Brilliant, thank you. Ditto the comment from Avery Rose Show. I love to journal Scripture and I'm in the process of making a small art journal with the theme Psalm 119. Blessings. X.
I will be trying this, had not thought of mixing glue with coffee, love the effect. I have made faux papers before and find that the plastic tablecloths you get from Dollar Tree help keep the shiny effect down quite a bit, and glued items do not stick.
I’m so glad your channel was suggested, so I’m a new subbie! This is such a great idea and I look forward to trying it for my journal. It’s always nice to follow people of Faith! ✝️😊🌸
😮I noticed. that you didn't mention that one can actually see on this paper project " wow" how cool is that🤗😌👍hey thank you for your share , truely beautiful work.👩🐕💞
These turned out great. Thank you for sharing the precise directions. I had to read your name twice..... love it and love the sentiments you have. Yay!!! Remain blessed!😇🌿🌹🙏
What a fun looking project and easy enough for even me to do🙂. Will definitely be trying this tomorrow. Great tutorial!! Thank you and blessings from Betty in Ohio.
I wonder if you put a piece of plastic on top of the tracing paper after applying the glue/coffee combo if both sides would be shiny. . 🤔 I may have to give a try. Thanks for sharing! 🙏❤️⚘️
What else can you make with the napkins besides envelopes. Follows your flus technique on napkins, turned out very nice. Can I do this with cotton cloth.
Thanks so much! Here are a couple of other videos where I make similar bags: ruclips.net/video/Wp7sGYI-PIk/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/kwJoi9eQjUE/видео.html. Hope that helps!
Love the look using coffee. Your bags are so cute. I think I'll be making some as I need little bags for gifting jewelry. Thank you for sharing. P.S. I just subscribed. ☺️ Blessings ❤️
I have a question. If I bought a shower curtain liner (dollar store or cheap) if I cut it into sections would that work for the foundation or background to apply the gluing process?
It might work. I would make sure it was really smooth and shiny so glue would not stick to it. Some other options, cereal box liner, plastic shelf liner, roll of vinyl shelf liner. Try a bit of glue on surface, wait overnight then see if it comes off easily. If it does, you are good to go!
Such a great idea!! Thank you so much for sharing! Glad I found your channel!! Love your name too! I'm currently working on a verse book for my mom and I have some bible verse snippets and prints I made and these would be great for pockets on one of the pages!! Do you accept mailings? I have tons I can share!! Thank you again!
Thanks so much! Sure, I’d be happy to receive some of your goodies. I am in Canada though so postage can be pricey. 55222 RR 233 Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada T8L 5B9. Thanks! Would love to see your project when it’s complete too!
I bet it would. I like the idea of making several "rice papers" at once since it's a bit messy, so you might want several "foundations". Someone else mentioned a cheap shower curtain cut up, or a couple other things I thought of or heard somewhere - vinyl rolls at $ store, plastic tablecloth, cereal box lines, painters plastic dropcloth, butcher paper. Experiment with what you have lying around. 😃
Can’t wait to try this! I’ve never seen ‘real’ rice paper. Can you tell me if it has a shiny side as well or is it Matt on both sides? Great video, thanks ❤️
I've never seen "real" rice paper either. Google says this "It's actually a rough side and smooth side. You print on the smooth one. On thinner rice paper, both sides may appear to be shiny."
Many of the $ stores carry pads of tracing paper. I also have a roll of dressmaker tracing paper, so if you wanted a TON of it, check the fabric stores.
When I make cards, I often add a piece or two of a dimensional product to add interest. I’ll often use ribbon, bling, embossed card stock etc. You could cut this rice paper into strips and use that as a piece of dimension on the front of a card.
I’m not too sure about mod podge. Whenever I’ve used mod lodge in the past it stays a little bit tacky even years later so in something very delicate it might stick to itself and kind of make a mess. You could try it if you like. I would add more water though as mod podge is thicker. But really I think it would be better just to use some cheap white glue and water.
U all are only enjoying the paper voice why dont u all the how we use it in which way i know its cruncy plz must be tell what is purpose for decore and which thing is good for apply
Thanks for your comment. I do enjoy using these things in my junk journal and have several videos where I show how to use these pieces I make. Thanks for watching!❤️
These are all awesome! Thanks for showing how to do it.

Oooo, I love Psalm 119 - I've started to study it a few times, but sadly never made it thru. It's such an amazing psalm.

That's a great idea to use something a bit textured but non-stick. I will try that next time. Thanks!

Love the title of your craft creations. Can one do this with cotton fabric or muslin maybe
I haven’t tried it, but go ahead and experiment! It will make the fabric stiff.

If the fabric turns stiff maybe one can make envelopes or reusable bags
I haven't tried fabric, but give it a try and see how it turns out!
I wonder if using a silicone mat would work
I bet it would. I like the idea of making several "rice papers" at once since it's a bit messy, so you might want several "foundations". Rice paper is a strong rather fibrous paper usually with images printed on them much stronger than découpage/napkin paper

But when it gets dried , didn’t get glued to the plastic surface?
No, as long as you use a smooth, shiny plastic, it comes right off. Don’t use something like wax paper which would stick.
Can you use modpodge instead of glue and water?
I’m not too sure about mod podge. Whenever I’ve used mod lodge in the past it stays a little bit tacky even years later so in something very delicate it might stick to itself and kind of make a mess. You could try it if you like. I would add more water though as mod podge is thicker. But really I think it would be better just to use some cheap white glue and water.
What is the white bar down the middle of your surface?
Hi, it’s just the middle part of the photo sleeve plastic that I’m using to contain the mess from my project.
how did youmake the rooster paper ? x
It was actually just a paper napkin that I did the same glue/water treatment on.
