are sick, but look slightly...you know. love my supra, but also love the z. ps. the back of the z is 10/10, perfect tribute to the older z's.
@wat2875 I agree. The black Z looks good. Of course, a second gen NSX is on another level, but at twice the cost (2017 - used) of the Supra or Z. If I could swing getting the NSX, I would.
@fzr1000981 you are the only one who thinks that lol. Supra is one of the best looking sports cars on the road . Somebody thought it was a Ferrari the other day haha
After sitting and driving the car I was absolutely blown away. Just the amazing feel and siting on the rear tires is exhilarating. I would say this drives better and honestly looks better than the Z4.
Supra is outperforming the Z in every measurable metric, weight, horsepower, 0-60, lap times, MPG. The Z also has a notorious issue of cutting fuel in turns if the gas tank is 50-75% full. I think the Z will be a good GT car, but the Supra’s performance is in another league.
@jamieheim8009 I bet it still cuts off with low fuel! I'm pretty pissed about that because this is an OLD issue that should have been resolved. It sux it still exists.
I like it but I’m scared of how it will hold up over time given that it’s really a BMW. I hope this car doesn’t mess up Toyotas reputation for building reliable vehicles.
@billyalexander7302 The B58 engine in the Supra is known be be reliable. Not all BMWs break a lot. However still a concern as there will still be higher maintenance costs. Local dealer charges $210 for an oil change.
@billyalexander7302 Thats a fairly ignorant comment, not all BMWs automatically break with higher milage, lots of factors come into play. Any high milage car regardless of manufacture will have parts wear out as they age, its just how it is. Also many BMW owners who are non car enthusiasts tend to neglect maintenance which leads to faster wear and tear on components. This is a typical recycled statement pertaining to older BMWs. Most modern BMWs are far more reliable and the B58 just proves it. Theres a reason Toyota went with this engine and drivetrain from BMW. They did their own independent testing and found it was a reliable and well built platform.
@DippinItUp1hahaha, that’s just a bunch of crap . BMWs are money pits . They are reliable while they are new and under warranty . Once that’s gone, they start breaking in pieces , no exceptions . I had one where the engine blew up. It cost me 20k under warranty to repair .
For daily driving: Slow car fast. Not, fast car slow. It's more fun to squeeze every bit of power out of a slower car and still not get a ticket. More skill needed when you have to keep RPMs high and carry speed through turns
Higher. They dyno 370-385rwhp which is 430-450 bhp. There is a reason they trap 117-118 mph on the 1/4 stock. 2021-2023. The 2020 dynos 330-340 rwhp which is the one that actually makes closer to 400 bhp. 2 port vs 6 port and tune restriction.
@beexiong2995 yeah it goes from 11 to 1 down to 10 to 1 and the 21+ gets 2 more psi of boost. Lower compression can handle more boost safely which will pay off with the big builds.
Now all Toyota needed to do is offer this car with the targa top and manual trans 😍😍😍or even the targa with the auto they just need to offer the targa with that classic wing
I hadn't seen any Supras on the road until this past month, and now I've seen two of them, including one in blue which is only recently available as a color.
I have also a Turbulence Gray 3.0 Premium (red interior). I use it as a Daily car. I wish I could buy the manual. It was not an option in January when I bought my :(
Ugh I love it. Trying to decide between this or an M235i as a daily driver for work. Too bad the Supra can't fit car seats. Hubby's STI is our current family car & it would be nice to help him with driving the kids too. 😂
I love this thing, I have the 3.0 prem. The only thing I really want and would make me to trade it is a a Sun Roof. its not my perfect just because of that.
I bought mine in November 2021, and still to this day when I drive it, it brings a smile to my face. I also have a few mods, so the power is seriously even more than I imagined. The B58 is extremely potent.
Do you track it at all? And if so have you thought of any Aero upgrades? I like the idea of getting one of these. The style and potential is cool to me long term. I just feel it needs a little more downforce if I pick one up, and haven't seen too much yet.
@ChristianRunsNY I'm actually going to track it next Sunday at Sonoma Raceway here in CA. The only aero I have is a rear lip spoiler. My other mods are Titan7 wheels, downpipe, intake, and custom JB4 map. But others on the forum who track it regularly have gotten a front lip and GT wing for more downforce. I was considering getting a wing but I wanted to see how it feels first since it will be my first time tracking this car.
