      @@BigDawgCAMyeah 130 mph ch speed, you should be carrying 310+. Even when I really get a hold of one at about 114 mph it gets 275-280 carry.

    • @BigDawgCAM
      @BigDawgCAM Год назад +2

      @@Eastmaniac @ssSHANEOoo *180's ball speed - I should have been more specific. A controlled/aggressive swing is around 125 mph clean head speed, 185 ball speed, and 325 yd carry.
      Seeing as I'm taller than Bryson at 6'3" and 28 years old, at the tier just below his swing speed I can promise everyone that the machine is miscalculating carry distances.
      What happens at high swing speeds is the ball tends to slip off the club face and spin like crazy. If I'm not careful with technique and ball selection, I can easily spin a 7 iron (34 deg) @ 100 mph club head speed well over 8,000 rpm that just sky rockets into the air.
      Their machine isn't accounting for the spin being detrimental and is instead just converting it into extra distance, which only happens with a tail wind in real life.
      So everyone knows what's actually attainable, my carry yardages are right at right at 15 yd gaping with 4 deg separation:
      58 (L) - 100 yd
      54 (S) - 115 yd
      50 (G) - 130 yd
      46 (P) - 145 yd
      42 (9i) - 160 yd
      38 (8i) - 175 yd
      34 (7i) - 190 yd
      30 (6i) - 205 yd
      26 (5i) - 220 yd
      22 (4i) - 235 yd
      18 (5W) - 250 to 260 yd
      14 (3W) - 265 to 275 yd

Bryson's 4/5 iron has probably a pretty similar loft (17°) to Garrett's 3 iron and the difference is...6 yards, with Garret actually being further. The video is more of how far do Bryson and Garrett hit the club they call their __ iron/wood. Interesting none the less!

    • @mattbrown6392
      @mattbrown6392 Год назад +1

      I agree loft is loft, but the best players in the world like him have to take into account how the flight/spin/ and reaction when it lands. Brysons PW will fly as high, spin, and react on a green just like a PW that’s a higher loft for someone like Cantlay. Bryson trains to hit the ball farther with the drivers and woods to get advantages, the other clubs he’s having to “re-loft” so they can fly, spin, and react on greens like standard golf clubs are supposed to. He swings that fast. For context, if all of your clubs were just renamed 1 less club “says 9i but is a actual PW” and you went to get fitted, the fitter would say “your 9-iron has way too much spin and you’re flying it way too high, then you’d counteract that with de-lofting the clubs, or putting a shaft in that is heavy enough to slow down the speed. In Brysons case he is an order of magnitude of about 1 club faster than the golf shafts that the speeds only made for pro players use. So they can’t help him get the spin and height correct with standard shafts (that’s my opinion) so he uses heavy graphite shafts and de lofts the clubs so he can hit and hold greens correctly. Not to mention he has a top 5 in the world short game. My point is don’t just think, oh I’d hit shots exactly like Bryson if I used his clubs… lol

      @@mattbrown6392 bryson isn't that much faster than most tour pros who play regular lofted irons. His science bag is because he does hit it hard but also because his wedges are the length of a 7 iron. His one length crap seems to create way more of a headache to just hit a regular shot that a regular length and lofted club does already even at his speed. Bryson just needs to call the clubs what they are and not say my nine is your 8 junk

    • @mattbrown6392
      @mattbrown6392 Год назад

      @@cichlidman09 that’s one way to look at it I guess. Also the technique he uses with the 1 length clubs which you refer to as a “junk” excuse has won the guy 10s of millions literally by playing golf with that technique. There’s more than 1 way to win for sure. But if you hate it so much, you should go compete and beat him, then tell him why it’s junk.

The only reason to label his clubs the way he does is to sensationalize his distances. It should be....60,56,50,PW,9,8,7,6,5,4. Pretty normal set up when you don't label your clubs wrong.

    The explanation of why Bryson has such cranked lofts makes no sense. I've heard him often say it's because he spins the ball so much, but changing what is written on the bottom of the club doesn't change launch characteristics. He says his pitching wedge (which is 2 degrees stronger than a standard players iron 9 iron) spins at 9000rpm (also what a tour player spins their 9 iron at) so putting a P on the bottom instead of a 9 is simply an exercise in ego. If he put a P on the bottom of his 45degree wedge, it will still perform the exact same as it does now, only difference is he can't enter dick measuring contests saying he hits it a club longer than everyone else.
