I remember this coming out in 81 when I was in the 2nd grade and my best friend had the record so we were at her house jumping on her bed while dancing to this! We got into trouble too when her mom caught us jumping on her bed! I know now that it was a one hit wonder but at the time I think is kids liked it more than adults.

The Osmond's and the Jackson's were doing it at the same time.. Michael and Donny .. the youngest brothers in both groups.. the stand outs.. crazy times.. but they had respect for each other.. Michael and Donny were friends as much as they could be in the music industry at the time.. same age.. the youngest's in their groups and the most popular of their brothers. It's just so sad that Michael is gone.

BTS is a 7 member group from S. Korea. They have been around since 2013. Although they started as hip hop group, their discography is diverse. Dynamite is the first of their English trilogy released during the pandemic. It's happy poppy to cheer up people. If you listen to their non English songs, turn on cc for subtitles. BTS is currently not active as a group due to military service and will reunite after June 2025. However they still release solo contents during this period (pre recorded of coz). Probably you can checkout their latest solo release; RM - lost. He was also featured in Megan Thee Stallion's latest single, neva play. Jin - the astronaut, co written by Coldplay. Hammer produced the album and wrote all the songs on it including this one. But I don't remember it from back in the day, perhaps because it sounded too much like Hammer, or perhaps because my ears were peeled for songs that sounded like Public Enemy and N.W.A. "Fight the Power!" But maybe also because the hip-hop station I listened to back then was broadcast from Compton and may not have embraced the music coming out of Oakland vis-a-vis a Southern California verses Northern California rivalry. I dunno. The 357 in their name refers to a .357 Magnum gun rather than a telephone area code. The number 357 was only recently added as an area code and the only reason I know that is because it was assigned as an overflow code for the region of California where I live.

When this song we thought a man was singing lead and the Pointer Sisters were background vocals. They all can sing lead. Unfortunately, the lead singer is the only one alive.

They were related. The lead singer was Veronica, Estelle was her sister and Nedra was their cousin. Nedra is the only one left now.
