    Thanks so much, I have been trying to find someone who knew about Isaiah from an LDS perspective. I am 81 years old and I first learned about the secret combinations when I was 16 and heard Dan Smoot on TV. Later moving to Provo, Utah with my husband and children, in 1966 I was able to I attend a speech in the assembly hall on Temple Square of Ezra Taft Benson's speech, Stand up for Freedom. I have been active in exposing their secret combinations ever since then, and Isaiah and the book of Mormon, all points to what we should be doing about them. Thank you for this insight from Michael Rush. Very very interesting and has validated what I have known and been thinking. Thank you..

    I just love this talk ! I agree with the skimming across the water statement!!! I keep saying that doing the basics of the gospel is like ; being out on the water in a small boat ! It’s nice , pretty, good feelings , enjoyable!!! But then when you decide to peer over the side of the boat you see the bottom of the lake and it’s beautiful, will make you want to put on a snorkel and mask and explore! To which at this point Heavenly Father adorns you with a wetsuit, air tanks and brings you on the most incredible adventure of exploring even deeper! Our Lord is just waiting for us to make the first step forward and he will teach us the mysteries 🥰

    I am subscribed to another LDS base channel and I can say that there are members out there that doesn't believe in a main Anti-Christ or a group of the 10 lost Tribes, primarily because the Brethren aren't talking about it. I've tried to even share my testimony of the Lord teaching me about there being a main Anti-Christ, to what appeared to be no avail.

    I appreciated this podcast and I've been enjoying Bro Rush's perspectives. I've been watching what's happening by elitists lately and trying to mesh it with what scripture tells us about the end times. The anti-christ persona sounds like someone who possibly is able to achieve some transhumanist state (meshing AI, robotics and biology in a human being) - that's one possible way that 1 person could achieve such power.

      @@nancid5265 I think you may be mistaken in this respect. The scriptures cited by Michael Rush clearly state that a specific individual will be labeled as an anti-Christ b/c of their beliefs and actions. I believe what church leadership has tried to teach is that anti-Christ is not any one person, place or organization - it is a belief system. Anti-Christs have existed ever since human beings existed, but this specific individual is going to be a very powerful and faith destroying force in the last days and he is labeled an anti-Christ, thus could be loosely called "The anti-Christ".

    • @lddisciplespodcast
      @lddisciplespodcast  Год назад +2

      Hi Kathryn, that's a great question! I think the idea of a rapture is more nuanced than just Christ's people being automatically whisked away prior to the tribulation. I do believe that righteous adherence to every word of God will provide protection against much trial, but I don't believe we will be exempted from having to go through this time period, including the time of the Antichrist. Indeed, one of the primary characteristics of the Antichrist that we read in the Bible is that he will oppress and even overcome many Saints. That would be an impossibility if all the Saints were taken up. I'd love to discuss alternative perspectives on the rapture if you're interested! Thanks for being with us!

    • @kathrynowens3324
      @kathrynowens3324 Год назад

      @@lddisciplespodcast I hear what you are saying. I've understood those who are "lukewarm" may have to deal with the A/C. None of us want to be on that list; "outside the boat" if you will. Those who are better get raptured just before the A/C rears his ugly head. This seems to parallel the biblical model. This is hard because people have interpreted this differently for so long. I'm definitely a pretribber. I hope I am right.

    • @rodhjelm1571
      @rodhjelm1571 Год назад +1

      @@kathrynowens3324 There is a point in the book of Revelation, in the New Testament, that the Saints are caught up with Christ and protected, but in all my reading this will come after the seven years of tribulation. The rapture is a relatively new idea that gained a lot of traction among evnagelicals and others. I just don't see that in the scriptures. I think this could be an idea that would cause many to disbelieve in the church and their dependence on God if they do rely on this.
      Truly tough times are ahead. Christians in the West have been spared much of it until now, while many in some locations within the Middle East have been severely persecuted and killed for their belief. This may become much more relevant to us faster than we believe.
      The only way we survive will be to develop the ability of communication with the Holy Ghost in our prayers and reflection with God. Even then everyone will not be spared, but we can have faith that we will enter paradise if we do die. This may seem dire, but I suspect it will be reality.
