yes, immersed is the right word, i did it on my a8h.. fantastic detail enhancement.
I know I’ve commented on this vid recently but it’s crazy how just through a video how clear the image is. Someone I talked to online who owns an 83A90J said a 4K Blu-ray can look what he imagines 8K to be like! And that it’s like looking through a window.
Beautiful video. Oh, and GO BLUE !!
Go Blue!
Just got an a90j ,love these settings ,cheers 👍
They're great and get better with time!
I used those enhanced settings on my A90J 55inch today. Pure viewing pleasure, can't contain my excitment.
So the D-nice settings really make a difference vs OOTB? I finally got my A90J a week ago, and OOTB custom mode is just stellar, but is it worth the time to put these settings in?
@@Jackp2003 It does, trust me you will thank him later when you see with your own eyes what those settings will do to enhance your viewing experience.
@@TheGodfather1022 I'll try it, thanks for hyping me up lol. If I don't like it I can just reset to default right?
@@Jackp2003 True, if you dont like it reset it and play around with the settings to your liking, after all it is your tv.
@@TheGodfather1022 Yeah. And overall the D-Nice settings make it closer to creators intent right? Do you feel now that it also looks more realistic too?
Thanks for the feedback on the settings. I am looking at the A80J 77". Do you have any bad experiences with dimming during game play?
Not usually.. The biggest dimming comes with sports games. Sony built in the software to recognize static logos and dim the screen if they're on there for a certain period of time. I don't usually have too many issues though. As soon as the screen switches it goes back to full brightness
Hey buddy great video.im wondering if you know if d nice would have 20pt cal and settings for the 85" x90k Sony by chance.thanks
Hi! It really looks so natural! I'd like to ask you a question. I like more saturated colours to play. Is the possibility there to get it on this model apart from using "live colour" option? I love the tone and vibrancy of the a8h colours or x900e colours. I look for something like that. Thank you.
This tv offers that vibrancy and with these settings. I don't even need live color anymore due to how vibrant and natural the colors are. But if you use these and want even more pop you can still activate live color or turn the color setting up higher. I'm only using 55 for my color on game mode and it's stunning
@Michigan1777 do you have the tools to measure the 100+ nits boost? I'm sure it works because D-NICE is so thorough and smart. But I was just wondering if the any normal people on the street has confirmed the extra brightness. They say 100+ minimum. That's a lot.
I notice the brightness especially in gaming. Its not huge but still noticeable. I came off the x930e so the oleds brightness isn't quite the same. 😬
Good evening Mr. Michigan thanks again I got a question which calibrated settings do I use for the Sony 55 a 90 J and the Sony 83 inch a 90 J
Enhance calibrated settings or non-enhance calibrated settings?
I used the enhanced personally. You'll get more brightness out of your panel.
For gaming I used his HDR 10 settings too, in case you need that. I also used the enhanced daytime settings for sdr
Thanks for this. Question, do I need to break in my oled to 200 hours? Or just do it out of the box?
I would break your oled in for a little bit. I was around 150 when I did mine
Awesome stuff I still haven't tried his settings for the extra brightness yet but I will here soon I just gave my tv right where I like it right now and I'm one that doesn't even need the extra brightness I'm all about depth and that's all I want but I'm sure these settings are amazing some of my buddies are using his settings and absolutely love them and I'm sure I will sspeiclaly for daytime viewing
I notice the brightness more in gaming. But all around it's a great image. Frankly jawdropping how much more depth there Is in the image. I'm happy I gave it a try
@@SpencersStuffTV thats what I keep getting told that the biggest surprised wasn't the brightness it's actually the depth I'm like damn that's unexpected whata crazier to me is just how insane the depth already is I can't imagine it being more like wow I have to say black adjust is a great feature also for more depth I will say I like an accurate image but I enjoy thw a90j punch with saturation even otb I like having a setting like 1 of my custom mode being calibrated and another not but it looks like Vincent may of been wrong about dnice trick for the settings this time because these look insanely good
@@reviewforthetube6485 the biggest thing I noticed was black detail is so heavily enhanced. Just all around I think the biggest change was in the lower light conditions. And all the colors feel individualized. I don't even need live color or black adjust anymore with these settings. Everything just looks right. It's like looking through a window
Did you use the Enhanced settings or the standard settings? Do you use Netflix calibrated mode in Netflix or Custom Pro 2?
I used the enhanced settings and I used custom for pro 2
Hey thanks for the review and the information about getting the best picture out of your Sony a 90 J I have a question though.
Can you use these calibrated settings for the 65 inch and the 83 inch Sony a90J?
These settings are on the 65 a90j. The link in the description have all the a90j panel calibration settings for the 55, 65, and 83 inch. They're the "enhanced settings"

