Either way the consumer wins no matter what choice they make. Your money, your choice. Enjoy your tv.
Nah, your correct. I've read/seen in a few reviews where they point out the skin tone issue. It's due to the color saturation Samsung applies. That's the issue with the S90D/S95D. The colors POP, amazingly, something the G4 just can't do because it's not QD. But the algorithm in Samsung's processing is just not quite there yet, unfortunately allowing those colors to reach the point of cartoon-ish levels sometimes. But you really can't go wrong with either TV, their both amazing in their own way.

Recently bought a Samsung S90D tv. I had implemented your custom settings for sdr and hdr in my tv. I was curious that will it now use the neo 4k upscaling feature when using custom settings over the default🤨
All this talk of colors and shades and contrast is ultimately pointless because the OLED TV on which you can go into the service menu and disable the insanely annoying and deal breaking ASBL will be the OLED TV that will automatically win any comparison. Everything else is brand circle jerking and autistic dive into ultimately meaingless settings that nobody cares about, especially if your TV visibly dimms because of a logo or game UI and ruins the whole picture quality that you painstakingly spent hours to research and calibrate. Now, I know on Sony there is no way to disable the ASBL which automatically disqualifies all Sony OLEDs. I know that on the older LG's like the C1 and C2 you could get the service remote and go into the service menu and disable the ASBL. On the first gen Samsung, the S95B you could download an app and do it from your smarphone. But what about the S90D and G4? Is it still possible to get into the service menu and disable the ASBL? Nobody on youtube is talking about this anymore and I wonder how come. Has everyone just thrown in the towel and accepted to live with ASBL? Because if there is no way to disable ASBL on the newer OLED sets, then none of these TV's are worth buying, at any price.
I saw both TVS in store today in person, and the Samsung S90D and S95D had REALY REALY grey blacklevels, where the LG G4 and C4 had actually black ones... did they configure the screens wrong? Or does the technology realy handle some ambient light this badly?
Here is my dilemma. I can get the 77 inch G4 cheaper then I could get the S90d I have the G4 but I have to return it because the speakers are messed up and I think something wrong with the panel. So I have another g4 coming Saturday unless I pay the extra money for the s90d
I would like to have your opinion. I ordered the s90d but everyone is saying on reddit they would rather get an Hisense H9N because of the amazing brightness. What do you think ?
Just wondering why the whites in S90D appear purplish and not true white like the G4? Is it because of the QTV setting or comes with the tv? No punt intented just pure question from my viewing perception. Thank you
The camera adds to some of that. They seem to be turned warmer though. Not a fan of the purple clouds myself but I would think it would be adjustable in the settings.
In europe we might as well just get a G4 because samsung is playing their dirty game saying all S90D woled with only 65" can be either one. It's a lottery im not willing to gamble on.
How about this. I can get the G4 77" for 3250 dollars in my country, no a discount, but the S90 or S95D still cost 4,5k or higher. How about that. You would still go for the QD-OLED?
I only see purple/violet color where there should be white or blue on the samsung.... i will check them both in real life but if smasung looks like that the choice will be easy... also the price are almost the same in NL
I'm assuming you mean S90D? I've owned the S95B and now the G3, and I'd go for a S90D personally. Main reason is gaming, Lg has way too many limitations in gaming, like locking peak brightness and disabling processing. If all I watched were movies... I'd go Lg, as I think they have better motion and color accuracy, along with Dts x support and Dolby vision.
@@inkedia I'm looking for S90d vs Lg C4 and finally also I'm going to book S90d so many I know is that worth booking S90D over C4 and how was your xperience of yours pls share Thanks 👍
Bessere Preis, Verarbeitung, guter Halter inclusive, bessere Software, Dolby Vision. Meine Zimmer ist 40m², Entfernung 5,5-7,5m, mein aktueller TV...65" Plasma vom Panasonic.
Still can’t get over how close they are. I’m overall really happy with my S90D thanks to your settings that I applied, but was wondering if you’ve experienced any issues with colour banding, motion artifacts and overall clarity on yours? I’ve had a few issues of that nature with mine, and am wondering if I may have gotten one with a faulty panel/processor?
Not close at all. S90D are significantly nicer than G3 G4. I just went back to Bestbuy again (i live like 800m 4 min walk from Bestbuy ), lol. WOLD is so dated. They show the demo. But like as SOON as u go to TV menu, the little square --Apps. The colors are so thin. S90D n Hisense TCL mini LEDs all have 3X color Density of LG SONY WOLED …..😮🥬vs 🧩 most images if its not mauntains n stuff 🌸🍎💗🔥🐦🔥🍉🌳🧠 are all produced by Color volume 🧼🍄🟫👄. WOLED NOT only pestle, also lame low color 🤨😜
A 2013 first gen WOLED isn't comparable to a g4, it just isn't sorry. For me personally , g4 meets my minimum requirement on paper, whereas the other models like c4 or any non MLA models do not, due to the off axis tint and lower colour luminance in game mode (they finally fixed that one on the G4 and only on the G4). The only thing stopping me from getting the s90d is motion hiccups with 24p content, and possibly also with 60p content as well due to the "always on" inverse telecine where it tries to detect when a 60p stream contains 24p and reclocks it to 5:5. Still trying to get info on this, Adam of ratings saw my question but didn't answer it. I need that question to be fully resolved before I can commit. I need to know that when I feed 60p it will not miss a single frame. That is a minimum requirement of mine, I am NOT willing to compromise on that . The 24p issue I can workaround by sending it as 120hz from my HTPC.
