i’m 3+ years on RUclips and have not reached 4 k watch time, yet I’m still here. Keep going, guys, don’t give up! Best wishes to all the small channels out Let’s go!
A lot of people think monetization will be a life saver. It's not. EVERY video has to be a banger. You could make $400 off one video and the next 3 make .75 cents. This means, you can't make the videos you want to make. You constantly/consistently have to make videos that viewers want to see, which are usually ones you don't care to make. Another caveat is, YT will throttle your videos, and you'll find yourself making around the same $$$ every month. Doesn't matter if you make 1 video a week or 4. Bottom line, make sure you're making videos because you enjoy making content and let the chips fall where they may. Otherwise, you might find yourself stressed and miserable as if you're working a 9-5 that you hate but with much longer hours.
@@vidIQ Hey man, explain something to me, please. There are a lot of youtubers that have more than 300'000.00 subscribers and when they post a new video, in the long run, that video makes like 1000-2000 views maximum. If the views came only from the existing subscribers, that would mean that less than 1% of them are constantly engaging in new videos. How is that even possible to have that big of a subscriber number (more than 300k) and have that low of an engagement from them? The only logical explanation for me is either the subscribers do not receive notifications regarding new videos, or they are paid subscribers only to subscribe and raise the number to high values (more than 300k in our example), or both. There is another dude that has like 800k subscribers but barely makes 500 views in the long run with each video he posts. What to you think?

I've been trying to get my channel monetized for years, my problem is I work on it for a little bit and then I give up and move onto something else that works faster to make me money. I've been working online since 1997. I had more than 5 online businesses that I started from scratch. One I sold for $50K another for $30K and the others less. BUT it's been an awesome journey. Now, I've semi-retired and I intend to focus on helping others to achieve the success that I did. ;-)
