These papers and your cards are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing these techniques. I have missed your longer videos so this one was a real treat.
thanks💖wow that's so nice of you, I was a bit hesitant to share a longer video, but there was just so much to tell about these papers, I was having loads of fun😁💕
@@GerrysCraftRoom Although I prefer short videos because of an aging attention span (!!), I love all the content. I can always stop in the middle and start again after a nap (me laughing!!!).
Who knew the first video I watch is exactly what I needed. I usually feel like I need to watch more. You began your video by saying just like how I feel. And,you explained everything in every way possible. I have found rice paper I like but I didn’t know what to do with them. Now all I need is a few more supplies, watch your videos again, and I’m good. Thank you for sharing your time and talent for which you have so much more than I. Way, way, way across the pond. Wow!! What an introduction to your channel. I am IN LOVE with the last card you created using the dragonfly rice paper. Gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing. I need to buy some rice paper and pixie dust now. 😁😁😁
Cool, so glad you found me, if you like the Pixie Powder, make sure to check out this one: ruclips.net/video/Yw8rtDiCtOQ/видео.html loads more techniques to try😉
WOW!!! Gerry!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! I have some rice paper but have not used it yet!! But I will now with your awesome ideas!!! Take care my friend!!!
Oh my. The dragonfly with your doodling and splatters wants to come and live with me! That is exquisite, Gerry! (We have dragonflies and damselflies here around a tiny lake. I put skinny bamboo gardening stakes in the ground for them to land on and rest.) 💕
Gerry, All your videos are excellent.I’ve learned so much from them. Thanks for all your tips. I certainly love the idea of using crackle paste with light gesso over it. Love the phrase- “micro crafting.” That’s what we do!
This is a great video! We sell that same kind of rice paper because it's my favorite too! I love how it looks when you tear the edges. Your cards are beautiful!
Very beautiful cards. You are amazing. Thank you so very much for sharing your time and talent with all us fellow crafters. You have given me lots of ideas I want to try. GOD BLESS❤❤❤
Ya-hoo!!! You are now one of my favorites to watch on u-tube. I' so glad that I found you, thanks to Arydth. I do like rice paper and with all of your hacks I can enjoy it more. Thank you.
You are so knowledgeable. And thats a gift from God. I learned a few things about blending tools, texture paste and Pixie powder? Oh my never knew pixie dust ever existed. Thank you so much, I love learning. And your sweet spirit just makes it so much nicer.
Oh, Gerry, thank you so much for this video. I've been looking at all the beautiful rice papers that are available and wondering how to use them for cardmaking. You have absolutely perfect timing!!
Wow. This is one of the first times I have seen rice paper available easily in America when a video came on about it. I went ahead and ordered. I have always wanted to try some recently. I appreciate the shipping was low as well just a little over $3 for shipping. $30 total to get two sets of rice paper designs. Thanks for the link for the rice paper.
I made sure they were available, as it's such a bummer if you like them and they are all out of them. Joggles is a lovely company and thanks for using my link💕 Enjoy your rice papers!
Hello Gerry, I'm having my first adventures with rice paper and adoring the stuff, it's such a combination of fragile and strong and really makes colours go "pop"! You've used it truly beautifully here and thank you very much for all your tips and inspiration. I especially like the way you have feathered the edges and shown how to preserve that featheriness with the medium, I didn't think that was possible. :)
These cards are absolutely stunning. I’m in awe of all the small cute touches you did and the end result was incredible. I’ve used rice paper in the past but nothing like this. Thank you 😊
Wow! I love these cards. I kept meaning to pick up those rice papers from Joggles, but my memory runs off on its own sometimes. Thanks for sharing about adding them to cards instead of just art journals. I have a few that I will work on this technique with, but I’m going to pick up the ones by Joggles too. I just love dragonflies...well, I love looking at them. I don’t actually enjoy anything with the word “fly” in it unless it involves an airplane and a vacation! Love the cards! Love your channel! Love your enthusiasm! God bless!
Love your videos. You share such innovative techniques. The rice paper techniques are so helpful. I have some rice paper and have been hesitant to work with it. THANKS!
Thank you so much for showing a different technique for me in card making.l would never have thought to use rice paper in that way.your cards are absolutely lovely.
Hi Gerry, I love the last card, while you were putting on the paint on the back ground, I was thinking you should paint the wings, and at the end you did that and it pops so much nicer, TFS, Cheers Anna.
Love all these ideas. I actually just bought this set of rice paper from Joggles and this will help me get started with it. Your cards all turned out beautifully!
I love these cards! I am not kidding I just love them! I have rice paper, as I said, tons of it. I also have a dragonfly stamp and just got some media type stamps for the background like you have and when I can , I am going to try to make a similar card. They say that copying is a great form of flattery! These are just great Gerry! GREAT! I am not actually a fan of butterflies as much as dragon and that gesso technique with dry brushing was great!
These are absolutely beautiful and you made it look so easy! I didn't know how to use rice papers so thank you for explaining everything so clearly. Those papers are so pretty.
Back in 2003 when I started stamping I used rice paper all the time! But as a background layer. Tearing by wetting and it gave a cool texture. But I never tried using printed and there wasn't any around then. I really liked it and when I started stamping again I tried to find it in just plain colors and it was very difficult to find . I was only able to get it at the craft show and I loaded up. But now it sits there! hahaha. I'll have to start stamping on it. You can even emboss on it. If I remember correctly.