@westcoastplinkin6559 It will be worth it! They really struck a balance with the power, handling, and driving dynamics. And if you ever decide to mod, you can go in any direction you want and it will take it.
I love my '21, Supra 3.0 it’s such an outlier car, not for everyone. Amazed at the power and sound. Other Turbo cars like the Z don’t sound this good , saying they can’t get the deeper sound because of the turbos, but Toyota seems to do it right. The new Z is missing a lot of performance because it's still using an old chassis and a so-so V6 engine but it looks good and they’ll eventually get there. I’m disappointed that we are into 4 model years and Toyota has still not addressed the wind buffeting, the 9 non functional vents, (can’t they at least make half of them functional?) the dim infotainment screen, the ugly thin steering wheel, the old version infotainment , the stupid horn sound, and maybe update the front and rear ends, after all we’re at the halfway life of this car. But having said that, I look forward to driving this car every weekend, it always brings a smile to my face, I love small powerful cars that are different, and this one is special to me. The ZF transmission is lightning quick, but I Cant wait to drive the manual!
I got a 2021 A91 Refraction Blue Supra. Straight no bones sports car practicality. Catches a lot of attention. Fast out the box and minimal mods to take it to the next level. No complaints but you need a comfortable daily. That's why I got a 2019 C300 sedan AMG Line too 👍🏼😂
I have the car. To me it's not as bad as everyone says it is. Anyway a cheap aftermarket part can fix that issue. You can get one in carbon fiber that looks nice and costs like $30 so it's not bad.
My tailgate signal comes on in my dashboard sayings it’s open even then I knows it’s closed and locked. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this issue ?
Solid review as always - just one clarification: Supras are actually running iDrive 6, not iDrive 7. As an owner of a Supra and an X3 M40i, I definitely wish the Supra would have at least come with iDrive 7...iDrive 6 feels really dated.
@Austinomon right even with double the horsepower and weighing 500 pounds more. Boxers never got good mpg though my sti long ago only got 16 maybe 20 all hwy
I really hope Toyota doesn't go full screen with the new iDrive system. Just IMO the gauge cluster and infotainment should have some sort of physical separation between them. All of the cars with massive screens in them just feel kind of same-y and lacking in character.
Hi, please do tell me how does thia model have android auto? Is it an aftermarket job or it can be unlocked with software only? From what i know, it only has carplay due to security
I think this Supra looks great. I seriously thought about getting one. I have an M240i on order. I like both cars a lot. Can't go wrong either way. Great review.
Agree! I'm split between the Supra and the M240i right now... About to order the Supra because of the looks and maybe use it as daily driver but hesitant because there's no AWD option (I live in a snowy place)
@Libertino I think the RWD and looks will make this a special car to have long term. I bet one day these with low milage will sell for a lot. A nice perk if you want them long term.
The only thing about the interior that I like better than Z’s, is the Carbon fiber and the way the infotainment system looks. For everything else, I prefer the Z.
Supra wins in my opinion, much better engine/performance, better exhaust note (Z is really lacking in the exhaust note) Supra looks more aggresive inside and out. I actually think a 370 Z Nismo looks better than the new Z.
Love the looks, but having BMW ROOTS scares the hell out of me. I had a Z4 and a 5 series and I became well acquainted with their service personnel. So many issues.

For what
👍🏽
@Poe-007 good job
I made a replica on the Xbox with a 98 model. I should take a video of it only if my camera phone won't delete any good ones. It's like someone is hacked it to screw with me
Got my Supra 6 months ago. Absolutely no regrets. They really did a great job on this car.
as someone who likes to drive with the windows down be honest with me...im going to test drive one soon but as much as ppl talk about it i almost think its a no go
@b1indsided I don't think it's a no go. I have an Audi S5 coupe, the wind buffeting is definitely worse in that car. Either way, I was able to get rid of the wind noise completely for $9. It's a non issue.
@b1indsided you fix it by literally putting 2x $7 black plastic things on the outside A pillar that blend right in and you never even notice they're there- it's a non issue (altho stupid that engineering never corrected it)
@b1indsided amazon is my best friend. two wind deflectors is all you need!
