That rabbi, when asked about the coming of Messiah, said they tend to believe Messiah will be political in nature, establishing jewish sovereignty in the middle east. President Nelson told us that we will see Father pour out incredible miracles between now and the return of His Beloved Son and this podcast proves that He is looking out for His children that will abide by His counsel by listening to and obeying His words. We also have to remember that no matter how bad things get and the punishment we are forced to endure, Satan can't keep us from returning home to again live with Father and Mother for eternity if this is our wish.
I have waited for so long to hear someone mention the 7!years of preparation. My husband and I got so excited that not only did you mention it but you even understood to mark it perfectly. Father told me 7 years of preparation then 7 years of tribulation. I saw the first red baby heifer born and marked it in my journal on September 10, 2018. And I have a picture of it. This was the first red Heifer born in 2000 years. Also did you notice that the silence of heaven was marked exactly by 100 temples. Not 99 nor 101. Many of us that understood that 100 temples would make the silence of heaven waited for COVID to end as we saw this happen. At the time Lds Chronological order of temples had 168 dedicated temples. 68 were built and then president Hinkley says we have began a new millennium. That first year time speeds up and he hastens his work building 32 temples in one year. It took over 120 years to build those first 68 temples that the church now owns. But when the silence of heaven begins and the new millennium opens we build that 32 in one year. Countdown begins for the 20.83 years which will ends September 2021. 100 temples marked the silence of heaven. Fun fact to share. Many people keep referring to 100 temple Boston Mass. so they are hearing him but not understanding that message. I just shared your pod cast with my entire group! They think I have so much wisdom because I was given a blessing that I have the wisdom Of Solomon and I have a very special and rare gift. But you have just shown all Of us that you have great wisdom. I am Not a Bible scholar. I hear father and I learn like Joseph Smith said that is better than any other way to learn. I teach people now how to obtain this gift for father is pouring it out among those that have desired it. Fathers teaches me simple and almost childlike. Bible scholars amaze me. After listening to another of your podcasts I bought your Daniel's Timeline book hoping to be able to write down dates. Again I was faced with layers of explanations which lose me along the way. I would have bought the Timelinechart but you were out of the one I wanted. What Id like to see, since you want to share your discoveries, is a spread sheet of chronological calendar dates, with their feast days and upcoming events listed as you currently understand them. Then I think it would be easier to follow the explanations. Do you have such a spreadsheet? Id'd be so grateful.

And another brother told me that the Prophet said that the cause of the next great trouble of the United States would be the depreciation of the currency of the United States. I actually think the Book of Mormon does show a compelling "timeline" of sorts, although perhaps not as direct as some of this discussion! Perhaps we will have another conversation about it.
@@Veevslav1 If you read Jerry Grover's translation of the "Caracters" fragment, it appears Mormon took great care in the original Title Page of the Book of Mormon to outline the intersections of the various calendars and time reckonings that were used by the Nephites. The time Lehi left Jerusalem, reign of the Kings, reign of the Judges, the insurrection of the Gadianton robbers and the coming of Christ all being different time-stamps of note. It may point to there being a connection. However, even with the efforts the Pickerings have gone through to develop a timeline and establish dates of significance, I remain dubious of all timelines proposed.

When I went to study in the scriptures, however, it seemed to me that adoption occurs upon receiving the Holy Ghost, which most often comes in a Baptism of Fire experience after confirmation. I'd love to hear, if you study the topic in the scriptures, what conclusion you come to!
@@lddisciplespodcast I agree with you. A careful reading of the Book of Mormon and 3rd Nephi in particular demonstrates, unequivocally, that we are the Gentiles. It should also be noted that one of the meanings of Gentile is "mixed blood". By that token, even the Samaritans were considered Gentiles, despite being closely related to the Jews, and having the same religious practices. Many of us, graciously, have been adopted into the House of Israel, and assigned to a tribe, either by some cursory blood descent, or through the grace of God. I have known one person who's patriarchal blessing pronounced him as not being descended or adopted into a House of Israel, but named a descendent of Abraham only. In terms of prophecy, we are Gentiles whenever scripture must contrast us with the Jews or the Lost Tribes, yet we play a significant and central role according to Isaiah, as covenant bearers and supporters of the Jews. Spiritual Kings and Queens that "nurse" the natural branches of the House of Israel.
I will admit, I am highly dubious of these claims. Much of what they have found have been outlined and seen by others. Even my own father had arrived at very similar conclusions and dates, yet nothing came of it (his was 2019, and he had as much "evidence" as the Pickerings' do for their 2034 date). He abandoned his date calculating almost a decade before that, and wisely switched his study to extracting doctrine from the prophetic words of the prophets. The condition of the world has not descended far enough for any of these prophesies to be fulfilled on the time table given. It simply is too little time, and far too many pre-requisites have yet to be met. History turns on a slow wheel. A few more centuries or millennia perhaps? While I think much can be learned from the studiousness and faithfulness of Bro. and Sis. Pickering, I do not think it is wise to attempt to find a time for when the Saviour will return. That being said, I do think it is wise to try and develop a "timeline" or determine the sequence of events, and I roughly agree with their conclusions, for which I applaud them, and I have learned much today from their work. However, I am confident that the intervening years from now till 2034 as well as that year too, will come and go as they have for decades. There will be wars, there may be famines, plagues, natural disasters and trials of all sorts, but I am certain the Lord will not be returning any time soon. All who claim to have found a date, or who have templated their timeline onto current affairs have been wrong. The Pickerings are not the first, and they won't be the last. I'd like to be wrong, as nothing would be more terrifying, aw inspiring and validating than the prophesied Day of the Lord, happening in my life-time, but I'm cynical.
I appreciate learning from most of your guests. However, anything spoken must be checked against God's Word and His appointed Leaders. Follow the prophet, God will not allow His prophets to lead us astray. President Nelson has definitely given us much specific guidance from the Lord to be doing step by step right now to prepare for the Second Coming of Christ our Lord, and preparing for the preceding challenges before He comes again. Be prepared, need not fear. God's Word has the final say in any study we do. Stay on God's path and will, hold fast to His rod.
