Anyone who thinks guys like @technsports are just lucky, or had some kind of fast track to success, needs to follow that routine. Success is often HARD earned.
You should have 1 million views on this! That was epic!! I’ve been an eBay seller since 2002 and there’s no way I could EVER do that! So proud of you!! 😘
So inspiring! I’ve let my business fall thru the cracks because I got a full time 9-5 job again. But watching you do this makes me want to get up early and take advantage of every second of the day! You go girl!🎉
What I don't understand is how anyone can list items that fast... You gotta figure with cleaning, lint rolling, taking pictures, finding the comps to use as a template, and listing. Even if it was only 5 minutes per item, which seams impossible. That's 10 hours to do 120 listings... Then packing with labels on another 120? Even if it's the same type of item (like pants). Could maybe get through 1 a minute, if you count having to get to item from inventory. That's 2 more hours. If you're sleeping 8 hours a night, that only leaves 4 hours left. Which would almost be filled with eating, showering, getting dressed, and traveling to source spots. Not to mention having to get groceries, pick up kids, or even more time consuming, responding to buyer messages. There's no way someone is doing all that every day, once you include having to go source 120 more items too lol....(No way in my mind anyway) I sell miscellaneous items, so packaging and listing takes more time obviously. But I did 6 figures in 2023, after only starting ebay August 2022. So I'm obviously still pretty new, and always trying to learn new things to make my business more efficient and successful. I list a minimum of 5 items a day(everyday since I started), up to about 20 tops. Probably average about 10. That mixed with everything else I stated above, takes me working about 60-80+ hours a week.... I'm hoping there's some trick I'm missing out on that someone could explain to me please. Because the math ain't mathing for me. Thank you for any info 😊
The math I can give you is rough math but it took me about a minute to photo and 30-40 seconds to list an item. I sell similar off my own listings so a majority of the information is already filled out and I just update the little information that needs updated. And he didn’t get 8 hours of sleep. He averaged 3-4 hours.
Should only take you 1 minute to photograph and list one item. If you are familiar with the catagory you are listing even if you aren’t familiar with the item less then 3 mins. Practice get faster.
It looks like they do both parts simultaneously, one uploads photos the other lists or a blend of that, which would cut your personal time in half if you have an equivalent partner. So your 60 to 80 hours solo would be almost cut in half. Templates cut listing time a lot as well. They're a niche so the listing is probably 70% already filled out. You're right, doing this alone at this volume is physically impossible unless you only sell smalls or have a teammate. Imagine having a clone working as hard as you do, it possible. My husband saw all the work it actually takes and he was like heck no (in a much more adamant no way in the world, never not ever). I hope you make millions one day, I bet it feels great.
Thanks, Nick, for validating my opinion as well. Carrie, I respect you IMMENSELY! Great idea for a video (I realize it’s 8 months old.. I just never watched it) and great way to get on The Master’s radar (and I know you were on it already, I’m sure). I respect him as well, just can’t watch him, just rubs me the wrong way. Anyway, ever since Chris Lin (who I have the utmost respect for) years ago, he stated unequivocally that it should only take a minute to do a listing, start to finish. It’s been a major eye-roll for me ever since, when I hear my fellow professionals concurring. It’s unclear when exactly folks consider “starting the stopwatch” or what have you, BUT there’s definitely something missing from the equation - a major disconnect- and I’m not so much questioning those claims that they CAN do a “listing” that quickly.. but I AM saying that there’s just something - or some THINGS “missing” in the equation. What I will point out is the few times I’ve looked at peoples listings who claim the minute, there’s a lot left out (that we add in) and maybe it’s a fault and maybe we have convinced ourselves that it’s necessary when maybe it isn’t and we’re just wasting time and all you other guys are right.. if we could list double, triple, quadruple what we currently list, we’d be living in a whole lot nicer place and driving a whole lot, nicer car and enjoying life a whole lot better. My biggest issue with how listings get done quicker by others, is what’s become for the apparel resellers a “measurements standard” as in how clothing resellers do the measurements. I just cannot get on board, or wrap my head around, the whole, “taking pictures of a tape measure or a ruler or worse, Tech’s “Reseller Ruler” held up against or resting on some garment in a photo.. and THAT’s supposed to suffice?? And as I said, maybe we’re overdoing it.. maybe we’re overdoing it… maybe we need to start finding where we could take all these shortcuts to others seem to consider SOP. Oh, and perhaps I shouldn’t even talk because I don’t do the actual listing. I do the procuring my wife does all the listings at the Photo Booth & laptop/ phone. Open to any and all suggestions.. observations.. bring it on.