I own one as well. My only regret is the horn. My testosterone level is lowered a bit, every time I use it☹
Bought my 22 Supta a month ago and I must say.. I love it!! Was going to wait a buy a new Z but after doing my homework by comparing both cars I decided on the Supra. I always get people complementing me on my car and everytime I drive it I'm like a kid with his favorite toy. So much fun!!
The Z is nice but the Supra is better in almost every way in my opinion
Does the interior feel cheap or premium? I'm hoping it doesn't feel cheap at the 60k price point.
Bought a 2022 GR Supra one week ago and I love it . It’s so nice , fast and looks amazing. Everywhere I go it gets a lot of attention.
For the wrong reasons, it's ultra fugly. 2023 M2
@fzr1000981 you are the only one who thinks that lol. Supra is one of the best looking sports cars on the road . Somebody thought it was a Ferrari the other day haha
@midnightquest9758 You need to get out more, and no one compares that ugly little turd to a Ferrari
@fzr1000981 what bro the Supra looks so good
@midnightquest9758 dont mind him. there's always a small percentage of haters for whatever car lol. mk5 supras lookin sick
They look so good speically with the simple mods. Also they make like 400whp stock which is insane.
“Oh my god the horn sounds pathetic” too funny
That horn tho... Toyota had to feel comical to do that to such a prestige car.
Always loved the look of this car!
watching you laugh an smile as you punch it makes me want this car that much more.
Sofyan's face really lights up when he gasses it.
Supra once tuned, it’s a beast
First thing I'm gonna mod when I get my supra is that horn. 🤡
Im not Rich … but this is the best car i ever owned
After sitting and driving the car I was absolutely blown away. Just the amazing feel and siting on the rear tires is exhilarating. I would say this drives better and honestly looks better than the Z4.
I love the drag reference 🤣🤣🤣
that was awseome video bro. thanks for it. keep it up. loved ur video
It sounds awesome!
WOW, love that exhaust!!!!!!!!!!!
Great review,! I'm narrowing down my next car
This car is just too amazing, I want to get one too, thanks for explaining, such a damn good car, he he.
Just ordered one...can't wait for this bad boy
Have a 2023 3.0 Premium coming next month, can't wait.
Great Job SOFYAN ...
That's very nice love the body and sound .
amazing car
HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE
Love the Supra but since I have kids who always want to tag along so I ended up with 2021 civic type R.
This car is a weapon
Supra is outperforming the Z in every measurable metric, weight, horsepower, 0-60, lap times, MPG. The Z also has a notorious issue of cutting fuel in turns if the gas tank is 50-75% full. I think the Z will be a good GT car, but the Supra’s performance is in another league.
That's what the Nismo's for...
@jamieheim8009 I bet it still cuts off with low fuel! I'm pretty pissed about that because this is an OLD issue that should have been resolved. It sux it still exists.
And looks better
It's got nothing on this beast. Supra is a god tier car that will only keep ascending@jamieheim8009
I like it but I’m scared of how it will hold up over time given that it’s really a BMW. I hope this car doesn’t mess up Toyotas reputation for building reliable vehicles.
Don’t know much about cars huh?
@DalitLivesMatters I know that’s this car is a BMW in disguise and BMWs break a lot once they get high mileage. That’s my main concern
@billyalexander7302 The B58 engine in the Supra is known be be reliable. Not all BMWs break a lot. However still a concern as there will still be higher maintenance costs. Local dealer charges $210 for an oil change.

Go Supra!!!
B58 + ZF 8-speed is the best powertrain on the market today. No matter what car it lands in, it just works. The Supra is no different.
If I could get another coupe, ‘23 manual would be awesome.
I hope this gets added to GT7!
Another perrrrrrfect daily driver. The GTI, 400z, 86/brz and Miata are also great daily sport cars.
For daily driving: Slow car fast. Not, fast car slow. It's more fun to squeeze every bit of power out of a slower car and still not get a ticket. More skill needed when you have to keep RPMs high and carry speed through turns
17:18 you’re right. These cars make more power than advertised. 400 hp at the crank is about right.
