First time I've seen your channel, fun story you told out of a bannerlord campaign. Been playing too for a while but this honestly seems more fun than what I'm doing, kinda like light role playing.
I appreciate the openness of the game. A first few playthroughs you take every advantage you can find till you get good enough to increase the difficulty, then you make additional self imposed restrictions. Would be cool if there were achievements like this though. 🤔
13:10 why do i find it wholesome that amongst all the chaos and bandits sieging the castle theres a single looter just throwing rocks at the enemy garrison
A bandit only play through looks fun after you did it! All those bandit perks had me wondering why on earth I’d do such a thing, but I’m surprised how strong they actually are!
I love using the bandit units. I wish they'd expand the troop trees for them a little; tier 5 options for all types, as well as an overhauled/merged looter and thug line.
@@PodVista365 they get more common as time progresses. You can easily hire loads if you outpower them by a lot, they will offer to join you. There's a perk in roguery that makes it easier to hire them.
Black Heart is an early game breaking weapon when you focus on Two-handed weapons, it's already about the most peak balance of Two-handed Axes without crafting them yourself or waiting for the blacksmiths to get better
I like slower longer axes personally only because charging with them you have way more potential to kill multiple opponents at once even though they are not the most efficient
Great one. Repeated you companion only challenge - best playthrough ever. And one more thing - never approach enemy walls with shieldwall. Onagers will decimate you. Best bet is line or loose and push forward as quickly as possible to reach onager-safe zone

You should try the obscure units only play through. Caravan, Militia, Companion, Peasant, Minor Clan, and Quest-Unique troops (Conspiracy, Mounted Ransaker/Pillager, Poachers) only.
@@harrysalt5277 since I posted this comment I’ve done three WC attempts and I have determined that it *is* possible, but only through maxing out tactics early on to get better auto resolve RNG. Fighting field battles is pretty much impossible unless you outnumber the enemy, and even then most every fight the balance of power won’t be in your favor. I also had to save scum a lot and because of that I don’t think it would be possible on Ironman, but I do plan to attempt it in the future. In terms of the best units for this, it’s definitely going to be the mounted pillagers. The mobility they have as horse archers is pretty much your only advantage. Just keep moving around and shooting at the enemy, and then once your men run out of arrows retreat and repeat until success. Every other unit (excluding some of the minor clan troops like the wolfskins and your companions) are pretty much cannon fodder, so don’t be afraid to sacrifice them especially the mounted ransackers, because they are easy to replenish via the caravan escort/ambush quests. Aserai caravan units make for somewhat decent cavalry, but I couldn’t acquire enough of them on any of those three playthroughs to determine if they were actually able to make a difference.
So essentially the best Strat would be to max out tactics early and grind as many caravan escort/ambush quests as possible. The units themselves are very weak so if you have a good horse and a two handed mace you can take them on solo, then it’s just a matter of waiting in a town for several months in game to convert them. Bandit Hideouts are also great because they sometimes have peasants or caravan troops you can recruit after you clear it out.
