Yesss plz more rolling commentaries
i really appreciate these rolls where you start on the bottom against someone larger/stronger, super helpful to learn from!
Thank you! I'll try to find some more big guys to roll with asap!
Do it with bigger blue belts or better in no GI from bottom@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu
Definitely need to see blue belt roll. Learned guard retention, holding position in side control and don't invert with bigger opponents.
As usual, the best rolling commentaries out there! Thanks!
Thanks man!
Thanks Neil!
And thanks Jordan for explaining 😊
Niel is epic. Hope he keeps having fun training! Good roll!
Super informative roll. Thanks so much again
These videos are amazing. Such great details and concepts shown live. Keep them coming!
Will do! Thank you 🙏
Good roll!! Happy to see big guys rollin. Post a update video, sir!
As someone who is usually the smallest in the gym when rolling in open mat and during classes this was super informative. I'm going to try these techniques next time
Happy to hear that man! Let me know how it goes 🙂
20 years ago, Neil probably would have been a blue belt already just based on that roll. Inflation hits everybody lol
Haha yepp he's really good!
You always keep saying that you don't want to do armbars on youtube, but it is honestly great to see. Especially like this where they are different entries. Great video
You're right. I get too much in my head about what people do/don't want to see. It makes it harder to flow in these videos because the path of least resistance isn't always variety. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Neil is amazing. Im yet to convince myself to try jiu jitsu. Good job man.

Every day you dont start your first day becomes more daunting and difficult do with this information what you will
You're gonna kick yourself for not starting earlier when you do eventually start.
it will be really hard at the beginning.. focus on framing your opponent (dont let them grab your head) and learn how to breath calmly
but in 6 months youre gonna look back at this comment and be like man.. i should have started sooner
How old are you mate? I started at 27 and now I really wish I just did it when I first had the thought at like 23
Great video as always. Gracias Jordan, videos entretenidos y didácticos.
Muchas gracias! 🙂
Excellent video. Definitely get Neil back on! Thanks for all the work you put into your channel
Great video! Would love to continue seeing more rolling with Neil and other guys larger than you!
Thank you! Yepp more rolls like this one coming right up 🙂
Love the conceptual details like going for X guard when someone steps near your head. Makes total sense but not something I think of when rolling.
Glad you found it useful man! 🙂
Great video! I’m always interested in watching how you handle much larger opponents. That’s my biggest struggle. Neil did a great job and I would definitely be interested in a rematch! Keep up the amazing work! 👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
As a white belt and similarly size guy (287 lbs) #bigboyjits #bigboyjiujitsu I appreciate this video and both of you two sharing this to help others. I also enjoy rolling with black belts so I really appreciate seeing where the skills differentials come in to play
🙏👊
Hey Jordan!
Been watching your videos for a little while and found out that your gym is barely 10 minutes down the road from me; been taking afternoon gi classes for almost two months now. Unfortunately I caught an injury at work recently (nothing crazy, getting better everyday) and haven't been able to get onto the mats and it's got me a little down - I was wondering what you do to pass the time when you're working through an injury and you can't roll at 100%?
Maybe we can get a roll in when I'm back and ready to go, I'm sure it'll be entertaining for everyone🤘
As a smaller guy this was very helpful. Would love to see another roll with Neil
Thanks man! Blues coming soon for sure. When it does I'll film another roll with him right away 🙂
Great video; seems like Neil isn’t trying to toss you around as some newer big white belts do. Focuses on the static strength and just using his size to try and roll you over.
Interesting to see even with your skills it’s not just a cake walk with bigger opponents. Impressive you were never in danger just managing his size mainly.
Thanks! Yepp Neil knows his stuff. He's a great guy and student as well!
Great instructional video and yes, I'd like to see Big Neil as a Blue go against you!
Thanks! 🙏
This is amazing
Thanks! 🙏
This commentary reminds me not to over commit and be patient like the failed lasso sweep to tripod sweep, which also doesn't come the first time. Well explained!
Thanks!
Hey Jordan do you see yourself putting out a striking instructional soon? As it’s become dominant over grappling and all
Would love to do it but BJJ is priority 🙂
Yes, when I see a smaller guy performing tecnics against a bigger man I feel that tecnic works.
08:31 Hey Jordan, rolling back attacks are something I take a big inspiration from you and I'm trying to incorporate it to my game (so far attempted 4 of them withotu success haha)
in this example, would you hook your right (bottom) foot into Neil's right foot/shin (top)
or your left (top) foor into Neil's right foot/shin (top)?
Right foot onto his right shin. I'm pretty sure rolling back attacks will be my next instructional. I'm going to start working on it soon. Hopefully it'll help you find more success hitting them. They work great and look cool haha, hard to beat that!
It would be cool to see another roll session with Neil
Definitely gonna make it happen 🙏
Thank you.
🙏
You know me... always love seeing a new gi video. 😀👍👏👊
Great video as always Jordan...closing in on 225k subs, and it is so well deserved. Now I have to ask in your experience are the bigger guys more or less challenging than the medium or the smaller guys? 🤔
Would definitely be interested in seeing you roll with him when he gets his blue belt. 👊
Thanks man! I find people between 180-220lbs the toughest the roll with. Because they're usually strong yet still fast and technical. I think I've got a good style and build for the really big guys.
Seeing guys like Neil pick up on what you pointed out in a prior roll is _so_ inspiring!
I would glagly watch him promote to blue belt. 👍🏼
He is a great student and training partner. Proud to have him as a part of the Limitless team 🙂
Moral of the stories guys, size does matter, but technique often trumps it.
100%
I'm a bigger dude myself, so I love seeing these! I'd love to see this again after he gets his blue belt.
🙏
Awesome of Neil that he is still in the game and brave enough to share his learning with RUclips!
👊
Definitely another roll w Neil once he gets his blue belt!!
🙏
I totally forgot about x guard... lol. Gonna work it today if its there.
How did it go? :)
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu people are too smart and know what I'm doing 😅
great roll, he moves very well for his size and is a solid white belt and deserving of a blue belt already whenever given to him if not at least very close.
🙏
I have a Gi- SUbmision match in 6 hours against a guy 70lbs heaver. Timing of this couldn't have been better.
Hope it goes well for you! Good on you for taking a match with such a weight disadvantage 💪💪
Yeah baby how’d you go?
@@moeyali123 he pulled guard I passed to mount went for kimura into modified mount. He literally just rolled over and got side control, smashed me for two minutes, so hard I got black eyes. Ref stood us up, opponent did a snap down I managed to get into x guard, and swept. I lost grip on his leg scramble ensued and he then proceeded to smash pass into arm in choke. I lost but coach said I did pretty much everything right.
He was moving pretty good for a one stripe whitebelt.

100% on the roll when he hits blue
I weigh 215 and beside my instructor, I’m always like 40lbs heavier than the next guy. Idk why but my gym never has any fat people. so I always worry about hurting the smaller people but they do the opposite, it seems like they try even harder to beat me.
The better opponent is always the one everyone tries to beat
Soon.

👍👍👍

😊
👊
Anyone think it’ll be cool to see Jordan in PGF?
Would be cool!
He's a good white belt. Looks like one day he'll be a big guy with good technique, a combination no one wants to deal with lol
100%. He is improving greatly!
Great job from a white belt regardless of size. Can tell this wasn’t just a walk over for you.
He's good!
Bruh, I wasn't nearly as good as Neil when I was a white belt!
He is really good! 🙂
Yes please
🙏
I need dat no gi commentary.
Coming soon!
