A very electrifying reaction⚡⚡ ! Yes, he took the audience (especially that one lady in the front row 😁) to chuuurrch ⛪! Try A Little Tenderness was released as the third single from Otis Redding's 1966 album: "Complete & Unbelievable: The Otis Redding Dictionary Of Soul". It was written by Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly and Henry Woods. It was produced by Jim Stewart, Isaac Hayes and Booker T & The MG's. The song reached #4 on the R&B chart and #25 on the Hot 100. This live performance was from his 1967 tour of Europe with other Stax Records artists including: Sam & Dave and Eddie Floyd. His backing band for this live performance is Booker T & the MG's.
Otis Redding did not want to record this song, but Stax Records executives and his friends wore him down with a constant barrage of requests. When he finally recorded it, he did it with a pleading vocal that he was "sure" would not be released. The ploy didn't work. Otis Redding's version of the song: "Try A Little Tenderness", became his signature song and the biggest-selling of the records released before his passing.
The song was first recorded on December 8, 1932, by The Ray Noble Orchestra, with vocals by Val Rosing. Another version, also recorded in 1932, was made by Charlie Palloy & His Orchestra.
It (Otis Redding's version) has been named on a number of "best songs of all time" lists, including those from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is in the 136th position on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time as of the list's 2021 update.
In the 1991 Irish film: The Commitments, the band performs the song in the style of Otis Redding. The version by The Commitments reached No. 13 On the Irish chart. Additionally, it appears in the film: Pretty in Pink, and was sung briefly by Eddie Murphy as Donkey in the film: Shrek. Otis Redding's version was also sampled in the song: "Otis", recorded by rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West, from their 2011 album: Watch The Throne.
    Otis Redding Info 📰:
Otis Ray Redding Jr was born on September 9, 1941 in Dawson Georgia. He passed away on December 10, 1967 in Madison, Wisconsin. He was a singer and songwriter. He is regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of American popular music and a seminal artist in Soul music and R&B music. Nicknamed the "King Of Soul", Otis Redding's style of singing gained inspiration from the Gospel music that preceded the genre. His singing style influenced many other Soul and Rock artists of the 1960s.
Otis Redding, who was 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed 220 pounds, was an athletic family man who loved football and hunting. He was described as vigorous, trustworthy, full of fun and a successful businessman. He was active in philanthropic projects. His keen interest in black youth led to plans for a summer camp for disadvantaged children.
Otis Redding was born in Dawson, Georgia, and at age two, moved to Macon, Georgia. At an early age, he sang in the Vineville Baptist Church choir and learned guitar and piano. From age 10, he took drum and singing lessons. At Ballard-Hudson High School, he sang in the school band. Every Sunday he earned $6 by performing Gospel songs for Macon radio station WIBB, and he won the $5 prize in a teen talent show for 15 consecutive weeks. His passion was singing, and he often cited Little Richard and Sam Cooke as his primary influences. Otis Redding said that he "would not be here" without Little Richard and that he "entered the music business because of Little Richard - he is my inspiration. I used to sing like Little Richard, his Rock 'n Roll stuff ... My present music has a lot of him in it".
Otis Redding quit school at age 15 to support his family, working with Little Richard's backing band, The Upsetters, and by performing in talent shows at the historic Douglass Theatre in Macon, Georgia. In 1958, he joined Johnny Jenkins's band, The Pinetoppers, with whom he toured the Southern states as a singer and driver. An unscheduled appearance on a Stax Records recording session led to a contract and his first hit single: "These Arms Of Mine", in 1962.
Stax Records released Otis Redding's debut album: Pain In My Heart, in 1964. Initially, Otis Redding was very popular mainly with African-Americans, he later reached a wider American mainstream Pop music audience. Along with his group, he first played small shows in the American Southern states. Otis Redding later performed at the popular Los Angeles night club called Whisky A Go Go and toured Europe, performing in London, Paris and other major cities. He also performed at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967.
Shortly before his passing in a plane crash, Otis Redding wrote and recorded his iconic signature song: "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay" with Steve Cropper. The song became the first posthumous number-one record on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts, as well as the first posthumous number-one single in Billboard music chart history. It sold approximately four million copies worldwide and received more than eight million airplays. His album: The Dock Of The Bay, was also the first posthumous album to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart.