Hello how do you use HDR setings for gaming when the picture mode is in game mode when you are playing a game?
ruclips.net/video/Nt_P3idS7GY/видео.html
Hey man! I just made a video on regard to your question!
How long did it take to put all those settings in, I visited the forum D-Nice posted on and they appear to go on forever 0_0
It took me about an hour. He has settings divided by the 55 and 65 inch versions of the tv
Hey I just bought the 65 A90J and I'm noticing really bad jaggies in gaming on my Xbox Series X (coming from LG CX where I never noticed it). I'm not sure if it's just that the Sony shows so much detail that it's exposing the jaggies that didn't exist on my CX or if something is wrong with my set?
Overall I love the upgrade but I can't stop seeing the jaggies on straight lines or on the edges of characters, objects, etc...
I tried Sharpness on 0 and Reality Creation off, still doesn't hide the jaggies
What size tv was your LG? Also if you want to smooth everything over, smooth gradation on medium or high may hide some of that at the cost of detail. I know Sony tvs tend to show more of the imperfections vs LG. They retain more detail at the cost of aliasing. However if you're in game mode, from personal experience I don't really have issues with aliasing, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on
You also need to make sure you have set up your HDMI and everything correctly. On Sony tvs you have to go into the tv settings to enable HDMI 2.1 and all the enhanced options as well. I made a video about that as well.
Hi there. Very helpful video. Just curious which setting you use from D-Nice for that Demo clip you showed. He has so many on the AV forum, the Regular and Enhanced( edit from Service menu). Don't know which one to use 🤷
I used the enhanced (edit from service menu). I also used the daytime settings
@@SpencersStuffTV thanks for quick reply. I saw the Enhanced Day setting for SDR, but only one setting for the HDR. So I'm guessing one setting apply to night & day for HDR 🤔
@@lydaman2011 yes that applies to both. And HDR 10/hlg both use the same settings
Would you recommend day time settings over night settings ?
I love your videos. Great job. I have updated all your settings but I am having a problem. When using Apple TV I only show three picture modes as options. (Vivid, Dolby vision bright and Dolby vision dark). When I watch my tv through spectrum set top box I see options for vivid, standard, cinema, game, graphics, photo, imax enhanced, custom, custom for pro 1 and custom for pro 2. Why is that?
Dolby vision only offers those three options Sony offers. If you want more control, you need to somehow switch your apple TV to allow HDR 10 only.
I don't really get it? Are these picture settings? Just like iMax enhanced or Dolby vision etc?
I've thought you used Calman for calibrating?like you sad every panel is different? Isn't it better to just get the tv calibrated?
I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a professional calibration. At times you can use others settings to still get a better image because sonys processor is the same on all tvs. And panel to panel variations can be minor still. This is the case for this tv. This is why I encourage people to try it. If they like it, they can keep it, if not they can reset everything to how it was. trying it never hurt anyone. The information is in the description.
Great Video bro would this work for the Sony A80J or are you able to do a review on A80J

Unfortunately this will not work for the a80j being that it is a different panel. And I am unable to afford the a80j currently. I'm trying to pay off all my student loans by the end of the year so I don't have any extra money

There’s something i dont get. Please help cuz I’m a beginner. I’ve just bought the A90J 65’ and I want to use these Enhanced Settings. But there are like 4 or 5 different settings that D Nice made for this 65’ TV. I understood that one is for day, one is for night… am i supposed to change my « picture mode » every single day/night ? And how do i choose between hdr/sdr/dolby vision as well, which mode to watch? Last question is to put all these settings on my tv, i unlock custom pro 1 and 2 ok that’s 2 settings done. But for the 2/3 other settings, how do i put them? Do I create other « picture modes » or… ? Sorry i hope I’m being clear I just dont want to make any mistake
I don't use the night settings. If the tv is too bright you can go into the settings and turn down the brightness at night. I just use the enhanced sdr, enhanced HDR, and enhanced Dolby vision settings. These settings are tied to a picture profile, like expert 2, warm, etc. You're tv will automatically switch to HDR/sdr/Dolby vision depending on what your watching. All in all you should only worry about enhanced HDR 10, enhanced Dolby vision, and enhanced sdr daytime settings
@@SpencersStuffTV wow thank you so much for your answer i really appreciate it! Let me try to do all of that and I’ll tell you 😁😁😁
@@SNDKDANCERS yeah no problem. I'm usually around my phone so if you have questions, feel free to ask and I'll get to you asap!
@@SpencersStuffTV hi, even for enhanced sdr, there are two settings. One for day and other for night. Enhanced night sdr is set on custom pro 1. Enhanced hdr is set on custom pro 2. Now where do i set enhanced day sdr? D-nice is using custom pro 2 but that one is already taken up by enhanced Hdr. What am i missing?
Hey man great video! How can I get the hdr10 video for gaming from D-nice?
Just use HDR enhanced settings from the forum

