Jaguar X-type remote locking not working - key fob repair

Sometimes, Jaguar X-type remote is not working properly and you have to do something with that.
I have repaired the key fob of my X-type some 5 or 6 years ago and it is still working without any issues. I share to you my experience about Jaguar X-type key fob repair and it is not so difficult to do in most cases. Specially for Jaguar drivers I split one button of the key fob and found out that there is nothing to be repaired inside, unless the button is completely spoiled with moisture.
Besides, this video will show you how to change battery in Jaguar X-type key fob. You will get some tips how to split the fob without breaking it, which is very important during the Jaguar X-type key fob battery replacement and you will see what type of battery is the key fob equipped with.
The keyfob of the majority of Jaguars early 2000 generation models is one and the same, so this video may be used also as a manual for Jaguar S-type key battery replacement and Jaguar XJ key fob battery replacement.

Thanks for the video! I bought a key fob repair set (= 4 buttons, a battery and a key mat) and replaced the upper buttons, because they were flat. I cleaned the PCB and the housing with electronic cleaner. Now the key fob is working fine again!