Otis Redding's premature passing devastated Stax Records. Already on the verge of bankruptcy, the record label soon discovered that the Atco Records division of Atlantic Records owned the rights to his entire song catalog.
In September 2007, the first official DVD anthology of Otis Redding's live performances was released by Concord Music Group called: "Dreams To Remember: The Legacy Of Otis Redding". It featured 16 full-length performances and 40 minutes of new interviews documenting his life and career On May 18, 2010, Stax Records released a two-disc recording of three complete sets from his April 1966 Los Angeles night club performance at Whisky A Go Go. In 2016, all seven sets from his three-day residency at the venue were released as "Live At The Whisky A Go Go: The Complete Recordings", a 6-CD box set that won a Grammy Award for Best Album Notes.
Otis Redding's music made him wealthy. According to several advertisements, he had around 200 suits and 400 pairs of shoes, and he earned about $35,000 per week for his concerts. He spent about $125,000 on his "Big O Ranch" in Macon, Georgia. As the owner of Otis Redding Enterprises, his performances, music publishing ventures and royalties from record sales earned him more than a million dollars in 1967 alone.] That year, one columnist said, "he sold more records than Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin combined". After the release of his 1965 album: "Otis Blue: Otis Redding Sings Soul", Otis Redding became a "catalogue" artist, meaning his albums were not immediate blockbusters, but rather sold steadily over time.
    Otis Redding Passing 🙏🏾:
In, 1967, Otis Redding and his band was traveling to performances in his Beechcraft H18 airplane. On December 9, they appeared on the Cleveland television music show "Upbeat". They played three concerts in two nights at a club called Leo's Casino. After a phone call with his wife and children, Otis Redding's next stop was Madison, Wisconsin, on December 10, they were scheduled to play at the Factory nightclub, near the University of Wisconsin.
Although the weather was poor, with heavy rain and fog, and despite warnings, the plane took off. Four miles from their destination at Truax Field in Madison, Wisconsin pilot Richard Fraser radioed for permission to land. Shortly thereafter, the plane crashed into Lake Monona. The Bar-Kays band member Ben Cauley, the accident's only survivor, was sleeping shortly before the plane crash. He woke up just before impact to see bandmate Phalon Jones look out a window and exclaim: "Oh, no!", Ben Cauley said the last thing he remembered before the crash was unbuckling his seat belt. He then found himself in frigid water, grasping a seat cushion to keep afloat. As a non-swimmer, he was unable to rescue the others. The cause of the crash was never determined. Besides Otis Redding, the other victims of the crash were four members of the band The Bar-Kays: guitarist Jimmy King, tenor saxophonist Phalon Jones, organist Ronnie Caldwell and drummer Carl Cunningham as well as their valet, Matthew Kelly and the pilot Richard Fraser.
Otis Redding's body was recovered the next day when the lake was searched. The family postponed the funeral from December 15, to December 18, so that more people could attend, and the service took place at the City Auditorium in Macon, Georgia. More than 4,500 people came to the funeral, overflowing the 3,000-seat hall. Otis Redding was entombed at his ranch in Round Oak, about twenty miles north of Macon, Georgia. Jerry Wexler delivered the eulogy. Otis Redding passed away just three days after re-recording his song: "(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay", and was survived by Zelma and four children, Otis III, Dexter, Demetria, and Karla. On November 8, 1987, a memorial plaque was placed on the lakeside deck of the Madison convention center, Monona Terrace.

    He died at 26
He was rushing to a rehearsal. He had bought a plane
He tried to drive it on E.
It ran out of gas and landed in the ocean
    It killed him!
His entire band died but one
Otis was found dead under the plane
He had been stuck all night there
    He had no money!!
He had been performing and not getting his checks after performing
Otis was sad in his end.
    He never expressed his sorrows
But people saw he was hurting

This is more likely a european performance because white americanos weren't feeling otis redding like that, in fact most of the soul songs were popular outside of the states with the exception of black america.