Reselling as a sole income is a hustle this video set a good example for those interested in reselling, though time put in and profits may vary, it's a grind all day every single day vs a good paying clock in clock out 8hr a day career with an exact prediction of future income. The bonus about reselling is the sky is the limit.
I think the problem is the sourcing, sure you can pull 50 a day out of the outlet bins, but you can't pull 60 or 70 a day out of the same 10+/- thrift stores that you went to, not day in and day out. You have to rotate to other stores that are further away and probably only hit the same store 2 times a week or you will end up with only 1 to 4 items per store. They just don't get enough quality inventory every day. Maybe you could make the drive to our other outlet in the city, but it would already be hit hard by the time you got there an hour after opening.
Tech also had several big flea markets throughout the week. Whereas, I only have one on Sundays that’s small. Maybe it can’t be a carbon copy of his routine, but it can still work with determination and problem solving.
Your body and brain aren't used to a wake-up at that crazy hour. It definitely affects how fast you can process and move. You did amazing! I would have been fighting sleep BAD and unable to get even 70 listings. I'd love to see hwo you speed demon your way in creating a listing once you have the images!
seeing all this hard work, I hope buyers appreciate the amount of effort and time put into bringing quality affordable items to them and not make low ball offers. I sometimes get offers of 80% off of the asking price. Great job
Not to mention keeping up with your house like shores and groceries etc. I don't know how this would be possible without someone helping. I can't imagine the burn out but I truly appreciate those who can and does motivate me to at least a fraction of that.
This is super impressive, we do 20 a day and are very lax with the goal setting. My store does similar volume but I have about a thousand more items in stock than you guys and sell about 30 less a month. This is the second or third time I've watched this video, I think I need to learn my spread better on margin on common items if I ever wanted to scale to this extent. The problem is that the thrifts near me price jeans around $15 and they are MID. Another thing to note is that tech was not only in one category, I can't imagine finding this many jeans only in one day!
I feel exhausted watching this, you seem so tired and I’m not even halfway through the video yet 😂 It does look like it would be a really productive schedule though. Looking forward to see the end and possibly trying this myself soon. Brilliant video Carrie 👏🏼
This is massively inspiring to me! I am relatively new to reselling still and while I don't know that I can do this type of challenge with 2 kids, full time job, and a new puppy - I think there is still value in doing a "50%" challenge or "25%" challenge. So I'm going to stop making excuses and try it sometime! I find it incredible how the less time we have, sometimes the more value we squeeze into that time and then with too much time, we sometimes waste it! Look forward to seeing more vids!
I was confused a minute when at around 6Pm you said to look at the sunrise! I thought you had been going all night. I don't know how tech had a schedule like that, especially as a single parent. I couldn't get that many up in a day, especially in addition to sourcing! Congrats!
Congrats on completing the Technsports challenge. You did extremely well and I do look forward to seeing the video tomorrow. You are the female version of Technsports. WTG!
I use to have somewhat of that routine...working full time nights has changed the way I can do my sourcing and listings which put me behind but I've fought to find ways to make it work and trying to source on the way to work,do online sourcing durning breaks and yes even taking my pics on my lunch break....lol....hustling isn't easy but ya gotta do what ya gotta do to make it! Love the videos
Now I know why I like you guys so much. I would be a Tech fan also. I get tired just thinking about what he did in life but its paid off for him. Watching you made me tired and by day I am a Landscaper ebay at night. Once again as mentioned in my last comment you have earned what your doing as all your hard work and fast listing/typing skills have paid off for both of you. Much respect by the way your RUclips skills are right on par also. Again Much Respect. :)
Good for you for doing this challenge but TBH it sounds awful. Nothing would give me faster burnout lol your a trooper. I remember years ago when tech was only on instagram asking him how hard it was to list that many every day. He told me listing wasn’t hard, the hard part was finding that many items every day.