God the reds and yellows in woled are so ugly. Not surprising since woled uses a yellow emitter with color filters to get red and green whereas qd-oled (as well as mini-led) have pure green and red emitters, essentially, due to the quantum dots. In order to make yellow, you have to combine red and green light. It is the most "impure" color that woled can produce, which is actually ironic because it has a pure yellow emitter.
He’s got the magic settings guys. You can never achieve such greatness! Lmao. Let me guess he’s willing to share those settings for a price? The g4 is the superior tv, qd-oled has a major flaw. They lose brightness quickly over time. The color difference is minimal and only going to be relevant in certain scenes. The lack of quality control and picture quality on Samsung offsets any color advantage. I do agree it’s a better value for the money. If you’re going with a flagship, I would get the g4 or a95l. I picked the g4 77. I think the 65 a95l may have been a better choice. Or the 77 s90d. This whole idea about qd-oled being newer and better is ridiculous though. It’s inferior in many way.
I saw in another video of yours that said sdr is better than hdr. I tried your sdr and hdr settings for the S95D, and while the hdr settings look great, the sdr just looks so dim and the colors look dull. Im using an apple tv 4k in sdr mode with content matching on.
To me it looks like every shot in this comparison that has a dark background the S90D really does pop more than the G4, however whenever there are brighter images and whites in the shots there is a purplish hue in all the white areas whereas the G4 is maintaining the colour white nicely without looking washed out in the other colours. Based on this I would choose the G4 as it looks very nice and with your settings it has plenty of pop in its own right and I’d say even more so if it wasn’t sitting next to a tv with such high saturation. Also there are no human faces in this video to see how the representation of skin tones compares as that is one of the hardest things to get right when you add a lot of colour in your calibrations. I could be wrong but I’d suspect with these settings the S90D would look a bit over saturated with skin tones in brighter images while the G4 would maintain a more naturalistic look while still having enough pop. But as you say it is a matter of personal preference and I do like your videos being someone who doesn’t have a personal stake in whether someone buys a particular tv or not.
Lmfao dawg are your eyes ok? He’s literally proving his point. If you wanna pay 500-700 bucks more for a TV that’s only better in some ways and worse in others then that’s all you.
Why does the s90d have a purple hue to it?. For example the mountains look purple on the sammy and the lg looks white like real moutains. Im not an lg fan boy, i just bought a s90d. So, yea.
The processor on the Samsung is muuuuch weaker. From my personal experience the G4 has been the better TV, I also just hate how Samsungs OS works. Great screen, awful user experience.

I so badly wish Samsung had DTS support. It's a little bit of a deal breaker for me that they're not... Love my Blu rays :/
I just bought the s90d. I finally went oled from my QN90a. My biggest complaint is ABL. I bought this tv for gaming mostly. When I play a game that has bright areas like snow or just open bright areas it dims way down killing the picture. Please help
Would you then suggest to get a qled instead?
I saw both TVS in store today in person, and the Samsung S90D and S95D had REALY REALY grey blacklevels, where the LG G4 and C4 had actually black ones... did they configure the screens wrong? Or does the technology realy handle some ambient light this badly?
I love my new s90d for sure
Hi Quantum, when do you think you’ll release your gaming picture settings for the S90D?
Here is my dilemma. I can get the 77 inch G4 cheaper then I could get the S90d
I have the G4 but I have to return it because the speakers are messed up and I think something wrong with the panel. So I have another g4 coming Saturday unless I pay the extra money for the s90d
Keep the G4. In Canada LG G4 is $2000 more than S90D.
5:14 the windmills are kind of pink on the Samsung
I know this has nothing to do with the video but:
Should i get the qn90c or the s90c😅 i can get them for the same price at my local store
S90c over led for sure
@@Quantum_TV thanks for the answer my guy
I'm considering between these two at the 83 inch size, but most info I find seems to claim the S90D 83 inch is NOT QD-OLED is that true?
Yo Quantum, can you let us know what firmware your on currently for the 90d and if your settings are still current?
I would like to have your opinion. I ordered the s90d but everyone is saying on reddit they would rather get an Hisense H9N because of the amazing brightness. What do you think ?