More like 420hp crank. They dyno close to 400whp
Dyno results are around 390 so 420-425 crank sounds about right
@TronS58 also 2020 has higher compression and so it runs at lower boost stock. 2021 and up have lower compression and higher boost stock
@beexiong2995 yeah it goes from 11 to 1 down to 10 to 1 and the 21+ gets 2 more psi of boost. Lower compression can handle more boost safely which will pay off with the big builds.
Got my 3.0 pro 3 weeks back. 1000 miles later and I love it’s character. Fast enough to put you in prison or worse. It’s great fun and enough
Now all Toyota needed to do is offer this car with the targa top and manual trans 😍😍😍or even the targa with the auto they just need to offer the targa with that classic wing
100 percent. If they did offer Targa I would seriously consider it over a vette.

I have also a Turbulence Gray 3.0 Premium (red interior). I use it as a Daily car. I wish I could buy the manual. It was not an option in January when I bought my :(
Car community in 2019: the new supra sucks, it's just a bmw, it doesn't have a 3jz.
Car community in 2022: the supra is awesome, the b58 is a beast!
Watching this and low key wishing I didn't buy a house 😂
Ugh I love it. Trying to decide between this or an M235i as a daily driver for work. Too bad the Supra can't fit car seats. Hubby's STI is our current family car & it would be nice to help him with driving the kids too. 😂
I love this thing, I have the 3.0 prem. The only thing I really want and would make me to trade it is a a Sun Roof. its not my perfect just because of that.
12:06 best moment
"oh my God, the horn sounds pathetic" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Do a review on Honda Civic sport hatchback manual
The supra!!! The ultímate driving machine!!!
I’ll have to admit that I love this car a lot -
Great job !
I bought mine in November 2021, and still to this day when I drive it, it brings a smile to my face. I also have a few mods, so the power is seriously even more than I imagined. The B58 is extremely potent.

@soapa4279 I can't wait to get mine! Will probably be another year or so, just to have the extra cushion in my savings. But damn, can't wait.
@westcoastplinkin6559 It will be worth it! They really struck a balance with the power, handling, and driving dynamics. And if you ever decide to mod, you can go in any direction you want and it will take it.
Lmao , well you haven’t even had it a year yet… I would hope it still makes you smile. You said that like you bought an MK4 .
Its a sports car.....form over function. You want good visibility get a minivan
Woo first in and first like!
Did you forget to mention the windows-down buffeting?
I love my '21, Supra 3.0 it’s such an outlier car, not for everyone. Amazed at the power and sound. Other Turbo cars like the Z don’t sound this good , saying they can’t get the deeper sound because of the turbos, but Toyota seems to do it right. It’s also pretty rare which is icing on the cake IMO.
Car always put a smile on my face every time I stepped on it. Sounds so amazing!
When are you reviewing the manual version?
you should consider becoming a rapper
Nice car. Fast
Essentially, this is a modernized BMW Z4 roadster.
Why is the passenger door panel different color than the drivers side ?
Very Nice Bro! Get Good People!
That really has a lovely snarl and growl, just like a Ferrari.
I got a 2021 A91 Refraction Blue Supra. Straight no bones sports car practicality. Catches a lot of attention. Fast out the box and minimal mods to take it to the next level. No complaints but you need a comfortable daily. That's why I got a 2019 C300 sedan AMG Line too 👍🏼😂
I love the sound of it. Love the crackles and pops. God what a BEAST!
I’ve never seen boneless hair until 2:20
I WANT THE G90 REVIEW😩
I’d love one with the manual.
Coming soon!
I’m surprised they neglected the wind buffeting issue still.
It likely requires more than a diffuser on the mirror (i.e. redesigned sheet metal).
Dont wanna be that guy but even Cayman and many sport cars(in the price range) have that issue and everybody gave it a pass
I have the car. To me it's not as bad as everyone says it is. Anyway a cheap aftermarket part can fix that issue. You can get one in carbon fiber that looks nice and costs like $30 so it's not bad.
This and the Z are both great cars. But the Z is more my style.
I just put a deposit down for a 2023 Supra 3.0 manual, but the dealer says Toyota estimates a 12 month lead time before delivery😞
toyota supra roof got me actin crazy
props to zf for their transmissions. the shifts are so quick and smooth. And that engine its paired to is 👌🏼
Any difference between the 2021 and 2022 models ?
