- All the favourite truckers are back for more fun and adventures, and we also meet 20 young lads hoping for a place on the apprenticeship scheme. The famous London Piccadilly lights need moving, a biomass trailer goes missing and it is panic stations when the haulage firm's first-ever trucking festival needs a last-minute change of venue.
This highly popular observational documentary featuring haulage firm Eddie Stobart shows Stobart’s Haulage, Rail and Air divisions. The programme joins the drivers as they take on the challenges of delivering everything from the new pitch at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, to a London Landmark - the famous Piccadilly lights. It's all a bit sensationalist though, with perfectly normal traffic congestion being described as the drivers' "worst nightmare" and standard delivery deadlines made out to be life-or-death cut offs. The series also meets a new breed of drivers, as 20 young lads compete to win a place on the firm’s coveted apprenticeship scheme.

I think the 'Stobart Fest' was an excellent idea. Not only does it satisfy fans, but bridges the gap between ordinary drivers and lorry drivers. It also acts as a very effective recruitment tool. Above all else, the way drivers interacted with their fans was absolutely exemplary.
Wish this show would come back, or a show with another UK fleet. Love seeing & watching UK/EU trucks. I'm an American Trucker.
Hopefully we would get a series made that won’t ruin the company!

I've worked in logistics here in North America (Canada basically same ways as the USA) doing almost every job imaginable for the best part of 20 or so years mostly operating forklifts, clamp trucks, reach, shunt trucks etc and all that so it's really interesting to see the differences between here and over the pond.

Well the tacho Is only used to track driving hours excluding the parked loading and unloading time 🤷♂️
@@warriorz_hammer_7743 tacho records everything, how do you expect vosa to know that you’ve had sufficient breaks?

Well he can legally put the truck on break as he's loading the truck as the tacho is only used to track driving hours not parked loading and unloading, they tend to only wanna track the driving hours to stop drivers going over them hours and tiring themselfs out as it can cause accidents :)
@@warriorz_hammer_7743 tipping and loading is other work though, and you can still tire yourself out, especially if you're loading yourself.