@@TNY1914 it's in the video description
@@SpencersStuffTV thanks for the info and the video, one last thing does he have one on the 77” A80j or can I use these settings for my set?
@@TNY1914 I think he only did the a90j. I have heard some people used it on the a80j and liked it, but I do not know. If you want to try you can!
When I make changes to the CMS it carries over from custom 1 into custom 2. I can't seem to have multiple/different setting for each custom settings. Any help would be appreciated.
That shouldn't be happening 🤔 maybe try restarting your tv after applying specific settings? It's to be noted that the color management will change as well based on what you're viewing. So hdr, sdr, and dolby vision all have their own color management.
@@SpencersStuffTV That's how it's supposed to work. I just went into the RUclips app and changed the the 20 point in custom sdr and it carried over to custom 1 and 2. I went to HDR content, and what I did in sdr carried over to HDR. I also did this with my Oppo 203 and the exact same thing happened. So mad right now, can't use D-Nices setting because of this.
I have reset the Tv to factory twice so far.
@@criticalshot516 mind didn't do that so I'm not sure what's going on. That's so strange.

We’re you able to get a price match refund for your tv? I got $219 back from bestbuy since the 65 inch was on sale by that much already. I just hit them in the chat super easy. I’m going to apply this settings once I run my tv more.
I ordered mine two months ago (March 15th) so I think I'm outside that price matching window. I had a bunch of gift cards anyway so it's all good
I'm having trouble with the tv changing settings for other inputs and sdr/hdr content. Am I doing something wrong?
You need to make sure you change the color temperature. Expert 1, expert 2, warm, etc. The same color profiles use the same settings
@@SpencersStuffTV Oh wow okay! Gotta start all over lol. Thanks man ☺
Also for certain inputs only the 20p would carry over and the other settings would be set to 0 😱
@@Bairov yeah it depends which hdr you calibrated for. Dolby vision transfers to Dolby vision as long as it's the same color profile.
I am so dying to plug in D-Nice settings in my 83A90J but I am just too intimidated to enter the service menu.
You aren't entering the service menu in this. Calman just unlocks two picture presets to work with for professional calibration
Hi man, what’s the difference between basic and enhanced settings from d-nice?
The enhanced settings adjust the white point to push higher brightness. If you want higher peak brightness from the tv you need to use the enhanced
@@SpencersStuffTV damn , my A90J is in dark room so I guess I wouldn’t need more brightness? Now I need to reset the whole thing and start over. I already done the SDR and HDR settings.

That's all up to you! I definitely think it's made my image better. Sdr even feels next level with these settings. I recommend doing the sdr that isn't 100 nits. He has the option for brighter sdr and it's next level good as well

Yes! Been using the panel extensively since I bought it
@@SpencersStuffTV AWESOME! I currently at about 25hrs on mine and cannot wait to try these out!
@@chasen432 yeah Ive been playing tons of games and watching shows constantly. You may still notice immediate improvement with the settings even without the 100 hours

At that point it's just personal preference where I want to plug in those settings yes? Still confused as to what the heck is hdr vs sdr. Is hdr (basically hdr 10 when I don't want or can't use Dolby or I.e. an apple 4k tv) and sdr is like a coaxial cable tv source? Thanks Michigan!!!
@@bac4728 all color profiles are tied to a specific preset. So yes use the options custom for pro 1 and 2. I know Dolby vision used the warm color profile and the sdr/HDR use expert if I remember correctly. HDR is HDR 10 content, and it is used for gaming and hdr10 movies. SDR is any content that isn't running in HDR. The tv automatically switches to the color profile necessary for the content you're consuming. I've said before that every panel is different and that these won't necessarily work for your panel. If you want full calibration, then you'll need to have someone come in to calibrate your specific panell. As such, some people like a different image, which is fine! I commend you for trying it.
