yeah i agree with the "control" part. i can't control when something sells day to day, but i can control what i can post. i can largely control traffic/hits by listing more and i also know from a decade of history of a correlated ratio of sales vs traffic. whether that sells evenly day after day vs 3 days of zero and then 1 day of 5000 , over several weeks and longer the correlated ratio is pretty darn reliable . through experience and history, you have to believe in the process and the numbers or you won't have any confidence buying items quickly or in bulk
Chris, I hope you discuss sales CAPS, where Ebay won't allow higher sales, no matter how many listings you add. Yes, Ebay does impose CAPS and no matter what you do, you might not be able to surpass a certain threshold.
We started off finding items around the house and got off to over 100 items on eBay..mostly mens clothes , hats and shoes , and books .....we have about 7 thrift stores and or flea markets with a few minutes of each other.....now were starting to aim for now Quality rather than how many listed
Oh, ten items a day listing. We list five to eight a day, guess that's why Ebay doesn't show all our items in Search. Will try ten good items daily from today 16th April and see what happens. Man that is a lot of inventory, I wouldn't be able to sleep if those don't sell, especially in the global economy arena. Thank you for the information.
I list 2 items a day currently because that’s about what I currently sell per day. If I start selling 5 a day on average I would sell 5 day. 10 a day is a lot if you aren’t selling 10 a day.
One of the problems I am running into is taking pictures with the new iPhone. I sell a lot of vintage clothing so it is faded. Some more than other. But the new iPhone has an automatic setting that “maximizes” color and makes it look brighter than it actually is. I haven’t been able to find a way to change the setting either
I have a samsung that does that too. Not sure with iphones, but my Galaxy has the standard photo mode, and pro mode. Pro mode allows you to adjust more specific settings, and it helps me take very accurate photos. Small learning curve but worth learning.
I feel like a one yr old taking its firsts steps, learning a new language 😂. My sister and I are listing 10 a day now. Focused on good items. But arent gaining traction yet. Not giving up. Ugh not enough to cover our own bills yet ..... do you still recommend free returns? Because I wouldnt be able to afford it IF it should happen. Makes me nervous. But ill try it if the answer is still yes.
Are we actually required to have free returns to be a top rated seller? Because I don't ever do free returns. I was a top rated seller until I worked a job working 7/12s on a construction site and unlisted all of my items. And even then I did not do free returns and I was still top rated. Has this changed? I'm just starting to list again and get my eBay store going again so I definitely need to know this. I guess I will do some research on it.
Free Returns is not a requirement for "Top Rated" but we also don't look like we get the 10% unless we are "Top Rated Plus"... after reaching Top Rated level then we must offer same day or 1 day handling times and FREE RETURNS to receive the 10% seller fee discount. It looks like the only benefit of being a Top Rated seller that doesn't meet the criteria for Top Rated Plus is your listings are supposed to receive "enhanced visibility in search results" and "exclusive seller protections" although these are not listed. Only the Top Rated Plus sellers get the gold seal for the qualifying listings, not the Top Rated only sellers/listings.
Dollar Tree isn't going out of business. They just bought the entire 99 cent store chain, at least in California, and turned all their locations into Dollar Tree stores.- massively expanding their number of locations and cornering the market with only 5 deg and Family Dollar and Dyso left to compete with (in southern California)
No way man. It takes me three hours to put up 15 listings! So I’m not sure where you’re getting 10 minutes for each listing unless you’re like a robot from the matrix that does things at super speed.😂
Thanks for the product knowledge 🤑
Hello Chris thanks for all you do I really appreciate you and your videos.
You're the absolute GOAT!!

anybody: lets play hide and seek
chris: lets shoot a video
You are so right about selling quantity, it’s the one thing I teach people everybody wants to make $100 an item. You’ll be sitting on listing forever.
I would like longer videos please
Very valuable info here. Thanks
Awesome video but it's hard to find where to purchase and come up with $$
Chris, you are so awesome 🔥🔥🔥 thank you so much for all you do!! Grateful for you!! 🙏🙏

Great tips thank you!!
Great video. You've built an amazing business. 😊
You are god giving Chris
6:44 what is that yard stick he is using????
Thanks!
How do I know where the keywords go? In the title it in the description? How do I monitor how my keywords are working?
I am getting views but no sales yet. Just now selling on Ebay.
For me, when my items get views but aren’t selling that’s my sign that my item is priced too high.
“What were you doing hiding back there?”😆

People still selling 2x20 bucks f/s. Crazy
Hi Chris. You said yourself 90% listings don't sellf. The rest smoke and mirrors.
As if they could never have a faulty paint job 🙄
Haha love that entry bro 😂
