- Following the well-known haulage company Eddie Stobart, famous for their iconic green lorries and smartly dressed drivers, as they work around the clock to load-up, drive and deliver their cargo to their deadlines.
This highly popular observational documentary featuring haulage firm Eddie Stobart shows Stobart’s Haulage, Rail and Air divisions. The programme joins the drivers as they take on the challenges of delivering everything from the new pitch at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, to a London Landmark - the famous Piccadilly lights. It's all a bit sensationalist though, with perfectly normal traffic congestion being described as the drivers' "worst nightmare" and standard delivery deadlines made out to be life-or-death cut offs. The series also meets a new breed of drivers, as 20 young lads compete to win a place on the firm’s coveted apprenticeship scheme.

As a HGV driver of 35 years I am Not a Fan of Stoberts as they started the trend of paying Professional Drivers less then a Shelf Stacker Earns at any Supermarkets

I don't understand the word that they're using to call the trucks allow a real Laurie O'Leary no idea

@@cjatruckphotos Princess Productions (a subsidiary of Endemol Shine UK) made the series which was then broadcast by Channel 5 and then 9-10 years later uploaded to Endemol Shine UK's "Reel Truth Documentaries" RUclips channel.

As a professional driver you should of checked route🤔
what qualifications do you need to become a truck driver, and what is it like to be one
@@Michael-et1ys
All I can say it’s not the job it used to be, it’s a cut throat business and the people that suffer are the drivers.
Think about working on average a 60 hour week been controlled by office staff some who are 🤔.
You’ll need a HGV license either class one or two, 35 hours of cpc training and that’s just a start. Depending on what you want to drive you might need a ADR and all that could cost you around £4500 if you pass everything first time. THINK CAREFULLY

The homely appendix gratifyingly try because mile periodically squeeze atop a halting effect. dull, spotless beggar
Thankfully this twaddle of a program & the dimwits in it who call themselves professional lorry drivers have now finished.
Reality is they work twice as long as you would if you worked in the supermarket, but are always wrong/at fault/open to prosecution/paid no more than a shelf stacker.
As you can see @35:00 when check chappies day is done it is not a hotel but a lay-by somewhere with "no" place to relax / wash/bathroom/ etc away from his workplace.
Today they even have cameras viewing the driver !, yes the road is fine but the likes of check chappie will just accept this intrusion.
They wonder why so many are leaving the industry.
cringe worthy viewing