Here from the group, I watched your podcast with Tech on pre-release, so inspired! Also I think you're making really great content, it's really digestible has a great flow and I'm excited to see your channel grow. Respect 🤙🏽
Carrie you are a beast! I started watching your other videos and now I am hooked. You are very inspiring to me. I have doing eBay longer than you but still not at the level you are at. I know I will be there one day. Can you do a video one day of how you do your markdown on items that are older and not moving? Keep the videos coming! Congrats on your succes!!!
Way to hang in there!! You did great!! Curious if that’s an estimated $1575 profit AFTER you paid $657.75 cost & additional fees (shipping & eBay) ??? Next I have to figure out the major difference in your inventory system vs tech.
Thanks! Yea, that would be after fees, cogs, everything 😊 there are some big differences between mine and tech’s inventory system. I’m planning on doing a “behind the scenes” chat with Kyle to talk about the challenge and other things we’ve learned.
Do you have a video about your inventory set up- how you started it, package items, is it your set up or a combination of things? Also do you only sell men’s or men’s and women’s? I’d really like to get out of the breakables as items. Thank you 😊
This is the first video that I've come across from you, it was great! I'm only PT and work FT outside the home. Can't imagine doing 120 listing, shipping and sourcing!
Your grind means so much more because you are a mom! Moms should get credit for all they are able to do because you juggle your business and you handle all the mom stuff. And the mom stuff is unpaid. It’s sacrifice. It’s invaluable!
I watch Technsports so came over to see this! Fantastic job!!!! Some of my observations, looks like you deal with jeans primarily so to find 120 each day of only that would seem impossible versus varies items like he does shirts jerseys etc. Also noticed your cat among inventory has that not caused issues in the past? I'm allergic to cats and wouldn't order from you😂 Also from what I saw you have a Dodge just like me! Awesome video and look forward to discovering more of your content! God bless!!!!🎉
So I love (yes love) running marathons and ultra marathons. Or love finishing them anyway lol. THIS is like an ultra ULTRA marathon! What a task. Tech ran ultra ultra marathons everyday for years 😆 That’s how great he is. Great job Carrie and a great watch. Best idea for a RUclips video that I’ve seen for resellers like us 👏🏽🙌🏽
I just found you a few weeks ago and have really been enjoying your content! You did amazing on this challenge! It just shows- if you & Tech can do it, Anyone can do it!! Mind over matter!😊
Hi Carrie, Great video! I watched your video with Tech and it was very helpful and motivating. Question: it looks like you were mailing everything in a plain bag which I think means everything went ground advantage. I know a lot of jeans are over a pound and I have always found it less expensive to ship priority flat rate envelopes. Am I looking at shipping options wrong? Thanks for any help you can give and thanks for the awesome video!
So hitting all the goodwill and bins twice. Do you think their would be another 120 items tommorrow, and the next day?. Seems like sourcing would be a major hurdle
Well I hit half the stores in this challenge and was only picking up jeans/pants. If I picked up other clothing items too, then yes I can see doing 120 items every day.
First time watching your videos....do you ever share your platform store names or links? Would love to see what kind of things you are selling to make so many sale in one day?
Definitely have to go where the inventory is! I know a lady who has to make a day trip drive from middle of nowhere Wyoming. She stays a few days in Colorado to source and then heads back home.
I think this is also commendable because you stuck to pretty much only jeans. If he’s casting a wider net of shirts and hats and jackets, maybe it didn’t take him as much time to source and picture the items. Especially with hats, it’s a much quicker process to take pictures of them. Well done!
Cat's hate their food and water next to their cat box. I did that many years ago and thought to myself how would I like to eat where I poo and peed LOL! Great job on the jean find!
Seems like a lot of hard work. We don't have anything remotely similar to your Goodwill "bins" here, so I don't think that kind of thing is possible - at least as far as sourcing like that goes.
Congratulations! Watching you kill that challenge was very inspiring, not sure I would have the stamina to complete that sourcing marathon, let alone the listing and shipping portion. Curious what your process you use to upload your photos from the phone to your PC. Mine always seems to take for ever.