Just wondering why the whites in S90D appear purplish and not true white like the G4? Is it because of the QTV setting or comes with the tv? No punt intented just pure question from my viewing perception. Thank you
The camera adds to some of that. They seem to be turned warmer though. Not a fan of the purple clouds myself but I would think it would be adjustable in the settings.
The upscaling and sharpening are superior on LG TVs compared to Samsung. Everything else is better on Samsung, especially colors.
In europe we might as well just get a G4 because samsung is playing their dirty game saying all S90D woled with only 65" can be either one. It's a lottery im not willing to gamble on.
Black levels high on the lg g4
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
A like from my side just for respecting us in the first 10 seconds of the video
😁👍
S90d or C4? Any good arguments for buying one over the other?
Bro I need settings for frame TV do you have that on your membership both sdr and hdr
S90D has a beautiful Game HDR. Rtings classified as 9.3 and G4 as 9.2
9.3 und 9.4 ist doch kein Unterschied
@@mr.y1965 cant understand
How about this. I can get the G4 77" for 3250 dollars in my country, no a discount, but the S90 or S95D still cost 4,5k or higher. How about that. You would still go for the QD-OLED?
How to calibrate the s90d?
I only see purple/violet color where there should be white or blue on the samsung.... i will check them both in real life but if smasung looks like that the choice will be easy... also the price are almost the same in NL
LG G3 vs Samsung Q90D recommendation?
I'm assuming you mean S90D? I've owned the S95B and now the G3, and I'd go for a S90D personally. Main reason is gaming, Lg has way too many limitations in gaming, like locking peak brightness and disabling processing. If all I watched were movies... I'd go Lg, as I think they have better motion and color accuracy, along with Dts x support and Dolby vision.
Hi, booked a S90D 48 inch for 1100 USD with 5 year warranty here in India... Is it a good deal bro ?
@@inkedia how did you got 5 years of warranty in India ? Since it has only 2 years with the brand
@ 2+1 years by Samsung and extended 2 years by another company !
@@inkedia may I know the cost of extended warranty for 2 years bro
@@inkedia I'm looking for S90d vs Lg C4 and finally also I'm going to book S90d so many I know is that worth booking S90D over C4 and how was your xperience of yours pls share Thanks 👍
Bessere Preis, Verarbeitung, guter Halter inclusive, bessere Software, Dolby Vision.
Meine Zimmer ist 40m², Entfernung 5,5-7,5m, mein aktueller TV...65" Plasma vom Panasonic.
I'm waiting on a sale for s95,90d 77' which one on sale first I'll get it.
S95 mit seinem katastrophalen matten Panel
So I found a deal where the G4 is only $400 more than the S90D.would you still go s90d?
Better color isnt an automatic winner. Theres a lot lore that goes into a tv. Saying woled is outdated is crazy
It's literally old technology from 2013.....it is outdated by 11yrs bro
I don't use apple tv. That said brightness isn't lowered so if its dim, you might have energy saving on.
What's this I hear about S90D being WOLED instead of QD OLED sir?
This guy hates LG for a living
He loves his C1.
So, yea.
Wish the 77 s90d in Europe wasn't woled 😢
I just got the qm7 can you review it
Man, you ain’t no joke.
The processor on the Samsung is muuuuch weaker. From my personal experience the G4 has been the better TV, I also just hate how Samsungs OS works. Great screen, awful user experience.
The S90D is making all of the whites look pink. Pink clouds!
Yeah everything white looks red
Your alternative is blue or green clouds. All tvs favorite a primary color in hue
@@Quantum_TV but the G4 clouds looked white.
@@Quantum_TV honestly how is the brightness and processing compared to lg. will it be brighter than g3 or about the same?
Anti reflective screen comparison?

I just bought a S90D 77 in. for $2000 and with mount and mount install and tax $2460. STEAL!!! C4 is $1999.99 for 77 in. I call this a win.
HI! Please help me understand, you have to buy an OLED QUANTUM DOT TV, but I don't understand what I have to buy: if I enter the Amazon product page for the S90D I don't find any reference to the wording "quantum dot" or "quantum matrix" as in QLED , I only find: "Samsung OLED TV 65" QE65S90DAEXZT, OLED HDR+, AI 4K Upscaling, NQ4 AI GEN2 Processor". I therefore ask you: can I go ahead and buy this S90D model because it is still QDOT technology, or there are also S90Ds without Quantum technology ? The S95C also contains the abbreviation QUANTUM in the description, unlike the S90D, but maybe it's a mistake. HELP ME I DON'T UNDERSTAND, thanks!!
After the TV arrives I will join so you can help me set it up !!!
S95C 77 for 3K or the S90d 77 for $2600?!
Hi Quantum, I just got my s90d. Should I hook up the internet to upgrade it once or should I leave it?
I am on Software version T-PTMDAKUC-1039.4, F03B2400, BT-S
Thanks!
even (my opinion) the u8n is better than c4 and the green issue is not funny, i dont know g4 in live
Why does the whites lookd purple on S90D and white on C4
It been a while since i been here 😊
