RUclips can be very disheartening and knock you down when you videos flop and constantly make 10/10’s but I am leaving this comment here so that after some hours, days, weeks, months or years when someone likes or comment on it, I will be reminded to thank myself for NEVER GIVING UP!
I've been saying to never give up for two years. A few weeks back I did in fact give up... If your niche just happens to not be the exact same thing the algorithm now loves you will never grow... No matter consistency, quality of your content or even audience engagement... My audience engagement is amazing and has been for well over a year, resulting in many subs, despite the video's hardly showing up to anyone... The result is 2.6K subs, yet not even half-way the first tier of monetization... Stuck at 1400 watch hours for a year now and it's not changing. Every single video just flops... Even the ones that had a 30% clickrate and 70-80% AVD for a long time!
@@bbreak its most probably because your making videos in dutch or the non-english language u r using, make videos in english, and put dutch subtitles if u want
@El_Kenshi our language limits the target audience. However, making real life vlogs in English while living in a non-English country is really, really weird. You can't expect everyone around you to also speak English, so it would become an annoying mix of Dutch and English, not comfortable to listen to for anyone. Besides the audience engagement is better with the Dutch audience if the vlogs are Dutch and there's still a potential audience of 1-2 million people, besides us offering full English subtitles (we actually have quite a few subs who don't speak Dutch!). Either way, we quit. So thanks for the advice, but we're not putting any effort into this mission impossible anymore (except occasionally just for the fun of it).

Same happened to me with my shorts. Look at my channel I was hitting up to 1.3 thousand views each video and then YT pulled the plug, dropped down to 3 or 4 views each even after 48 hours and those I took private. I have decided to stop all long form and concentrate on shorts. All my subs so far generated from shorts when those views were coming in. If YT would not have pulled the plug I could had been monetized in 6 months. Now that’s projected out to two plus years. I was going to quit and I’ve gotten a dozen emails to me saying do not quit this niche. Just grind away.
@@marlenelandstravels Yeah it’s like YT is suppressing small channels. My video from yesterday plus three other channels I saw they posted all at different times. All of our views are down by 95% on these vids and we all have different niche, all under 100 subscribers. If these huge content creators that have been doing this for 16 plus years decide they’ve had enough, YT is going to be up the creek without a paddle because they will lose ad revenue with small channels suppressed.
vidIQ has being my backbone. My channel has being gaining hundreds of thousands of views in short form content within the past 4 days. Thank you vidIQ ❤

The rich are money-minded; that's a lesson I've grasped from the very beginning. My desire to build wealth has always been strong. I’ve set aside $160K since 2020, and I’m eager to invest it in the stock market to grow my financial future. I’d love to hear any recommendations you have.
I think the safest strategy is to diversify investments. But if you need proper advice, consider speaking with a financial expertise. Don't get me wrong, you can do it on your own, but financial advisors have a lot more knowledge and expertise in this area.
You are completely right, Advisors have information and paths that are not disclosed to the public.. I profited $560k in 2022 under the tutelage of my Fiduciary-counselor. Am I selling? Absolutely not.. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out.
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Teresa L. Athas’’ for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
This was so inspirational. My niche is self-improvement, motivation, self-love and self-care. I am not getting much views. I have 367 subscribers. I watch vidIQ videos and videos of other content creators. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Great tips! I was making more videos but am making one video per week at present.
Wow! Her video is actually what motivated my bride and me to start our channel. I am glad to see her get some recognition. Awesome! of all the millions of videos out there she passed both of our paths.
It took me nearly a year to get monetized since I upload short animations, making 4000 hours tough. I didn't mind though, as I love building a community. Monetization is just a bonus that might allow me to go full-time someday :)
Learned a bit about this and still learning so I can evolve and grow my channel and reach. I appreciate these kinds of informative videos that remind us to be more thoughtful. Thanks!
If you spend time watching Jen's videos and get to know her, you'll quickly see she is far from ‘ordinary’. Her success on RUclips is backed by her personality and life attitude.
I have 583 videos only have 443 subs. I still have a long way to go to get monetized and like I said before I have now been doing this for almost 8 goddamn years.
I have a RUclips channel that only posted about 11 videos and has about 600+ subscribers. I ran another channel and earned 150+ subs from just one video. What has this experience proven? It is a skill, a trainable muscle. Even the best videos can be improved.
Thank you for all this information. I will come back to watch it again to learn more. I follow back to all my followers and watch their videos and see what I can learn from them and help my channel monetize soon.

