Thank you! Money definitely talks. I wasn’t fully onboard when Kyle was reselling odds and ends but he started making some decent cash and it showed me that this has potential. I dove into jeans on my own and built this store so Kyle could quit his job and help scale what I had going on. He was happy to have me on board with reselling :)

I tried to explain this business to my husband and he just doesn’t get it because people do not willingly buy used clothes in his world-indeed, I can’t find a regular thrift store here to save my life, although I have heard rumors of a market and Riyadh. I never did find it when I lived there.
I plan to restart my eBay store when I get back to the US and trying to explain to him why this is a good idea is like trying to explain an American grocery store to somebody who lives in a village in Egypt . It just doesn’t compute.

It’s true! I don’t think we live in upscale though. Most of the St Louis, MO area is pretty mid. There’s definitely a lot of stores though!

Great video, I just found you guys as I have been working on doing a niche Jeans store myself. I have been reselling for close to 12 years but took a 2-year break and now getting back into things again. We used to sell a mess of different things back before but now I want to primarily focus on one type of item and go from there. I think I pretty much binge watched all your videos now lol. Also just got the materials to build my photo station as well. Thanks for all the help and keep doing what you're doing goes, Awesome job.

How far do you drive to the farthest thrift you go to?
Thank you! I’ve been putting it together little by little over the years :) I believe the farthest we drive for a thrift store is 30-40 mins but we plan for it and hit the thrift stores surrounding it.

I wanted to ask if you’ve used the shipping discount feature under promotions tab? I do not have business policies in place for combined shipping and wanted to hear your thoughts on either methods or both. Thank you😊
I do my shipping discount with my shipping policies. I haven’t done it in the promotion tab so I don’t really know what to say about it!

We have one completed set so far, working on another, and then we have a large assortment of other Pokémon cards that we’ve collected throughout the years and that viewers have sent us! So many! 😄
An idea: How about starting a Patreon community? If you charge for memberships, which is very common amongst creators, they only take up to 12%. As you know about advertising on YT, they nail you for 50%. If you were to charge an affordable fee of say $2 a month, your take would be $1.76 per membership. If you were to get 10% of your YT subscribers to join your Patreon, that would be at least 1500. The total based on those figures would be adding over $2500 to your monthly income. That would be a steady source and not seasonal.
This has definitely been a thought Kyle and I have had. I’d like to offer more things for an affordable price. I’ll keep thinking on it!

Do you feel like the new lights work as well at lighting the board as the box lights?
I had thought about selling pre-owned clothes on eBay (getting the clothes from the Goodwill Bins), but I have the 2 below concerns:
1. If I buy clothes (or whatever products) on a regular basis to sell on eBay, then won't the clothes (or whatever products) at some point start piling up in my house ... because I assume chances are they won't all sell quickly (or some not at all)?
2. It seems there are SO many people selling clothes (or most any other product) on eBay that it seems it would be very hard to regularly make a lot of sales, because of the competition. It seems to me that the thing I am selling would just get drowned out by the multitudes of others selling the same or very similar thing.
How legitimate are these concerns for someone wanting to get into eBay to make a living at it (or at least $2K in net profit each month)?

Another great video. What size poly mailers do you all use? Im starting to dabble in clothes and have no idea what size to order.
For jeans, we use 12x15 and for shirts I use 10x13. However, I think when we merge the shirt store into the jeans store, I will use the 12x15 so we don’t have an extra step in the process of which bag to choose.

How did you bundle the lululemon pants for that buyer, does she pay one shipping fee for one package or does she have to pay shipping fees 3 times and send separately? Thanks!
I have a shipping policy set up so ebay automatically discounts shipping on every additional item that’s added to the order. If they accept my offers, I can merge them together manually in an ebay invoice and adjust the shipping that way. If I accept their offers, generally ebay wants automatic payments so I have to refund their order with the difference of the shipping discount. It’s not streamlined at all unfortunately since ebay came out with automatic payments
What are the brands that you picked to put into your store to sell? I know this sounds silly but how do you start your own store?

I’ve heard people having success with it. I tried it out once but I just didn’t enjoy the flow of processing it. I’d rather just pick up higher asp single items vs lotting them up. But if you already have the inventory, it wouldn’t hurt to try it out!

The measuring more drives me crazy....that would be my biggest problem of not wanting to do when asked as i do them in pictures anyways....i need to be better that that.
Hi, do you wash, iron & lint roll each pair before taking pictures. Or just wash and fold right away?
Just wash and fold! We have a lint roller on the side for just in case after we throw an item up on the board and it needs a quick roll. For my shirt store, I wash and lay flat in a pile to get a good amount of wrinkles out.
I’ve been having an issue with the color looking different once buyer receives the item, and many ppl asking what the color really is bc it looks different when I’m taking measurement pics. So I only use one box light on instead of 2, and on some listings I show item near a window with natural light.
Natural light will be your best friend if you struggle with getting an accurate color.
@@carrieathomeyes, I do a near window pic for colors that change on me. And taking away one box light also helped.
Is there a benefit or trick to having more than one ebay store? You mentioned shirt store and pants store.
No benefit, I just kept my shirts separate from my main store because I’m building my shirt store from the ground up for a challenge and wanted to also have the data separate as I learned a new niche.

I link to my shirt store because I know people want to follow along and look around. I’m fine with that on the shirt store because it’s a side hustle. But the jeans store is our income and I don’t want to open the door to thousands of lookers. eBay’s algorithm doesn’t like a bunch of people looking at stuff and leaving. They’ll think something is wrong with my stuff. Thanks for asking!

can you use usps priority padded flat rate envelopes to ship items you sell through the global or international shipping program?
When shipping with eBay’s global shipping program, you’ll mail the item to their distribution center and from there ebay will ship to the customer overseas. So you just ship your item out like usual with address ebay gives you on the order. 👍

2 questions. Whats your store name on Ebay and approx how many items to you sell per day?
I don't share my main store name because it's our primary income and I don't want to screw anything up with eBay's algorithm and an influx of visitors. But for your second question, we sell on average 30/day regularly and around 20/day during the summer.

Not from what I’ve experienced. I’ve gotten sales after clarifying a question and I’ve prevented returns because I answered their question before they bought it. I also like seeing “great customer service” in their positive feedbacks :)

My store has been sluggish too, but that's summer slowdown unfortunately :( not as many buyers shopping on ebay when they're on summer vacations, celebrating holidays, kids are out of school, etc. Just a little longer and we'll be in the clear!

At the bins, it's about $1-$2 and in retail stores, I can spend between $5-$10 on a typical shirt.
