Hello This video very interesting , I like the way you explain especially when you say I sell a" Tones of These " its giving a very positive and really wish to sell more and more, just would like to update here is this video record since 6 month back? and what I mean is the items you are selling in the video still on Trend ?and wanted ? I have some of those you mentioned and I will try to post them thanks anyway
New subscriber here just because of your comments about spending time with your family because what else is there in this world?? And I'm coming to you as a widow who lost her 42 year old husband 💔
I added massagers, eye glasses, sun glasses and curling irons to my inventory and they all seem well and can be found cheap. Found a real vintage 90’s pair of Versace sun glasses for 50 cents that sells between $150-300…they were sitting in a bin of eyewear at a local thrift store. Just started picking up massagers and sold two quick. Name brand Vacuum parts sell quick too. I started out selling VCRs and combo units, some of those go for $$$
Thank you for being so generous with your time & knowledge. I am taking notes & and I realize I need to watch this video more than once to really take it all in. TY 🙏🏾 Your advice on resale / family balance is invaluable. Looking forward to part 2.
I get a ton of great info from your videos so thanks a million for that! I don't know if you'd be interested in doing this but, I'd love to see how you pack and ship the large or awkward shaped items you ship. Thanks!
I used to live where Jake lives now, and I can attest that having easy access to Deseret Industries is a huge advantage. There are a few scattered around SoCal, but we only have one here in San Diego county - about an hour from where I live. Goodwill is like decaf when you've had the good stuff. 😂
@@TheSteveBoyd Yeah, but unfortunately pricing is getting worse at some stores. At least they don't do the same thing Goodwill does by shipping everything off to a central warehouse to be sold online.
Im adding new categories all the time after watching your videos. Last week I sold a broken Canon camera for $35 because it was pink! And a non working Magnavox VCR/DVD player for $50. I never would of thought non working items sold so well!
MY FAMILY IS WATCHING WITH A LOT OF INTEREST. I HAVE ALL THESE ITEMS AND MORE. They are not throwing away anymore. They go to garage sale, buy, and place in extra rooms and storage.
Of course you should do a part two! Thanks as always for your generosity of knowledge. Some successful people jealously guard their tricks & techniques, but to my mind that's an outdated way of thinking. Paying it forward is definitely the way to go. Good karma for you, man! I've taken your advice and expanded from coin store to "everything seller". Other than shipping going from super-easy to a huge pain in the butt, and the giant piles of stuff crowding me out of my little 300 sq ft beach bungalow, it's going pretty well! You've been a tremendous help. ☮
Loved this video, definitely need a Part 2, 3, 4, etc. Sorry to hear you are sick, get well soon. I took your advice and started looking at eyeglasses/sunglasses. This was a couple of months ago in another video of yours. A couple of days later, found 4, NWT, pairs of eyeglasses for $1.25 (Versace, Tura, Tiffany). Have sold 2 of them already for $100+. Thanks so much for the BOLO!
Just wanted to say thank you, I remember you talking about hair curlers a while back. I was at a thrift store that did not really have much of anything and I decided to check out the hair curler section and found a babyliss .
First time I came across one of your videos, very informative so thank you! One thing I really would love to know is how you keep track of your inventory/sales/profits? I waste too much time trying to optimize anything I do on the computer that I'm doing the opposite of optimizing my time lol
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!!! Thanks to you I am now sourcing the curling irons and other hair appliances and selling them easily. Only problem is that my competition has also been watching your videos and the good ones are harder to find lately. I would love for you to do a Part 2 Video!
Do you check everything to make sure it works and if so how? For example the remotes, seems like it would be hard to check if you don’t have a compatible device. I’d be afraid to sell something if I didn’t know if it was working. Thanks for the video. I appreciate your approach to help others 😊
Jride Flips, your authenticity, valuable contributions, and sincerity have earned you a new subscriber. Your videos provide immense benefit, and I plan to apply the insights to enhance my newly opened eBay store. Your dedication is commendable, and I look forward to your continued success. Best wishes.
I just want to say that I really appreciate your posts. Your delivery is calm and factual, and you're not selling anything. Some of these other accounts really grate on me. I thank you and wish you great success.
So I bought a nice working dvd/vhs player and had it priced under the competition and it sat for months before I sold it for much less than I wanted to on offerup. What did I do wrong there? it was a Sony SLV-D281P
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, this is great! I was a fan already on eye glasses. I just so happened to pickup that Medical massager a couple weeks ago to give it a try, so happy to see it in your video! I agree with you on being an everything seller. When something isn't selling something else is and I always found that it also helps you be continuously selling. Thanks again! Feel. better!
just discovered your channel. Great information. I was (am) a toy/game & holiday seller but decided I need a better return and faster turnover. Going to give your categories a try. Thank you.
Hi, could you tell me what is the best app to use to check prices for resale? Also how to sett up ebay account. I am senior citizen trying to make some income that I need. Thank you, your video is very helpful.
Thank you. I am a new subscriber and love your approach. For years I have been reselling larger hard goods in a booth and the labor is not sustainable. You give me hope for a new way to do things and yes please for a part two.😊
