Pretty sure this event has been done for like two months but it’s nice to watch edited version instead of 5 hours of a live stream
Random Dude Like?
MisterTwister the diesel power challenge has been done for 2 months they just now are putting up the edited parts of it , that’s what I was saying
I feel like this year was the first time they showed the live stream
Love the 2nd gen dually. Sounds like he has had his hands on every part of that truck.
True.
That 2nd gen 12V is a beauty. I don't care if it's not the most powerful truck, it's beauty is in its simplicity, and the fact that brothers built it themselves.
Richard Fitzwell that’s the trucks I like see running right there
The 97 F250 is pretty cool as well
This is what I'm waiting for, thank you for making this event free for us to enjoy.
That old Ford with the 7.3 was just awesome!
DUNE YXZ awesome waste of money
Today the motor trend community remembers when Motor trend content was over 4 minutes long.
A old 7.3! I'm in love! A old 5.9! What a great competition this will be!
There’s no challenge when it comes to a 5.9
Did someone else noticed the lack of new diesel trucks... that should tell you something about them!
Love both the 97s. And of course I relate to that Midwest rust.
If you’re swapping parts for different events how can you claim the ultimate truck?
It's not too unusual. I swap wheels and tires a few times a year on my F250. On long towing trips to ride RZR's I'll put my factory wheels and smaller less aggressive tires on and use a towing tune. Not exactly the same as here but I don't feel it cheapens the event. Different situations require different parts to perform best. Race cars do the same thing for different tracks.
Its no different than changing my tune and raising the tire pressure for towing. You need to understand the amount of time and money that goes into these rigs, its astronomical. Most of the parts these hardcore enthusiasts make go into production for the rest of us to use and enjoy.
20:01 That 12 valve has to be loosing boost. Weld on the tube has holes in it.
Why hasn’t this come back?? One of my favorite series to watch
That OBS ford❤❤❤
LOVE the fact that steven lucero's DOESNT SMOKE, finally a well tuned one.
TooManyHobbies those are the trucks I like to see
Dang a year goes by quick dont it? I wanna see Gale Banks compete in this even just for fun
jeep2003 I doubt he’s allowed on ATS’s property lol
I look forward to this series every year ! thank you for staying on RUclips !
Nothing since this 2019 :(
WE NEED( GREG A ) ON HERE !!!!!!
We also need to put unecessary (parentheses) around things
Lol ( Exactly )
Really cool seeing the competitors cheer for each other as they came off each pull
Just putting this out there, this event has been held for years, and yet somehow, not even on the first day, someone has never said, "we need to evacuate this dyno cell MUCH better"... like am I getting punked? How do you not see that massive problem?
CODY LAMBERT IS COMPETING??? I went to school with this guy, awesome! Watching from Wapakoneta Ohio!
Super stoked to see an obs this year!!
Am I the only one that noticed the constant differences on specs of the trucks from what was on the screen to what the person was saying???
Had no idea a 6.4 could survive a dyno run let alone make that much power.
6.0/6.4 are really fast and awesome engines, BUT you have to dump 50k into just the engine.
6.4s are stupid powerful. They come with twin turbos from the factory. Which is one reason they have so many problems. They make too much boost pressure and the components cant handle it.
6.4L is the fastest of all powerstrokes tune, exhaust only etc.
xinferis chief more like 5k-9k but after that thah take high horse tunes as reliably as any other built engine
Darins truck did DPC back in 2016 with its last owner JD Gleason who is sitting shot gun. This truck has gone though a few 6.4's between JD and Darin. Now we'll see if it makes a Milk Shake!
I love the OBS 7.3!! I've had several and always feel like I'm missing out without one in my life. My next one I'm going to put in a more modern interior, the usual upgrades and keep forever.
Las cruces New Mexico El Paso Texas rooting for you !
The red cummins is insane
BEEN WAITING! THANK GOD
I wonder if the editing is gonna be as screwed as it was last year
Just my opinion, but the guy from new mexico didn't seem like he knew his truck very well. It might have just been the nerves though.
Glad I ain't the only one who was thinking that. One of those guys I'm thinking just took it to the shop and told them he wanted upgrades haha
"aftermarket injectors" is a bit obvious with that compound setup...
Him and his brother own a shop there in las cruces called black diamond diesel, they’re from around my area
Seen that white 7.3 powerstroke in shelbyville,tn this morning
I loved this. Thank you. I wish I had the money for this type of stuff.
Finally a 7.3 on dpc
That last one was back in 2013 or 2014.
And he's not in last on the dyno! I was more impressed with that than anything. Makes me proud of my '96 CC dually!
Maier is the owner of Irate Diesel so he knows a thing or 2 about the 7.3. I get the feeling this is not a 10/10ths setup. There's more left in her!
Cool to see Will there supporting Seth. Go PDD!!
I wonder if there’s enough people for a Championship DPC next year. Get all former champions and maybe runner ups to compete
one guys from midland Texas i was born in Odessa west Texas stand up , nothing out there but oil rigs and football lol
DEL RIO 🤘
Wait, we don’t have to pay for this.... whoa.....
Let's go, Idaho!
Thank god for edited version, not 5 hrs long live.
I guess everyone gets a set of compounds now a days 😂
Why would they just vent the exhaust inside the dyno room? Should've at least vent it out
Liking the ‘06 MAGACabs!
I like that 2nd gen
Cody reminds me of Hans from the Burbs movie.
