You should make a video on how you pack and ship larger items like the golf clubs, tennis rackets and bats to get the lowest shipping cost.
Try a 4x4x48 boxes for golf clubs and bats. Cut them down to fit proper length. And ship UPS ground.

Try a 20x15x6 box. Wrap 3 times in 5/16 bubbles wrap. Fill any empty space with packing paper.
Always appreciate your sharing. I have found some amazing deals thanks to your past videos about how to source other than at thrift stores.
There are some exceptions to niche market profitability and resilience. For example, I've sold thousands of $$ of 1950s & 1960s vintage nightgowns and they always sell and they only grow in value - supply and demand; although they are getting harder and harder to source, they are impervious to market shifts, etc. Furthermore, the US is one of the few places they are preserved, usually found in old estate closets and thrift shops. I have a global client base because so many people around the world can't access them anywhere but online.
Also, although I've been a niche hobbyist seller on ebay for over 20 years, I've learned more from you about sell-through rate than anyone. Thank you Jake!

In one of your videos you mentioned having a lot of draft items in eBay. A tip I found out when I did this was if the item is NWT or NWOT, put that at the end of the title. You want to enter the titles so you can sort them alphabetically. I had a box of 40 items and 45 drafts. It was nearly impossible to determine which were duplicates because you can't search your drafts. You can sort by the columns but only by ascending or descending. Once I took out all the titles that started with NWT or NWOT, it was easy to determine the duplicates and erase them.

I have not started an ebay account yet, still just selling on Facebook marketplace but I've found that pet crates, pet fences, baby portable cribs and walkers with seats sell within a week or two at a 300-400 % profit.

Great point about 'everything' sellers. I have primarily sold in niche markets and while very profitable, they are very susceptible to varying market conditions.

Love your math and strategies. As a fairly new full-time reseller, I’m approaching my business with similar logic. I’d love to keep my inventory below 500 with a goal of 100% sell thru as well.
Any insights into how to churn older inventory? Do you subscribe to the end listing and sell similar with a dropped price? I’m wondering how much time/energy I should be putting into selling older items. I’m not sure looking everything up again to see current sell-thru rates is the best use of my time. I’m considering just pulling anything over 180 days that’s listed for under $20(?) and donating it. That will open up shelf space for new, better quality items.

High sell through rate...got it. You're right BUT it's the sourcing. These items (ray bans and Bose speakers) are just not in my thrift stores. Ray Dunn is 😮 I think instead of always talking about amazing sell through rates, RUclipsrs would address over saturation of resellers in thrift stores...maybe different sourcing methods or categories--a Sony dvd player is a unicorn to me!!
That won't happen for a while yet. When that happens, it will have the same effect as it did on thrift stores. You can't give the secrets until you move on to the newest thing.
Since electronics will not be on my list due to my zero knowledge, I need to find something else to make good money, and that probably would be golf clubs, as we live in rural resort area, golf courses are around each cornet, often sold on garage sales. So Jake, could you please please make a video on golf clubs, what goes and how to ship them. Thank yoooouuuu!
Electronics are about 95% of all my sales. I have extensive electronic knowledge. However, anything else, and I am lost in the sauce...lol. I tried clothing, but that didn't work out...lol. I will just stick with electronics.

Turn the camera on your phone on and point the remote into the screen. If you see the remote light up then it is sending a signal and considered working.

are u sending those bats with the usps priority mail boxes? it's so expensive to send thru priority. I had a customer accept an offer on a bat and didn't realize it was gone cost $40 to ship from Cali to NY and ended up canceling
