As a black man, I can say that Amanda lost me completely with the "lowkey noble" comment...the Jussie Smollet situation isn't just about calling the police for no reason. An entire investigation was launched which received national attention and cost the city of Chicago thousands of dollars per day over the course of several weeks. And people were hurt. As Jeannie rightly pointed out, this hoax will make it that much harder for real victims of real hate crimes to come forward and be taken seriously. Why? Because every person - famous or not - who lies about being a victim is going to ultimately become yet another example of why real victims shouldnt be believed. People can now say "why should i believe you, when there are Jussie Smollets out there that lied about the same thing". I'm not saying Jussie is the only one. Yes there are other white examples. But why on earth does that mean we have to give Jussie a pass? Just because he is black? That's illogical. Krystal as a Hispanic myself, I can tell you that no, we do not side with the white people “all the time” we support other minorities groups because we go through similar struggles, and discrimination as them. I understand that African American history is different than Hispanic history in this country, but If you study the civil movement and the right to vote you will find a lot of similarities for Hispanics and African Americans. I like that racism is being called out in this show, and that all the hosts are representatives or different cultures, background, experience and communities, but the difference is that Adriane, and Jeanie do not make everything a racial issue... yes I love the show but I’m kinda over Amanda always making everything about the black community where there are so many others being racially profiled too, where there are people dying in detention centers for being Hispanic, where there are people being yelled at for not speaking Spanish. Maybe if there was a more balance on the topics and if the show touch different ethnicities struggles and problems and not just the black community it will make the show better.

Most of these people work normal 9-5 jobs and you honestly wouldn't even be able to tell they had an addiction of any kind unless they were to tell you. So this whole narrative regarding the "big scary addict who would stop at nothing to get their fix and harms people while under the influence" is so played out primarily based on the fact that it unfairly stereotypes those suffering from addiction; which in turns makes that individual feel embarrassed and afraid to go out and ask for help or treatment. Try to approach learning about the biggest issues of systemic discrimination in your country, with an open mind. There is room for passion and interest - it starts with you! As a black man, I can say that Amanda lost me completely with the "lowkey noble" comment...the Jussie Smollet situation isn't just about calling the police for no reason. An entire investigation was launched which received national attention and cost the city of Chicago thousands of dollars per day over the course of several weeks. And people were hurt. As Jeannie rightly pointed out, this hoax will make it that much harder for real victims of real hate crimes to come forward and be taken seriously. Why? Because every person - famous or not - who lies about being a victim is going to ultimately become yet another example of why real victims shouldnt be believed. I think we need to address the issue here that Loni and Amanda don't want to accept that black people can be wrong and need to be checked sometimes. I've seen this over several different episodes and topics. Krystal as a Hispanic myself, I can tell you that no, we do not side with the white people “all the time” we support other minorities groups because we go through similar struggles, and discrimination as them. I understand that African American history is different than Hispanic history in this country, but If you study the civil movement and the right to vote you will find a lot of similarities for Hispanics and African Americans. I like that racism is being called out in this show, and that all the hosts are representatives or different cultures, background, experience and communities, but the difference is that Adriane, and Jeanie do not make everything a racial issue... yes I love the show but I’m kinda over Amanda always making everything about the black community where there are so many others being racially profiled too, where there are people dying in detention centers for being Hispanic, where there are people being yelled at for not speaking Spanish. Maybe if there was a more balance on the topics and if the show touch different ethnicities struggles and problems and not just the black community it will make the show better.

This show used to be my escape at the end of the day. The conversations are so hostile now.
I feel like they are discussing perspectives and issues that affect my life as a black woman everyday. I feel passion release and freedom when Amanda and Loni speak. It feels freeing - like I can relax cause my life experiences and realities aren't hushed away in a corner.
Try to approach learning about the biggest issues of systemic discrimination in your country, with an open mind. There is room for passion and interest - it starts with you!
Also they DO have fun convos and serious ones, just like before in my opinion. The serious convos discuss inclusion more now. So get involved!