Let Charlie keeter run again 🔥🔥🔥
It seems this year had a lot more HP than last year.
Get eeeem!
8:24 Wisconsin represent!
Lol it’s funny that you see olny cummins and duramax trucks. These people know what’s up.
At least they brought back Brian
Wish they still had it
finally!!!
That obs🤤🤤😍
Whistlindiesel should be in the 2021 Diesel Power Challenge with MonsterMax 2
Its got uhhh arp fasteners...their head studs
What’s with the hand held trigger thing.
These trucks are awesome man! Great content!! 👍🏿👍🏿🇬🇧🇬🇧
that theres the fun button
Its nitrous
Dude from New Mexico didn't know anything about his truck it seemed like. Lol
Biggest numbers and 1st truck to leave without mechanical problems because cummins
We miss randy. bring him back!!
Brian Lohnes is the Mike Goldberg of motorsports announcing.
Hope its better than 2018
one things for sure... Colorado is sure full of 6.4s...
Europe: banning diesel cars from city centers, and Germany will stop building combustion cars by 2030 because of climate change
America: MORE SMOKE THE BETTER
It's not like a dozen trucks are going to change anything
Well we don't believe in climate change , that's commie liberal Bs . Murica .
Diesel exhaust is better than gasoline.
@@ericpettyfishing as long as you keep combustion temperatures low, with an EGR, in a way you don't produce more toxic fumes. But in general you can make less climate change gases with Diesel, but that would not apply to modified engines that are going to be used in performance applications
@@ericpettyfishing yea, if blue eficient motores and if addblue, american trucks dont have that
Everybody knows single cabs do everything the best
Like transporting 4 passengers?
@@Torvikholm bought my truck to do work not drop the kids off at school.
Charlie keeters 6 liter would still be smokin everybody😅😅😅
Upload best drivers car.
Rich Coker is the best guy for this challenge
Brian Lohnes is the most knoledgble guy on Instagram.
Would love to see a tuned v10 or v12 TDI compete.
Lol street legal
Caravina exactly my thought
In certain places they are street legal ik up here in alberta they would be
Its free!!!
100 thumbs...
A lot of the truck are mall crawlers with the wheels and tires they have.
Diesel are the best
That first black 06 Cummins is a 6.7? Why take out the 5.9?
Because of the extra displacement
Bigger is better.
JustJay 0312 you kinda answered your question in your comment.
why is it almost all 1000+hp this year 😂
PROSKILLS
why not show the trucks brake?
So…. When’s the next one
Unreal man, almost 2200 lb ft that's like a 16l cat
Except the cat will last 1000s of hours. These maybe a couple hundred
Go Ford
had to click cause i seen an obs
Wait No 6.0? Also Chevys coming out strong now... Love it
At the end of the day...id still take the 97 cummins....bc out of all the trucks...itd be the only one to be reliable n potential to make it a million miles
That old duramax needs a new body
Welcome to Wisconsin, that's normal lol
@@kylesonsalla7620 Buddy I live in canada you cant even begin to talk 😂😂😂😂
@@allanfrancis7572
Canadian cars that come down here are in better condition than ours lol, you guys don't use nearly the amount of chemical on the roads.
@@kylesonsalla7620 wrong we the salt and the slury is rediculace those cars you see are the ones we trust to take down there 😂😂😂😂
@@allanfrancis7572
Not wrong, keep going lol. The chemicals we use do much more damage than salt, calcium chloride and beet juice making vehicles rust after the first winter...
How to make a 6.4 power stroke good lol
06 6.7 Cummins??? How?
Did he just say 400% over injectors? Jesus Christ lmao
No 6.7 Fords? Not good for building or what?
Why was this not on MTOD
Why do they use trucks and not somethink like a merc v8 turbodiesel sedan?
Gabriel Berg, because they will be towing equipment in 2 events.
Because it's a truck event
Why not show up with simply a diesel engine in a shopping cart?
We need a diesel SUV tbh
GM did that in the 90s with the 6.5 Detroit
Jordan Ray i know but like a duramax swap suburban or a excursion
V10 Toureg?
Cadillac has it for $100k lol
7.3 lol
If I see one of them Smoking, I will call the wrath of Gale Banks upon you. Or Wolfgang Ulrich. And if you don't know who that is you have no place with Diesels anyhow.
just goes to show a bigger engine doesnt mean better
How can these guys afford their engines and transmissions? They must live in their trucks.
They don't have twins, lol. Seriously tho, some people have better jobs than others.
18:52 💀💀💀
I'd like to see a European diesel SUV for comparison. Just to know how well (or not well they would do).
Like a V8 Touareg or Range Rover or something.
They would fail miserably... even if they get the power up there in the high altitude conditions, the trailer pull will kill them as the more weight the truck has, the more it can tie (usually).
not really much that can compete with these, a touareg with the 5.0 would place last in every event, it only makes 550 torque. lets say you modify it to make double that, it would still be last powerwise
Not to mention the V12 Q7. That thing makes more power/torque than these trucks did stock.
the v12 q7 SUV is no competition for a 7,500lb pick up. especially in a sled pull or 10,000lb towing competition.
It would forever crabwalk down the road afterwards
At least these are real and not a one million pound haul with a 2 tonne strap.
Nitrous...smh...dont ppl know how to build power without it anymore??
All these dude stomping on the gas pedal like kicking it through the fire wall will help... SMH
