In the US, there is a law that states the press can't release the name and identity of someone who died without the family knowing first because it's so devastating to hear that kind of news 2nd hand like that. It's obvious China doesn't have that law.
I don't know anything about the law or rule or anything relates to that and this is just my assumption she would have broken down even more. especially when she was bedridden.
Actually she is a big beneficiary of Korean society. Thanks to generous Korean society, she was able to be treated for free and move to Korea and even go to university even though she is foreigner(She is descendant of Korean but she is Chinese). I really hate when Asian boss do this. They always use stupid distorted cliche like "Oh Koreans are so discriminatory blah blah". They always distort the truth. And she should feel grateful for what Korea provide to her.
This is so inspiring. When celebs and social media stars with 'perfect lives' make you feel insecure about yourself, this woman's story about the kinds of adversity that ordinary people confront and overcome should hopefully bring you back to reality.

so because she experienced something like that others can't feel negatively about themself? guess my self confidence problems are solved. (no hate to her though, she's really really beautiful and pretty. just saying that other girls who don't like the way they look isn't a 'sad' thing, everyone has insecurities.)
I won't lie, her appearance at first may be a bit of a shock, but then when you hear her talking about her struggles suddenly it all fades away and her beautiful spirit shines brighter than all of her burns. I had ezcema and was sent to the hospital due to my ezcema which had become bad enough to warrant burn care treatment. It was such a painful time and all I could think of was how much I hated living. Recently i got burned a little on my hand but still it was very painful, how could that delicate girl in her 14, suffered such extreme pain. I wish her to have a better and peaceful life .
Burns depending on how deep are extremely painful and sometimes doctors will put the person in a medically induced coma so that they don't have to feel it. However, if the burns are deep enough you burn the nerve endings so the severity doesn't always align with pain level as a deeper burn would basically cause numbness at that point.
@@Rinsuki I have heavily burned my hand with burning oil, and damaged my nerves . It was some kind hell of experience. When it happened, I felt nothing, just shocked. I automaticly put hand under room temperture water and was waiting for ambulance. First day it was light acceptable pain. The hell started next day after first band change. I was shacking from pain, it was driving me really crazy, I was mumbling something like insane just to distract myself. I tried three different types of painkillers, but they did't work. Only mix of weed and opiats helped me to calm down. It was actully funny. I was laying on the bed, my hand was burning like I was touching the sun, but I wasn't distracted from this pain, I still was feeling the pain, but it was like it was somewhere else and I was happy. I feel really sorry for that girl, that she feels the same, but in her entire body.
It's not uncommon for 3rd degree burns to cause such extensive nerve damage that victims are unable to feel much "pain" at all and thus, some 2nd degree burns may be more "painful," despite them technically being less harmful. Also, the situation and pain for her must have been so sudden and intense that she and her body would have gone into complete shock for a while. I want to say thank you to Cui Lina. Even though I don't suffer from any burns, this hit me deep and her words made me feel many emotions. I suffer from the worst type of eczema. I used to wear shorts and skirts when I was younger and then grew self conscious. The worst spots I had it on was my legs. Eczema effects pigmentation. So some parts of my legs would be brown and other parts dark brown. One day I had to wear my shorts in 6th grade since my pants got ripped. A boy who was my friend said my legs were f up. And the other kids were staring so hard. I never put on another pair of shorts that school year. When I got in middle school I decided to try them out again and there were still people that would stare but it wasn't that bad. Until someone who didn't really like me started picking on me about it. I remember one boy said my legs were dirty. I holded in my tears that time. Currently I'm in 10th grade and still don't wear any shorts/dresses/skirts. I'm still afraid of people talking about me, especially my friends. I haven't showed my legs for 3 years so everyone either forgot about it, don't know, or think it's not like that anymore. Trigger Warning: I wanted to kms over it so many times. My family even said things that really hurt. I do still have moments where I feel alone and worthless. But at least my legs got a lot better. I started taking better care of them. After listening to Cui's story, I feel a bit better about myself. She's so strong and love herself so much. She gives me inspiration. I wish to be like her. You're right..
Ikr living in korea is hard enough

Not even 14, 12!!
When she was 14 she got burned!?? 😯
After 5 year since accident, I have been still feeling the pain in my hand if it is too hot or too cold outside. It is weird feeling, like you have a rubber glove under your skin.
That being said, I can't even imagine the level of physical and psychological pain this woman has endured and from which, prevailed; i'm incredibly humbled and in awe of her strength and courage

@@spacec4824 You honestly got a point. I have been balding since age 11 and I admit that I'm not very good looking because of that. Personally I would admit the same if I was a burn survivor. My 2 cents also. She is definitely an amazing woman none the less and I wish her the best of her life.
@@spacec4824 she is beautiful . It just depends what you consider beauty as . Since she has a beautiful character and coming to looks you should never criticise someone based on how they look since looks doesn't matter

You contradict yourself. If something doesn't matter, it should be okay to talk about it.
You really think she looks beautiful? What do you think comes to someone's mind when asked to think about the perfect partner? "Man, I really want him/her to be a burn victim because their disfigured skin and body parts are so attractive to me!"
It's fine that everyone is not beautiful. Beauty is not everything.
Stop telling lies ,she is not good looking that's truth but it doesn't matter , so stop being nice fake person that can make her hurt
Not only is she able to love herself, she also forgives her mom. She has the heart of gold.
Yeah she is amazing
How are you doing?
I love how this girl answered. She inspired me. Thankfully, her eyes didn't go blind despite of the danger she faced when she was young~
Now THATS a bunch of strong women... Literally real fighters.
Respect.
Thanks, to the doctor who treated her for free 😭🙏
Such a strong minded girl, strong inside out.
The section where she talked about not being able to look at herself for a year and eventually learning to like herself so that others would also like her really hit me. Thank you for sharing this story with the world
Such a strong hearted woman. Most women would take their own life if they're in her place. I hope she continue to live happily 🙏
So inspiring. Continue to live with courage, your strength is so beautiful
She’s so brave, she’s in country where beauty is judged the most and she’s over here wearing Korean clothing, makeup, etc, if I had ever had this appearance I would’ve went outside. She’s a very brave and confident girl.
Every time I feel down about myself, I'm going to come back to listen to her again. I'm going to try to love myself and not let anyone's words effect me. Thankyou again Cui Lina & Asian Boss💜❤
엄마 얘기하는데 너무 담담하셔서 조금 울컥... ㅠㅠ 저기까지 오는데 얼마나 힘들엌ㅅ을까
the burn patient ward in hospital is one of the most depressing ward in my opinion, it smells so bad like burn meat (obviously), people are in pain, with prognosis either die by infection or survive with burn scars.. hats off to the survivors, accepting yourself is one thing, then facing the world is the next step.. and none of it is easy.. i hope society will be friendlier to burn victim as time goes by :)
The way she talks is so sweet and relaxing❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I love how confident and brave she is after all of the stuff she has gone through. I was so ready to fight anyone who said anything bad about her when she was walking down the street. To Cui Lina if your reading this please know that we love You 💗💗💗.
A great interview! Self love is the first and realest love you'll ever get in this world - in order to be loved by others.
A great interview thank you asian boss.