Wow incredible. I'm thinking should I be happy or sad no way my small town would support finding 120.items in a month. Also with no car would have 2 days to do enough sourcing each week and only one bins plus a 2 hour drive each day but truly I would love to work up to it. Get some rest you earned it.
This was a great video to watch! Jealous of your goodwill bins, we don’t have anything like it here in Australia. I wonder what bedtime is to be able to get up that early on a regular basis?
Absolutely amazing. You look exhausted though. I'll bet you can increase 1 more per day /week/month (you choose)without a problem. There are 2 of you to split the work. Increase at your own pass. Very inspiring!
It would be great to both being doing this challenge. I could do pictures while she’s listing, we could both be doing packages and sourcing at the same time. Could likely turn this into an 8 hour day if we wanted.
You did an amazing job! But honestly, seems like going at this pace takes the enjoyment out of reselling. But I guess we’re all looking for different things.
I wish we had a goodwill or something similar here in the UK.. I've just explored your channel too and watched some of your videos. Well done and keep going! 👏 May success find you everyday guys! Just a quick question.. Do you specialise just in jeans?
Man, listing 120 is one thing, listing 120 jeans is something else. Great work!
Anyone who thinks guys like @technsports are just lucky, or had some kind of fast track to success, needs to follow that routine. Success is often HARD earned.
Hard work and luck
No fast track to success. Hard work
@@MrJacker751winning the lottery is a fast track
Hard work.. luck of location. Luck of free time. Luck of location and luck of location.
Great Content! Thank you! 120 items! I think I am doing good listing 10!
With all that shopping you definitely hit your 10 mile goal!
To be fair that other seller evolved into that routine and you jumped right into it that's a huge difference
A very important point that should be highlighted.
I might try 5 items a day. I am super slow.
Tech is the Michael JORDAN of reselling. Mindset, hard work and determination.
He’s the GOAT

I was confused a minute when at around 6Pm you said to look at the sunrise! I thought you had been going all night. I don't know how tech had a schedule like that, especially as a single parent. I couldn't get that many up in a day, especially in addition to sourcing! Congrats!
I’m probably the most incompetent ebay resellers since it probably takes me 3 months to accomplish everything techsport do in one day. Lol
I’ve done a hundred listings in a day twice. Both times I felt like crap the next day.
I definitely had to recover and take it slow the next day lol I lost a couple pounds and walked away with a cold sore the next day 😂
To think Tech does it everyday. Maybe I can only do it once a week.
Crazy impressive you go girl. I’m working 9 hours 6 days a week doing 15 per day. You got me thinking. Appreciate it
This felt like a reseller triathlon lol 😂. Great work! You and tech are inspiring
It felt like a triathalon!

Way to Go🎉 you did totally awesome! What a great outlook and attitude! Thanks for sharing. 💕
Thank you for watching!
OMG. The treadmill! 😂
Inspiring stuff. Great work. Tech is truly a legend.
Your grind means so much more because you are a mom! Moms should get credit for all they are able to do because you juggle your business and you handle all the mom stuff. And the mom stuff is unpaid. It’s sacrifice. It’s invaluable!
This was a great watch! Well done for completing it. The guy is a machine 😂
You’re just adorable!😍 Thank you for making this look fun and doable! Love watching your videos!
BEST VIDEO I'VE SEEN about Ebay!!! GREAT job CONGRATS🎉 SO Inspiring!! THANK YOU🙏🏻
❤️❤️❤️ so glad you enjoyed it!!
You are so brave and strong! My attention span could never. The laugh after his "why are you going so slow?" I feel that girl!
You could see the wind being taken out of me at the moment 😂
So glad Tech had you on, now subscribed and ready to learn even more 🤑
Welcome!
First time visitor here. Liked and subscribed. Great video!!!
Welcome!
Best idea for a RUclips video that I’ve seen for resellers like us 👏🏽🙌🏽
It really is like a marathon! Thank you for watching 😊
Tech is built different
I just found you a few weeks ago and have really been enjoying your content! You did amazing on this challenge! It just shows- if you & Tech can do it, Anyone can do it!! Mind over matter!😊
You get it 💪
How cheap are your Goodwills? The ones here in Los Angeles charge around 10-15 per pair of jeans.