Thank you Jake for all your helpful knowledge that you share with us. Will be nice if you do a part 2. Hope you feel better, take care of yourself first. God bless you
WOW, simply, WOW. This is whybI keep watching you. All the information and no filler crap. Definitely take care if yourself and get better. Oh, yes, definitely a part 2. I am starting to get together some of my own things to start with plus some that isn't doing anything on Marketplace.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Would love a part 2. Question, as an everything seller how do you allot your time researching items? I feel I’d get lost down the rabbit hole.
Part 2 for sure!!!!! So this might be a dumb question but how do you find or where do you find the sell through rate on a product? Thanks so much for all the great intel!!! 👍
Not JRide, but it's just math. Take the # of that item sold vs the number listed. 100 currently listed, 75 sold = 75% sell through in that time period. 100% is the obviously most you can sell.
I love digital camera! I recently found not 1, but FOUR Canon 180 sd's. One was new open box and sold the same day as listed for $330. I paid $3 each from a fb buy!
I have put your information to use and it works. I bought a Sony CD remote for.50cents and it sold within a week for 39.99. I have many other examples all of which you covered in part one. Please make a Part 2 video. Preferably when you are feeling better. Thanks for all the info you graciously share!
How do you determine the seven fastest sell-through rate items in the thrift store? Or do you walk in already knowing which areas of the store or estate sale or garage to go to?
This video is gold. Very informative. I'm just starting to play with selling. I sold my first item a few days ago within 2 days of listing it. It was fish food that was given to me lol. I'm excited to see how this goes 😊
Appreciate your videos! Am at a low point in my reseller career and need some encouragement. You help to keep me motivated to do research and be prepared for thrift store runs!
Figuring out how to box very diverse items is what concerns me. Seems like you have taken an opportunity to make good $$ filling a need because a lot of folks worry about the same thing as I do. Good advice. Thank you.
I'm an everything seller, but the main part of my business is used clothing. My top 2 categories are men's jackets and men's jeans. I've sold over $28,000 in each category this year so far, which equates 25% of my total sales.
I have that Nikon Coolpix for listing photos because I don't like using my phone because of arthritis. It's a really good camera and molded so that I can take photos one handed if needed. If the camera is under 10 pixels, the batteries blew up inside or has a scratched lens I walk away when shopping.
Thanks for the heads-up! I grabbed four subwoofers for about $22 yesterday. When you test them, do you have a bunch of different companies soundbars and pair each subwoofer to those or just plug them in to see if they power up and sell them that way?
When something you've listed sells, how to do find it in your inventory? For instance, the huge pile of hair curlers, how do you quickly find the one you need?
Fantastic content & loving the way you did this video! When you buy home receivers, do you make sure they have HDMI inputs (which ages the receiver obviously) or does it matter? Must have a part 2 please, get well!
Great video! Question: regarding cameras, how do you check functionality? I imagine they don’t all have their batteries or if it’s rechargeable that they’re worn down. How do you go about checking thanks
@JrideFlips I've just started in the reselling game a few moths ago with selling microphones & since it's been going pretty well, I was looking to expand. Thank you for the transparency & information!
You literally just opened my eyes to hard goods... Thank you! PS im in Indiana now but was raised in Utah. Lived all over both utah valley and salt lake county. Great state for sourcing. Also lived in Seattle, WA, wich had a lot of luxery clothing in the thrift stores... Just moved to Indiana and I have not checked out my thrift stores yet. As I took a year off of eBay and Poshmark, (had a baby, then a death in the family, then bought our house here in Indiana and moved here from Florida... I will say, though, I'm glad to be out of Florida! Thanks for the video! And the transparency ❤
I found i over purchased a lot of items i don't use and your information is very helpful for a beginner like me. I look forward to see more of your videos and all.
I have a very important question . How much profit should we be going for per item ? Or what is a lowest profit if you want to invest in more listings? Some items i get 10$ profit but some i get anywhere from 3$ to 5$ . Im i wasting time on smaller profits?
I love this because we both sell very similar categories. Only thing i didnt really know about were the hair styling products. I wonder how you find boxes to ship bats though? Seems a bit annoying to ship. The tip about resetting wifi routers is genius though, didn’t know about that. Thanks!
I cant stand people saying your the next hairy tornado.... yes you do remind me of the original hairy tornado. Back when he was a true reseller and actually had things to talk about that us fellow resellers can relate to. Now hes just a content creator and whatnot flipper.... dont change when you get big bro! You extremely informative and helpful even for us long time resellers!
Since you use your garage as your storage area, do you just park your cars in driveway. What do you do when it snows? That would suck parking in the driveway when it snows but my inventory is taking over my house. I have a 3 car garage but I live in Las Vegas where it gets extremely hot. I worry about what the heat would do to my inventory. Any suggestions? I hope you feel better.
Your transparency, energy, and attitude towards adverse situations is amazing. You’re teaching me to be a better seller and a better man thank you
Agreed! He’s the real deal!!
He seems to not only be good at what he does. But he seems to be a quality person, which is rather refreshing.

