@@CruJones81 the word scammer is being used so wrong here. He is a business man. In order to have his business thrive he has to talk peoples goods down to get a good price. He wasn't sure about the stitching. And was very honest about not being sure. He didn't want to take a risk in case they were fake. Not that he could'n resell them as "real" jackets and still make the money on them. So that shows his honesty. Which I personally respect. But looking up goods like that online is hard. I have a B.C. If I were sole owner of the business, I would have the latitude to do so, but the company policy of the chain was to politely refuse. I have thrown people out for dis-respecting other customers blatantly and rudely, but all we were supposed to do when an item was fake, or we knew it was a scam was to politely refuse to complete a transaction, advising them to bring us something else and we'd take a look at it. Its always so impressive the knowledge you guys have on the items, i can only imagine the years of close calls and studying of the fakes when the occasional one does slip through to develop these skills
Pawn Shop dealers have seen it all. It is really hard to get past them.
Well, once a scammer, always a scammer. The shops DO swap stories and details on known people as well, so her $10 I bought it downtown from a knock-off mall and hope to get $50 for it at a pawn shop might work occasionally, but he knows in this case that 100% of whatever she hands him is going to be fake. So the song and dance starts :)
I bet they still sell it as real if one slips through... No way pawn shop owners would take a hit on something expensive like that.

Oh by the way patience, what do you think this industry is? He is in his own right a criminal. I'm in my 40s I've never been to a pawn shop in my entire life and cannot see the reason or need that I would. It is a place for desperation and criminal activity. He opened a business to hopefully catch people who are selling shit because of hard times for because they don't realize what it's worth or the best case scenario they realize what it's worth and he and they make a few dollars, but it's still someone in a moment of desperation.
@@TheCompdept whats the difference between him and if someone buys something that someone throws on facebook marketplace and undervalues it?
People could sell it on their own, but they take it to a pawn shop. They have a choice.
@@meeknuggets4860 the difference is a pawn shop plays on people's desperation while simultaneously providing them the money they probably need for drugs creating more and more problems in this world by the second. And if you are referencing what I had written previously then you already know that this person who owns the pawn shop offers little to nothing to society whatsoever. That would be the difference. The difference is an unnecessary middleman. Look I can't stop the world from working in ways that are adverse to its intentions that that doesn't make me incorrect. So yeah mostly addicts use pawn shops.
i love how you educate and give details as to why you aren’t taking a certain item or as to why you believe it’s fake or questionable. most of these shop owners and even employees don’t care at all to even give you a reason why they won’t take your item legit or not so this was really great to watch and I learned a lot abt the details and stitching from these major companies

running a pawn shop has to be so depressing. literally your whole work is to deal with people that are down on their luck whether good intentions or not
