  • Kevin Bolusi was just a teenager playing around when he received more than 25 000 volts of electricity through his body. He was left amputated from a leg and with 3rd degree burns on more than 75% of his body. Thanks to #stemcellscience, he was able to receive a skin graft, allowing him to live life to its fullest. A moving interview by Bill Brock, Chair of CellCAN and survivor of Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.

Is there any way I can get in contact with this man? My brother is in the hospital right now with 3rd degree burns on 80% of his body. They look a lot alike. And like my brother, Kevin does not seem to have too bad of burns on his face. This gives me so much hope for my brother.

Yeah... I too have 3rd degree burns on 45 percent of my body. You learn to live with it, and embrace it as a part of you, but it can cause some serious issues sometimes.

I got burned in house fire. What you go through can not be described to non burn people. Fentenal into my neck shunt didn't work completely. I referred to the room where they change bandages as the torture chamber. Without the treatment i received at Harborview in Seattle l would have died. I return in August for a third lasor treatment. Itch is unbearable. Its good to be alive. Enjoy your health and work for happiness not wealth. Wealth doesn't hurt though. 😅
