I love making these larger than mat projects! They have such an impact on where you use them and what you want to do with them! This one is probably my favorite one I have made because he is good for outdoor use year round! He is 3 feet tall! Made with corrugated plastic and permanent outdoor vinyl. His image was purchased a long time ago off Cricut Design space for $1.99 But if you want to make your own SVG of a character here is a video on how to do that! • How to make layered SV...

Ok, I have watched 3 videos on how to make an oversized image from other popular subscribers. I found yours and so grateful! You made it to be so easy with less steps to make. I am very new to Cricut and I had to tackle an oversized image for my first project. I did it! Thank You, I will be watching more of our videos!
I am so happy you were able to make your own!!! This comment just made my day!
Honestly one of the best tutorials I've seen on this
Thank you so much!
This was worth taking the time to watch thanks Corinne for sharing step by step I love ❤️ that little guy! You did a fantastic job!🥰
Love this! Definitely going to make it! Thanks for all the great hacks.
Thanks for the video. I learned a lot. I was so looking forward to see the plastic cutting.
I watch so many videos and try to do it , but with you i was able too , you explained it soo easy thank you soo much
Damn Corinne!!! That applying the vinyl hack just blew my mind!
Thank you!
Thanks for the help
Brilliant thankyou xx
Wowwww love 💕 it
Love it! Now for a melting version!
Oh my gosh that would be so cute
@@CorinneBlackstone I just haven't been able to figure it out so it isn't just flat. Can you figure it out???
@@joyscranfield5527 I would just use a piece of white plastic for the bottom to make it like he’s a puddle on the ground then have part of his body coming out of that. Attach them with e6000
his little booty...his tush! LOLOLOL
I love the information on this video. I have watched it couple of times. I am wondering if it possible for you to do a video on how you cut the plastic. I have so much of this plastic. I have tried a hot knife and find it just melted and made for very rough edges. Please any advice you can share would be greatly appreciated.
I show it in the video. I used a hot knife then I took some sand paper to the rough edges (sand paper wasn’t shown)
Thanks for the tutorial. I have. few questions, I am wondering what method did you find to be easier, the plastic board or the wood? I don't have hot knife, Do you know of another recommended way to cut the plastic board? I will be working on a Silhouette, do you If there is anything I should be aware of before I get started? Lastly, I am thinking about doing Jack Skellington from Nightmare before christmas, Do you think that is too ambitious? Sorry for all of the questions and again, thank you for the great idea and tutorial.
The plastic was actually easier than the wood. No painting or sealing of the plastic is needed.
Great tutorial! I have yet to make a yard sign but this has given me so many ideas! What did you use for the stake?
Just the metal stake that came with the plastic it’s the H style stake
Wow! ❤️ How did you make him stand in the grass?
Metal stakes
So very cool. (No puns intended.😉) my only question is how did you apply the stake? What did you use for the stake? (Guess that’s 2 questions.) Thank you for sharing this project. 💕
I would like to know also!
I used the H style stake that comes with the plastic just shoved into his bottom
Did you use vinyl & the same method as with Olaf for the bird, bulb, & flag attachments?
Yes I did
It's better to cut the corrugated plastic using a laser cutter first, then apply the vinyl. The edges will look way better!
Well when you don’t have a laser cutter you have to use what ya got :) this worked fine
What kind of laser cutter do you use?
@@citlalicastro87 I personally have a glowforge and love it
I have an 80w chinese laser. My cutting area is 27 1/2" x 19 3/4". I got it for arou d $2k USD
Does it resist the winter, because I'm from Illinois and I would like trying to do things for christmas.
Yep I put him out mostly for Christmas now and it still looks great.
Do u recommend a resolution of the images were making bigger ..so don't look fuzzy?
You want to use a image with a decent resolution. I’ve not had issues of fuzzy images at all when doing this because I always find great quality PNGs
From where is your transfer tape? I want to do some thigs for Easter and Summer.
Everything used for the tutorial is always in the video description transfer tape can be found here www.143vinyl.com/Clear-Medium-Tack-Transfer-Tape-12-inches-by-30-Feet.html?partner=196113
Can you please do Pocahontas? Thanks in advance love.
It would be the same steps just with her image.
Aww man !! Cutting the plastic is the part I wanted to watch. 😔
I used a hot knife it was a long long process
Can you use this same method on foam board?
Yep!
Do you start this as a print and cut?
No. This is all done with a layered SVG
Why are you adding the circles on top of him? You didn't say... did you? Sorry, but I'm brand new to Cricut and am going to attempt to make this as my FIRST project and can't seem to make sense of why that process needs to be done or what it actually does? I look forward to hearing from you. 😉
As I discuss in the video the circles are used to slice out parts of him that have tighter areas around other portions of his body so we are not left with weird small parts we have to try and piece together
Where and what size of corrugated plastic did you get?
It’s linked in the video description
