    Definitely need to see blue belt roll. Learned guard retention, holding position in side control and don't invert with bigger opponents.

      You're right. I get too much in my head about what people do/don't want to see. It makes it harder to flow in these videos because the path of least resistance isn't always variety. Glad you enjoyed the video!

    Hey Jordan!
    Been watching your videos for a little while and found out that your gym is barely 10 minutes down the road from me; been taking afternoon gi classes for almost two months now. Unfortunately I caught an injury at work recently (nothing crazy, getting better everyday) and haven't been able to get onto the mats and it's got me a little down - I was wondering what you do to pass the time when you're working through an injury and you can't roll at 100%?
    Maybe we can get a roll in when I'm back and ready to go, I'm sure it'll be entertaining for everyone🤘

    Great video; seems like Neil isn’t trying to toss you around as some newer big white belts do. Focuses on the static strength and just using his size to try and roll you over.
    Interesting to see even with your skills it’s not just a cake walk with bigger opponents. Impressive you were never in danger just managing his size mainly.

    08:31 Hey Jordan, rolling back attacks are something I take a big inspiration from you and I'm trying to incorporate it to my game (so far attempted 4 of them withotu success haha)
    in this example, would you hook your right (bottom) foot into Neil's right foot/shin (top)
    or your left (top) foor into Neil's right foot/shin (top)?

    • @JordanTeachesJiujitsu
      @JordanTeachesJiujitsu  Месяц назад +2

      Right foot onto his right shin. I'm pretty sure rolling back attacks will be my next instructional. I'm going to start working on it soon. Hopefully it'll help you find more success hitting them. They work great and look cool haha, hard to beat that!

    Great video as always Jordan...closing in on 225k subs, and it is so well deserved. Now I have to ask in your experience are the bigger guys more or less challenging than the medium or the smaller guys? 🤔
    Would definitely be interested in seeing you roll with him when he gets his blue belt. 👊

      Thanks man! I find people between 180-220lbs the toughest the roll with. Because they're usually strong yet still fast and technical. I think I've got a good style and build for the really big guys.

      @@moeyali123 he pulled guard I passed to mount went for kimura into modified mount. He literally just rolled over and got side control, smashed me for two minutes, so hard I got black eyes. Ref stood us up, opponent did a snap down I managed to get into x guard, and swept. I lost grip on his leg scramble ensued and he then proceeded to smash pass into arm in choke. I lost but coach said I did pretty much everything right.