found a massager that goes for around 100$ the other day for $10, hasnt sold yet though
I have 2 people watching a pair of my personal kate spade eyewear, just listed few days ago
You are awesome! Thank you for taking time to make this video.
How can you be sure that the sunglasses are not knock offs?
Amazing content, thanks a lot I'm new to reselling and this is one of the best by far 😊
I would love to see a video of how you test the electronics
Especially the remotes!
Came to say the same thing!
Would also love to see how you test remotes and electronics❤

Hello. Love these videos. Thank you for taking time to show us these items. How do you test the remote controls?
Part 2 please! I'm a college student and I'm going to try and start selling to pay off school. Your videos have been super helpful, I took notes.
Can you do a shipping video? Some of your items are really big or oddly shaped. I’m curious how you package them.
How can I tell if the remote works without the TV it goes with?
A person really selling it and doing it not just talking about it! Good video dude!

Do you test the remotes before you sell them and how would you do this?

Hi. Am a new seller. Can you share what types of jeans sell well?
I have that Nikon Coolpix for listing photos because I don't like using my phone because of arthritis. It's a really good camera and molded so that I can take photos one handed if needed. Got my first VeRo today. Dish Network Hopper dvr. Alot of them listed and sold. Why would I get a vero?
What did the Vero say?Did you use your own pictures?
@@WellnessWizdom violating the intellectual property rights of a rights owner. Used my own photos.
Thank you very much for your content. I have learned a lot, and more importantly, you've given me confidence to list more items. Thanks again.
Jake, how do you test the cameras?
Do you put these up for auction or set the price?
That was about as good an ROI as I've ever recieved from watching 32 minutes on RUclips. Thanks, Super-Positive, Ebay Seller Guy!
This is great. Love the practical advice and tips. So much is unintuitive. Thanks for sharing this. Following now.
I look for and sell all of those 22 products but learned a lot about the brands I pass on for golf clubs and curling irons. Great video!
Outstanding video Jake. Please keep them coming with part 2,3,4 etc. I pray that you are getting better. Take care and keep up the great work:)
Do u carry around batteries to make sure the remotes work? Or how do u know? DO U send the battery?
Excellent videos and advice. Thanks for your contributions to the community! Yes, a part 2 would be fun.
You literally just opened my eyes to hard goods... Thank you!

I found i over purchased a lot of items i don't use and your information is very helpful for a beginner like me. I look forward to see more of your videos and all.

Hope you’re feeling better. I loved this video. Very helpful and straightforward. Thank you!
What program are you using that keeps track of your purchase price and sale price. Do you print it out at end of year for tax purposes?
What are good items to list for absolute beginners? I'm thinking CDs, cellphone cases, books. Your advice?
Thank you for sharing your experiences and expertise. It is greatly appreciated. Keep grinding.