Supra!
😯 The horn does not sound appropriate
Waiting for a facelift...
My tailgate signal comes on in my dashboard sayings it’s open even then I knows it’s closed and locked. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this issue ?
What’s not to like with a 400 hp b58?
Solid review as always - just one clarification: Supras are actually running iDrive 6, not iDrive 7. As an owner of a Supra and an X3 M40i, I definitely wish the Supra would have at least come with iDrive 7...iDrive 6 feels really dated.
Great combo what year is X3 M40i and what do you love about it and dislike so far?
Just checked Toyota's website and there is no mention of it so I do not think they have added Android Auto yet.
Fun fact: Supra actually makes 397 HP and 423lb Torque to the wheels. More than Toyota claims. 🙃 Also launch in 2nd gear. Not first. Better tractions.
Typical BMW downrating their engine output
Also gets better MPG then BRZ/GT86
Did you see this from the Savagegeese video? It makes like 440 to the crank but those numbers make it seem a bit higher (like 450 to the crank).
@AP1GO9000 thats so crazy
@Austinomon right even with double the horsepower and weighing 500 pounds more. Boxers never got good mpg though my sti long ago only got 16 maybe 20 all hwy
When is the Range Rover review posting?
I really hope Toyota doesn't go full screen with the new iDrive system. Just IMO the gauge cluster and infotainment should have some sort of physical separation between them. All of the cars with massive screens in them just feel kind of same-y and lacking in character.
I'm 6"2', sill I fit in the driver's seat?
I've see'em and they look small and short
Drinking game: take a shot every time he mentions the superiority of the Nissan Z.
Not really. I'm only 5' 10 and I felt like I was sitting in a very small car. The roof is low even with the lump
Do I like it? No. Do I hate it? No. Anyone wanna share Jagermeister from a Sake bottle?
Gazoo (Jetsons)
Hi, please do tell me how does thia model have android auto? Is it an aftermarket job or it can be unlocked with software only? From what i know, it only has carplay due to security
Now that's a real nice looking car and if they make a convertible. 🤔 That thing would be sick 🙄
The BMW Z4 then…
@Slowwagonftl pretty much
@Slowwagonftl classic
I Did not know my Model 3 long range beat those 6 cylinder supras until i did lol
@layne4376 you wish you could have those gaps in your honda 🥴
@layne4376 this was 1992 😂😂🤣 ruclips.net/video/AcmGzQedEE8/video.html
I think this Supra looks great. I seriously thought about getting one. I have an M240i on order. I like both cars a lot. Can't go wrong either way. Great review.
Agreed!
Agree! I'm split between the Supra and the M240i right now... About to order the Supra because of the looks and maybe use it as daily driver but hesitant because there's no AWD option (I live in a snowy place)
@Libertino the AWD sold me on the BMW
@Libertino I think the RWD and looks will make this a special car to have long term. I bet one day these with low milage will sell for a lot. A nice perk if you want them long term.
The only thing about the interior that I like better than Z’s, is the Carbon fiber and the way the infotainment system looks. For everything else, I prefer the Z.
Good for you, then go buy the Z.
@3rayallen what do you mean “then go buy the Z”?
What the hell, dude? 😂
Supra wins in my opinion, much better engine/performance, better exhaust note (Z is really lacking in the exhaust note) Supra looks more aggresive inside and out. I actually think a 370 Z Nismo looks better than the new Z.
Maybe when the new mustang comes out demand drops for this car
2022 has Android auto?
I love everything about this car but the price tag. Lol
This car still wind buffet like a mugg?
That is literally a clown car horn 🤣
I still don't see in on the streets
Love the looks, but having BMW ROOTS scares the hell out of me. I had a Z4 and a 5 series and I became well acquainted with their service personnel. So many issues.
Theres a 100k+ milage Supra already and it has 0 zero issues.
What sound are you responding to? The pumped in synthetic sound or did you override it for this video?
Supra > Z imo. I prefer the looks and the engine.
You mean the BMW?
@TheThrowbackStreet Bmw is the best!
@TheThrowbackStreetoh sry you mean the BMW that Toyota made better yeah one.
