I love the Pickerings! I learn so much from their Come Follow Me Lessons every week and have never heard any anti-LDS content from them. Milton Musser on July 24, 1896: “… My brother, Noah Packard, says that he heard the Prophet Joseph say that the next great (U.S. civil) war after the war of the rebellion (the Civil War of the 1860′s between the North and the South) would commence in a little town now called Chicago but at that time it would have grown to be a very large city. And another brother told me that the Prophet said that the cause of the next great trouble of the United States would be the depreciation of the currency of the United States. I believe I have given you all the facts in as short and concise manner as possible.”
I've watched this twice now! I love it and find so much to learn from it! I want to know where is the statement from Joseph Smith stating we can know the time? I have some friends who could benefit from this if they understood we have the right to search and know. Can you share that? Thank you! ❤️

Great podcast! Something to consider. The Samaritan Woman was of the house of Ephriam. Consider the symbolism of that event with that in mind.

Thank you for this presentation. I believe that all seven seals have been opened already with the seventh having been opened in 2000. I believe that we are not looking at the signs. The half hour of silence I believe started on 06 April 2000 with the dedication of the Palmyra Temple. All of these seals I also believe are cumulative and that each of these seals was opened by our Saviour during the time that the seal represents. The half hour of silence would extend for about 20.84 years or so. If my belief is correct, then the half hour of silence in Heaven would have ended in 2021 and I believe that the presidency of Donald Trump was and his failure to be re-elected was our Saviour letting us know that time is running out, as President Nelson has clearly told us. I also believe that we have no clue as to what is coming down the line in the very near future. I believe that this year - 2023 - is when we will see our Lord performing some of His greatest works and the final countdown will begin.
Thanks Michael! There are definitely different ways to interpret prophecy, and I believe there's merit and truth in most all of them. Thank you for sharing this alternate perspective!
The last comment got a little long ... but I found this interesting. If you take the leadership of ancient Israel from the time of their judges and match that up against Utah when it was a territory, and then look at the time of the kings and match that up against the governors you will find that there are only two terms for the governors left to seat before the time of destruction should arrive. That time period ends at 2032. Not coincidental I think, and oddly enough matches up nicely with the Book of Mormon time line . Just saying ....

If you check out Genesis 9 in the JST the 🌈 represents the covenant God made with Both Enoch and Noah that when the Children of Israel would begin to look up ( baptism of 🔥) then He would send down Zion again to the earth 🌎.
So many people miss what they covenant of the rainbow from the JST. It is amazing

I was just thinking that just like a bridegroom in Jewish culture will build a house and present it to his father for approval during his betrothal, so does Jesus with us. Jesus has been building His kingdom on earth and will claim his bride once it is completed and approved.

I wonder if the timing of the fulfillment of Samuel’s 5 year prophecy- when all the believers were going to be killed if it wasn’t fulfilled by a certain day & the signs finally came the night before - if that last minute saving of the people fit into the cycle of Passover & the angel of death passing by …. ?
I think we can safely assume that this is a parallel to what we will again experience.

I dont know if that has been established. Someone else said they were members. I dont know if they are active
They are dedicated disciples in the Church. Rhonda is a fantastic seminary teacher!

Because there is a lot of confusion above in the comment section and the Pickering's commented but gave a vague answer that kind of sounds like they were once members but no longer subscribe to that church anymore.

Someone was asking if they are both members of the church. (Personally, if he wanted to follow what Joseph Smith said then I would say yes they are full one hundred percent baptized, confirmed, temple endowed members. What do you say?
It is really good but there are too many advertisements. It's so annoying. I will not subscribe for this reason.

It's my understanding the Pickerings are no longer members of the church. They are certainly knowledgeable in the scriptures, however, there is a shadow cast on them due to their giving an illusion they are members of the LDS church. A friend of mine emailed them to clarify and they refused to answer the question.
I find such joy and peace in knowing that truth can be found abundantly from all sorts of sources, and that it is discovered by examining the "fruit" of one's life. Having met the Pickerings and spoken with them extensively, I know them to be the best sort of people, and dedicated disciples of Jesus Christ. Whether or not they are members of the Church is not a concern to me because of the Spirit I feel when conversing with them, and the evidence that their lives are touched by Christ.
Thank goodness we don't have a monopoly on light! The Lord uses all kinds of instruments to serve His purposes.
@@lddisciplespodcast I agree with what you've said.. the problem I have is that they are not forthright about their self reduction from the LDS church. They really should be honest about it. Shame? I don't know why.

@@misfyresalot sometimes Our Church excommunicates anyone that speaks up about what the Lord is teaching them and as members of The Church we then judge them unrighteously because of this. The Church in Lehis day was wicked and Lehi was warned to flee into the wilderness. THE Church in Jesus day was wicked too and killed him...
