I have to say that your video is just the best I've seen on this rice paper! You get quick and to the point, while giving enough details to the process. I love the crinkle of this paper. Thnku. 😊
Beautiful, I found this in Pinterest. After my current projects are done (Christmas time) I will give this a go. I can’t stand the smell of coffee but tea should work too, don’t you think. I’ll need some other spices. Thank you for sharing. What a great idea and simple project. Have a great weekend, day. Smiles across the miles.
😍 So beautiful, thank you for sharing, I found you in Pinterest and am so grateful to see such people like you teaching their art to us, again thank you 🌹💚💙🌱🌳🙏
Fabulous!!!! I loved your tutorial, thank you.❤I am going to love making these, especially for our 50th anniversary gifts at the table! But i craft in paper and sew, this will e used lots....
Wow, thank you so much for this stunning technique - it is beautiful and so very, very handy! You are a super clever lady and I am so glad that I found you! xxxxx
Finally got me napkins and will be getting this project started. Thank you so much. Fell in love with this from I first see it months and months ago. X
Love it. You're very concise & don't waste time 😊. I love the gloss after u pull it off. Makes me wonder how it would go if I apply it to a window? I may try it on a small one like a washroom window (for privacy)? 😊
Hi Kim, I just found your channel through Pinterest! I've seen the rice paper before, but always love to see others take on things. I never saw coffee or spices added though! Billiant idea, and why I like to watch others do the same things, to learn different ways to do something! I love the bottle you showed, with the rice paper tag. I've saved up several wine bottles and think I'll try that. Did you make a tutorial on the bottle itself too? I've subscribed, so will go and check your other videos, and thank you!
omgoodness LOVE THIS .. I am going to try this .... gives me some ideas for tags .. I just joined your channel ... just found it! love all your project ideas.
Hi. I have the same question. The sheets are pretty but, I can't see the advantage of using this "rice paper" instead of just the napkin, when decoupaging. I use straight napkins that have the extra sheet or sheets removed. I paint my item with 1/2 Elmers glue & 1/2 water = "My Podge", place the napkin on top of "My Podge" and smooth it out, then immediately paint on another layer, let it dry, then paint at least 1 more layer of "My Podge". If I'm covering a table top or trinket box or anything that will be picked up or handled, I always repeat with 2 more a layers of "My Podge" allowing the layers to dry each time. Anyways....I probably missed something, not trying to be negative, but it seems to me this is a process I could skip, maybe I'm wrong. I'm a little skeptical about using this technique for gift tags as well, because of the material being translucent, it's difficult to read. I did enjoy this video, I love anything crafty and love to learn new techniques. I'm sure if I saw this in full swing, more than just the bottle, I would know what to do with this new found technique. I subscribed to this channel today. Thanks for the video. Best Wishes from Dallas, Texas USA ♥️
I found a soft bristle brush worked better than one with stiffer bristles or a sponge brush. Thanks for the tutorial! Loved your idea of adding spices so I added cinnamon and used instant tea instead of coffee. Not much cinnamon scent came through so I will add more next time. And I will try coffee next time!
Hi Kim, I'm new to your channel and I'm so glad I scrolled across your beautiful crafts. Love the faux rice paper method. I have a lot of beautiful napkins and would love to try this method to use for hang tags. 😊 Thank you. I would love to view your older videos.
I tried this and my napkins stuck to the plastic and was totally sealed and would not lift off at all. I did it exactly as you did, except I did not add the coffee. I did it 3 times and each time it adhered to the plastic. I did it on a piece of clear plastic vinyl. What could I have done wrong ?
Hi Linda. Sorry you are having trouble with it. Since you did not use coffee maybe add some water since the coffee does thin it out a bit. Maybe try a different plastic. I was using the kind of plastic you use to wrap gift baskets with. Hope this helps ~ Kim
Thank you great cause I can't find rice paper but this is great.im subscribing I don't do f.book but plain sheet looks like frosted velium thank you uk

That’s my problem too😥 did I make it too thin or too thick. I’ll try again using thicker for one and thinner for another and see how that goes 🤞 😜
If it works that is awesome tyfs

I wonder if these can be used to make lampshades?
What did you use for the thick plastic sheet underneath it? Thx!
Can the finished product be used for decoupage applications
Lovely tutorial ❤, but can we use it for decopage ?
How beautiful!! It caught my eye on pintrest & I had to subscribe!! Thank you!! Have you tried it with book pages, or are they too thick?❤
Hi Wendy! Welcome. They are perfect for junk journal pages!! They look so pretty in them!
I believe what the question was, is 'have you tried to make faux rice paper with book pages?"
@@jaedtobey791 I am sorry. I read question wrong. sorry for the confusion. Yes, the book pages would be to thick.
This is an awesome video! I just found it. Do you think parchment paper will work in place of the plastic?
Hello. I have never tried it, but I don't think so. I think it would stick to it.Hope this helps you. Thank you for joining me.
Love this, thank you for sharing. My question is do you have to use the coffee? Is it just for the color?
Hi thanks for joining me . You can omit the coffee. it just gives it a aged look. you can just add plain water.
How much water would you use?
I see you used the Mod Podge for Fabric with the blue label. Is that the preferred glue, or can you use any Mod Podge?
You can use any kind. That is just what I had on hand. Thank you for joining me! ~ Kim

Hi Rhonda. Thank You for joining me. Here is the link of the plastic I used. Happy creating! amzn.to/3QXCTH2

What plastic are you using and where to get it? What other types of plastic can be used? Love, love this and your video is fantastic?
Thank You Marilyn. Here is the link to the plastic I used in the video. I have heard people using shower curtain liners also LOL! amzn.to/3vKabBh

Is the coffee for antiquing them and a nice smell or something else? 😅
Just for the Antiquing effect and nice smell! Welcome
Hi and how do you apply on wood
Beautiful work, excellent tutorial, thank you!
Could you show us where you applied them?
Do they work for decoupage?
Hi Helen. I will post one soon using them. They are great for scrapbooking pages, tags and other home decor projects😄

Do you have to put water with the coffee or just us the grounds? Thank you 😊