Been consistently making videos every day for about 3 months now and finally starting to see slight progress. It’s a grind for sure. If you are reading this I wish you and your channel all the success in the world 😊
My niche is very small and doesn't get a lot of views and I'm okay with that. All I want to do with my channel is to create content that adds value and I'm passionate about my subject. I have only uploaded one video but I am in the process of creating the next 8 videos. I plan to release 5 of these at the same time and then 2 videos a week after that. Here's hoping I find my audience. Good luck everyone.
Strategy 1: Be Consistent, Upload at least one video per week Strategy 2: Figuring out your niche, Go for a niche in which you're most interested in and keen for learning Strategy 3: Watch your competitors. Make sure you stay updated seeing your competitors and figuring out what's going viral Strategy 4: Your first 10-20 videos will suck and not perform as expected. Improvement is the key here Strategy 5: Learn, Learn and Learn. Editing, Writing, Designing are basic skills required to master RUclips Strategy 6: You don't need expensive stuff to conquer youtube. Invest in yourself rather than in equipment Strategy 7: I didn't watch this, Bye
There's definitely a lot I personally can relate to here. I had a big drop-off in pretty much everything just a couple of weeks ago. Everything was going great and then... nothing. I was at that point where I could've just given up but as I enjoy what I do I decided to try and push through it. It took some time but my latest video got six times the views of my previous one. Still not as high as the usual 1000+ views I was getting and my Subscriber numbers haven't seen as big an uptick but I'm definitely doing better and hoping this is going to see a return to the performance I was reaching. On the subject of the ''viral moment'' and learning from it, given my breakout moment was a video called ''Naked for You'' (which despite sounding a bit like clickbait is actually a tender power ballad about allowing yourself to be vulnerable) got 48k views, mostly from 65+ year old men in India, I'm wondering if I'm on the right video streaming platform... ;)
My first 4 weeks i got 1000 subs and my second month isn't over yet and I'm about to hit 10,000 subs. Very good channel start for me super happy about the results.
I've had my channel for nearly 9 months now and I hit 1000 subs recently - your videos are definitely very helpful! I still have not gotten monetized as I don't have 4000 watch hours as I am primarily a shorts youtuber - but the shorts criteria is quite high. Anyone have any advice?
Thanks for featuring Jen @silverandsolo - I stumbled on her channel and subscribed cuz I like the simplicity and straightforward content. Walking thru her steps on this channel is genius.
Hey really love your videos and your tips are really helpful! I did as you said and after just getting 10-20 views per video i made 2 video which both hit over 1800 views. Right now I'm trying to get into real editing software because I edited the videos with my smartphone and they're far away from the quality i want them to be. I will definitely watch more of your videos! Have a great day.
I have my channel for almost 3 years and i only posted videos this week and as of now i am not getting a lot of views, but i hope we all make it and get monetized.
I hit 4,000 watch hours yesterday and hit 1k subs. Took 1 month. Technically I hit 2k subs but Ive had this channel for years and had 838 subs. Didnt upload for 5 years and started a different niche so its funny because on the day I passed 4k watch hours I hit 1,838 subs. This morning Im over 2k subs and 7k watch hours thanks VidIQ
I always watch/listen your videos (and I just found your podcasts) while working on my channel and making videos I just finished the newest livestream :)
One of the biggest things to over come is that being consistent. With a full time job, a family and then content creation (mainly on Instagram, creating longer content (even if under 15 minutes) with more editing than a insta reel becomes a battle. Luckily I'm enjoying it and want to learn. Maybe that's the key too. But trying to find the time to make 2 videos a week, even 1 a week is really hard. My niche, is really nice. I have a food/protein disorder that effects 1 in 20,000. Those are not good watching numbers for a RUclips platform, but what I do and share helps others and there is a small but tight community there. I may not get funds from those numbers on RUclips, but I do make a difference. My next step, get a powerful computer for editing and a better camera and mic set up. I've spent the last year learning every day. Your videos help a lot!
Holy THANKS VIDIQ! Couldn't have done it without you!

I still don't understand why this happens
I agree. Now I’m losing the yearly watch time because of this. Videos are much better but Views are much lower than last year! 😢
RUclips is hard and I'm full time law enforcement but i truly hope we all make it
Yes
Amen
I fully understand working all the time then making videos, definitely a lot to keep up with, but I think ots worth it. Ill check out your channel bro.
I know at least half my videos are good..i get a few subs each release but some videos i think the thumb and stuff are nailed i get no views or subs....btw i refunded police inside virtual reality for future fun cops and robbers 2024....im a VR guy now hahaha
Law enforcement. You would hate my content lol
Thanks for the encouragement! Good luck to everyone trying to get monetized.
This is probably the best yt advise I’ve seen. Thank you
My views have gone up drastically thanks to your advice and I'm getting better every day 😊
Thank you! I always listen to your videos, and they are always helpful for my channel.😀
That's impressive! I could really use the expertise of this manager for my dwindling portfolio. Who’s the professional guiding you?
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Teresa L. Athas’’ for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
I have been enjoying Jen's channel for a while, she has terrific advice all around
Thanks!
Thank you very much for sharing tips about making content❤❤❤
If you spend time watching Jen's videos and get to know her, you'll quickly see she is far from ‘ordinary’. Her success on RUclips is backed by her personality and life attitude.
I always look forward to your tutorial because of your encouragement and reality to deal with it.
I have 583 videos only have 443 subs. I still have a long way to go to get monetized and like I said before I have now been doing this for almost 8 goddamn years.
work on your thumbnails and title
Oh this is injustice 😅
If you've been watching VidIQ, you should know why. Just the titles are atrocious.
I have a RUclips channel that only posted about 11 videos and has about 600+ subscribers. I ran another channel and earned 150+ subs from just one video. What has this experience proven? It is a skill, a trainable muscle. Even the best videos can be improved.
For more luck, be sure to listen to my nightcores!
Thank you for all this information. I will come back to watch it again to learn more. I follow back to all my followers and watch their videos and see what I can learn from them and help my channel monetize soon.
I love Jen and watched all her monetization videos.
love that you featured her, I came across her channel naturally on suggested video a 2-3 weeks ago and It was very inspirational for me to see her succes and her very easy going and very practical tips for new youtuber who watches videos like vidIQ and other big content creators which are super helpful but also at same level , discouraging as we start comparing our editing / visuals/ lighting/ story telling to these best ones! even though i dont miss a vidIQ video now! please continue featuring "ordinary" and "average" ppl who hit their goals and their strategies through their own story n success, as it helps us relate to them and this keeps us motivated!
I hit 500 today! I am chuffed! I however have low long form view times. One battle down another being fought!
Congratulations. I'm struggling to reach 500😢