They vary from as low as $6 to up to $22. Each Goodwill employee here is left to their own discretion with the pricing lol
Hi Carrie,
Great video!
Thank you! It may depend on your location. It’s cheaper for us to do ground advantage vs priority flat rate.
Welcome! I’m currently not sharing my ebay store name but I do have plans to share soon.
Dayyyammm that was crazy!! So no stock photos or dressing manekin for listings. Lol
It's like gaming. Tech is pro status. You did super well!
Wowzers! I kicked some seriously butt today after watching your video this morning at 3:30 am! Lol! Thanks for the inspiration! Great video! :)
Awesome 🔥
I’m realizing location is everything When I thrift, I go an hour sometimes two hours away from where I live and get great items
Definitely have to go where the inventory is! I know a lady who has to make a day trip drive from middle of nowhere Wyoming. She stays a few days in Colorado to source and then heads back home.
Beyond impressive... Great job❤❤❤
Wow, wow, wow! I was already a fan and now you've hit elite status. Thanks so much for sharing this. Massive inspo!!! 🙌❤️
Awesome job Carrie! So fun to watch! Doesn’t it make you wonder how he did it and he doesn’t drink coffee?
🤯 insanity!
Oh my! I couldn't keep up that pace.
I don’t think I can do it daily like him 😵💫
I think this is also commendable because you stuck to pretty much only jeans. If he’s casting a wider net of shirts and hats and jackets, maybe it didn’t take him as much time to source and picture the items. Especially with hats, it’s a much quicker process to take pictures of them. Well done!
Thank you!
We can't wait to see your hubby's version 🎉
I think I missed the part where you photographed, folded, washed (lol jk), and created listings for 120 items in 2hrs🤔
Cat's hate their food and water next to their cat box. I did that many years ago and thought to myself how would I like to eat where I poo and peed LOL! Great job on the jean find!
wowza. great work. you have my respect.
I just use a cable to connect the phone to the computer and it’s pretty seamless!
Wowww you’re a champ and soooo inspiring, Carrie!! What an amazing video, who would dare to attempt Tech’s routine?? Great work! 🎉❤
Thanks so much!!
Wow… What a Grind .. The hustle is REAL
Oooft!!:What a challenge and well done getting it done!!
Bet you slept well that night!!
Regards, Mary x 😁😁😁
I did! lol thanks for watching 😄
4am? Is the matrix booted up and running at 4am?😂You did great!! I am inspired 🙂
Wow incredible. I'm thinking should I be happy or sad no way my small town would support finding 120.items in a month. Also with no car would have 2 days to do enough sourcing each week and only one bins plus a 2 hour drive each day but truly I would love to work up to it. Get some rest you earned it.
Let's goooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a great video to watch! Jealous of your goodwill bins, we don’t have anything like it here in Australia.
I wonder what bedtime is to be able to get up that early on a regular basis?
For me personally, I’d have to be asleep by 9pm every night 😵💫
Hey Carrie, could you do a video on how you list so quickly? New to your channel & enjoy your content. Thanks ❤
Absolutely amazing. You look exhausted though. I'll bet you can increase 1 more per day /week/month (you choose)without a problem. There are 2 of you to split the work. Increase at your own pass. Very inspiring!
Pace,sorry.
It would be great to both being doing this challenge. I could do pictures while she’s listing, we could both be doing packages and sourcing at the same time.
Could likely turn this into an 8 hour day if we wanted.
After the challenge, we decided to increase from 30/day to 35/day. Way more manageable! Lol
Thank you! Yea we specialize in jeans/pants just because that’s the niche I chose to study 😊
Wow that was work ! Great job ! Great results !
Great video!!! This gives me even more respect for Tech and showed me that I’m capable of so much more than I do. It’s inspiring! You did awesome!!
Same here! We have so much potential!
Awesome job!
I just found your channel 😊 wohooo!! Love your content and im ready to follow your journey
Welcome!
Ebay is a grind for sure my day is so lazy to that type of day
You don't include measurements in your listing? I'm curious how many returns you get a year.
We get measurements, it’s just hard to tell in the video.
