Tbh the way he's changed after starting his YT channel is massive. He's a very likeable competitor now. Doing a lot for the golf sport with this channel. All YT golf channels has made me get more invested in the sport again.

I still throw frisbees every once in a while, but ever since the emergence of RUclips golf, I’m addicted again. I even follow golf club pickers and I’m back to collecting as well. @@llama5357 I should have said "allows" him to be generous. It's an allocation of resources. If he didn't have the money his priorities would be different. Person above stated for "love of game" may be true". Him having plenty of money allows him to even make that comment though. Not a big fan of professional sports (it's just me), they get paid out the roof to play a game. Love golf, just not separation of wealth (I'm not poor, so it's not bitterness btw). Great entertainer though.

You know what I thought your best move was in The US Open? You stopped in the middle of that chaos to a boy in wheelchair. You stopped, grabbed his hand, signed his cap, interacted with him, and moved on to business. That was absolutely amazing....I was very touched by that, cuz that's what it's all about. So many pro athletes forget that.

Devil’s advocate but would you rather be treated as normal or abnormal. I used to think, just treat everyone the same regardless but I can also see how being dealt an incredibly negative hand at birth should entitle someone to some extremely fortunate events in life. Suffice to say, I can see the reason why other golfers might pass by as they would for any other fan.

Petition for Bryson to actually start dressing like this on tour. The juxtaposition of ye ole tymee get-up with modern Bryson bomber golf would be awesome. Plus, it actually looks good and suits him, the stache just works overtime with the Tom Morris performance fit. Since he got into RUclips and we've seen more of his personality I've changed my tune completely. I happen to have played once with Bryson in Dallas and also met him once before that. He’s just a normal guy. Most of them are. They are just scrutinized 10x more then us for no other reason than the media thinks they can say and writes what ever they want about someone to get ratings.
OMG. I just watched you miss 7 of the last 8 fairways in the US Open. Then on the 18th, you are under a tree with a root in you direct line to the green. You punch it out into a bunker with an impossible 55 yard shot. So what do you do? You blast it within 4 feet of the hole and 1 putt for the win! Your Dad was with you as your second caddy, l know it. I am so happy for your win and giving me a heart attack at the same time! God Bless!

I mean, most of the players didn’t really like Bryson either. A lot of them complained about his slow play, and his beef with Koepka is really what drove people away from him. He’s definitely grown up since then

Bryson really kind of did it to himself, but yes he I think there was a bit of a narrative that the media leaned into once it started. This channel has done a ton to rehab his image though. I think he just comes across on the course as 1. incredibly serious and focused and 2. entirely selfish. Which let's be honest, if you're playing in tournaments for millions being serious and selfish is entirely understandable
I’m glad I didn’t pay too much attention to the negative hype. I’m a big fan and learning from his channel…..maybe not in this video, but his instructions are fantastic!

The thing I like most about Brysons channel is it is more golf than talking. That’s the big problem with a lot of these RUclips golfers, they get 15 guys on one hole and it’s just annoying. Keep up the good work Bryson
You also have guys that are barely even scratch golfers taking minutes talking through their shots and planning them out. “Yeah I’m gonna hit a soft 6, cut it in with the wind, let the slope of the green carry it down to the pin.” Then they pull it 15 yards left of the green

Bryson again shows that a consistent swing tempo is more important than the age or quality of the club.
He's using a driver from the late 70's, I've seen the club before. He's actually not hitting it that far from the few distances he mentioned (about 260, 270) relative to the pros of that time.
@@poocrayon4588 he was consistently hitting it just over 300 yards so idk what you are really talking about... and this is being his first time using these clubs.

The reason why Bryson is so awesome is because he does stuff like this to prepare himself to go out and win the biggest tournament in the world. Regular golfers can relate to him because he’s clearly having fun playing the game, even though he’s still playing at the absolute highest level while helping grow the sport for regular golfers.

Pinehurst is not about distance but instead accuracy & the ability to hit greens. Anything off the fairway is sheer luck as far as a lie unlike normal US Open deep but consistent rough. Too bad that they winner may not have been playing better but just had more lucky breaks.