Thank you Rob! I'll keep trying!
Been consistently making videos every day for about 3 months now and finally starting to see slight progress. It’s a grind for sure. If you are reading this I wish you and your channel all the success in the world 😊
Congratulations to you channel
nice video , i am understand youtube better then before thanks to you.
Awesome and wholesome content! And Rod is doing Gods work for RUclipsrs starting off.
I got monetize last week and it took 18 months and 75 videos. It only took 1 video to get me the watch hours about a month ago.
Congratulations! Great job!
@@vidIQthx! 5 days after that all my impressions dropped by 90% on the videos that were doing great. Oh well, it’s one hurdle achieved 👍.
Thank you for this really helpful video. All the comments are so positive and uplifting ❤ have the best day all.
About to hit 13k subs - that’s in part down to Learning from VidIQ videos like this and just grafting over and over again.
Hahahhahahaha that letter from the boss had me in stitches 😂😂😂 I’m THIS close to hitting the watch time hours btw, I can’t wait :)
Strategy 1: Be Consistent, Upload at least one video per week
Strategy 2: Figuring out your niche, Go for a niche in which you're most interested in and keen for learning
Strategy 3: Watch your competitors. Make sure you stay updated seeing your competitors and figuring out what's going viral
Strategy 4: Your first 10-20 videos will suck and not perform as expected. Improvement is the key here
Strategy 5: Learn, Learn and Learn. Editing, Writing, Designing are basic skills required to master RUclips
Strategy 6: You don't need expensive stuff to conquer youtube. Invest in yourself rather than in equipment
Strategy 7: I didn't watch this, Bye
There's definitely a lot I personally can relate to here. I had a big drop-off in pretty much everything just a couple of weeks ago. Everything was going great and then... nothing. I was at that point where I could've just given up but as I enjoy what I do I decided to try and push through it. It took some time but my latest video got six times the views of my previous one. Still not as high as the usual 1000+ views I was getting and my Subscriber numbers haven't seen as big an uptick but I'm definitely doing better and hoping this is going to see a return to the performance I was reaching.
On the subject of the ''viral moment'' and learning from it, given my breakout moment was a video called ''Naked for You'' (which despite sounding a bit like clickbait is actually a tender power ballad about allowing yourself to be vulnerable) got 48k views, mostly from 65+ year old men in India, I'm wondering if I'm on the right video streaming platform... ;)
Keep striving!
Just started my channel few weeks ago, hope im doing everything right 😅🙏
Just my two cents.. YOU will NOT learn anything, by doing everything right..
Thanks for this! Now I'm going to go watch all of your videos. I need LOTS Of help!
Best wishes for all new YT channels ✌️

Lol I just recommended YOU and Jen to a friend of mine while I'm working to monetize my own Living in Hope the wolf you feed channel!
Thanks for the tips VidIQ! I just started posting videos 3 days ago, and I hope to be eligible for monetization before October 🤩🙏
My first 4 weeks i got 1000 subs and my second month isn't over yet and I'm about to hit 10,000 subs. Very good channel start for me super happy about the results.
@unleashedmystery do you use an ai voice or is it yours?
Awesome guide to everyone is a big help!❤❤❤
This is helpful and reassuring! Thank you!
Very good information.
Wealth of information in this video!
Hope everything goes generously well. Best of luck to all of us 😅
I have my channel for almost 3 years and i only posted videos this week and as of now i am not getting a lot of views, but i hope we all make it and get monetized.
Thanks
I hit 4,000 watch hours yesterday and hit 1k subs. Took 1 month. Technically I hit 2k subs but Ive had this channel for years and had 838 subs. Didnt upload for 5 years and started a different niche so its funny because on the day I passed 4k watch hours I hit 1,838 subs. This morning Im over 2k subs and 7k watch hours thanks VidIQ
Thank you very much and we always follow you, good luck
I really want this to be happening with my channel 😅
Same here 😁
I always watch/listen your videos (and I just found your podcasts) while working on my channel and making videos

Thanks vid IQ I started in February now I have 469 subs on my channel with your help. At one point, though, about giving up. I'm glad I didn't.
Thank you for the video 😊 I’m not giving up 🌸🌙
