  • Following the well-known haulage company Eddie Stobart, famous for their iconic green lorries and smartly dressed drivers, as they work around the clock to load-up, drive and deliver their cargo to their deadlines.
This highly popular observational documentary featuring haulage firm Eddie Stobart shows Stobart’s Haulage, Rail and Air divisions. The programme joins the drivers as they take on the challenges of delivering everything from the new pitch at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, to a London Landmark - the famous Piccadilly lights. It's all a bit sensationalist though, with perfectly normal traffic congestion being described as the drivers' "worst nightmare" and standard delivery deadlines made out to be life-or-death cut offs. The series also meets a new breed of drivers, as 20 young lads compete to win a place on the firm’s coveted apprenticeship scheme.

Do wish the Americans, Canadians and any other NON Brit would quit judging us cause of how we cope in snow and ice. The majority of American states and most of Canada (and other countries) have large amounts of snow EVERY year, therefore you can cope with it better. Here in the UK, we don't. It's every 5-7 years we see major snowfalls like this, even then it is unpredictable.

I Love How nowadays so much as an inch of snow on the line and train stop however back in the 80s and earlier trains used to carry on running no matter what the snow conditions all bit slightly reduced and may be mildly delayed but never used to have the issues we have nowadays ridiculous how this country over react to tiny bit of snow the amount of snow we get at any given time is probably no different to a typical Canadian snowfall and a single day day and they carry on regardless it just amazes me how we get so much bad weather be yet we don't invest in it because we keep playing it down like all this is a freak weather storm or it's an unusual storm or whatever big yet it's not it happens quite regularly and has been happening quite ready for the last 13 years of not more more than anything the severity of the weather we have over last 20 years is less than what it was back in the 60s 70s 80s so if anything we should be finding it easier to cope not harder

Yes, in America we mainly use conventional tractors, so the I6 is the norm. In England and Europe the cabover is preferred, so that the truck's cab floor is flat and low as possible for the driver, a V8 or V6 is preferred since they are shorter than the I6.
