Lots of girls can list what they hate about themselves rather than what they love. When you hate things you don't appreciate when people compliment you on those things because you don't believe it's TRUE. But when you love things about yourself you will take compliments differently.
So she was saying Tamera use to hate parts of herself and now she's starting to love those parts because she improved her habits and thinking so she behaves better and her way of showing she likes herself more changed the way she portrays herself.
