the only video i needed. most video settings out there are for cinematic videos but only this video seemed to catered for vlogging. finally got my exposure right without buying an ND FILTER!!! you just saved me $300
*still want to get an ND Filter at some point, trust me it's worth it. Just remember which lens you use the most. I just got an ND Filter for my Sigma 16mm *
No money for gear. Started with phone I have 101 subscribers but i am confident i will be successful soon here on RUclips and thanks to Think media and video influencers.❤
This video may be an "oldie" by now, but it's definitely a "GOODIE" - Thank you! and I used your link to get the relocation mount. Thank you so much for this.
This is where I have been going wrong with my footage and have experienced a lot more shaky footage then I’d like. Thanks for the tips will adjust now rocking the same body and lens!
Guys this video is worthy!! I was having an issue when blogging. My videos blurry and dark when moving, I was using the wrong shutter speed based on the fps I was using and thanks to this video I figured that out. Great video. I changed all my settings to the settings you showed here and even though I don’t have a wide angle len I’m getting great quality video
Coming from the god gather NEX-5+Sony 35mm f1.8 OSS to A6400 + sigma 16mm f1.4….blown away doesn’t even describe it 😂. Been living in your playlists guys. Great content 👌🏼
When shooting in 30fps the camera is not downsampling from 6k to 4k anymore. Furthermore it's croping in, compared to 24 fps. Just wanted to let you know. Might be an important fact for some people.
unless you live in the UK and want to shoot in sequence with the 50Hz indoor electrical AC system that controls the light circuit and eliminate the dreaded light flicker.
I am currently using the standard 16-50mm kit lens. Does a good job. Not super wide but it gets the job done. I have not tried shutter priority yet. I traditionally keep it on manual with auto ISO.
Haven’t started vlogging yet, and has not bought the 6400. But thinking of buying the 10-18 together with the 6400. I have the small 16mm for simple stuff when I’m shooting with my current A6000. But first I want to build up my audience with simple videos (in Swedish) Thanks for great content. This channel has given me much useful information. ❤️
Thank you soo much for this video!! It really helped my house mate when he approached me about some IT issues & help with setting up his vlog set-up. Keep the great content coming :)
Thanks, just what I needed, just got this in the mail and setting it up today for a zoom board meeting on Tuesday, it will be paired with a Samsung S9 plus going through a Roland Vr-1HD Video switcher. I hesitated getting it because no in body stabilization but the A6500 and A6600 had no flash, being new to cameras I needed this.
This is my first Sony Mirrorless camera and I love it, I got the 10-18 and the 16-50 lenses based on your which A6400 lenses video to buy. Love you Think Media, btw ruby is adorable 🙏✌👊❤🦅
About the 3rd video I've watched from this guy and I am sure he enjoys watching himself it would be wonderful to dedicate just a few ore nano seconds to what you are doing with the camera settings
Great video. I still own this camera in 2024. The problem I have is the rolling shutter you get even when you use native lenses with OSS. Is there a way to overcome this? Or a lens that reduces it when using the a6400? Thanks
white balance. did I miss it or did you forget it? I think it is also very important as a basic setting. some of my videos were blueish and then orangeish. anyway, thanks for the great video.
Great video! I am using the 16-50 kit lens but with your settings the autofocus makes my background flicker until I set it to manual focus. Can someone help? :)
Hey so I’m attempting to change my record setting like you did in 2:04 …however the only options that I have are 25p 100M and 25p 60M could you please help me with this!? Also would this advice work well for a podcast also ?
Thanks for all of this! Total Newbie here! I shot my first video and it came out SO OVEREXPOSED I WAS YELLOW! Just watch two of your videos and adjusted some settings. But I am curious what should my exposure comp setting be set to?
Yes! Thank you! And thank you for making such a useful video so short and sweet. Also, I would like to use a 35mm for my videos but I’m still figuring it out
I just bought the sigma 16 f1.4 and I also bought the Sony F4 18-105 lens for its zooming capabilities because I do public pranks and this helps me film my subjects unnoticed. My question is which one is suitable for vlogging as I’m about to start a vlog channel also?
Thanks for this info it helped, just wondering if sigma 30mm lens is a great lens to vlog with, it’s just been making my Photos and videos appear too close to the subject
Hello! If i plan to export my video for youtube 4K quatlity, what would be the best resolution that you would recommend to export prior upload on youtube?
Great info guys. I would love to get away from the twos webcams I currently use for my videos. I have ideas for my channel that I currently can't do. One day I'll be able to afford such nice equipment. Thanks for sharing.
Have you tried using the RODE Wireless Go system with the A6400? I wonder if that would be short enough to mount in the top hotshoe without blocking too much of the screen
From the video, it looks like you’re using a base rig which is how the mic was relocated to the side, but the link shows a cold shoe relocation mount. Can you share which base rig you’re using as I would like to keep the hot shoe available. Thanks!

No record limit is a game changer for long form content.
Its a crime to have a record limit, the limit should be the battery or memory
@@luigimafia10201 agreed
Sony A6400 + Sigma 16mm f1.4 here. 💪
Same set up
I have the same set up. How do you cope with rolling shutter and stabilization especially as the sigma lens doesnt have any?
No money for gear. Started with phone I have 101 subscribers but i am confident i will be successful soon here on RUclips and thanks to Think media and video influencers.❤
Still using my phone at almost 9k.
@@EpicMathTime That shows dedication.👍😍

My 6400 came yesterday. It was thanks to you that I chose this camera. Very thankful for you and the team and the content you provide!
This is where I have been going wrong with my footage and have experienced a lot more shaky footage then I’d like. Thanks for the tips will adjust now rocking the same body and lens!
For me...becoming aware there was a relocation adapter for my camera made this video priceless. Thank you 😌

This video is exactly what I wanted! I'm buying this tomorrow, with or without a discount.
That was definitely over my head. Gotta find a video for newbies. I was able to find about 1/3 of the settings he was talking about.
I use the 18-135mm for vlogging. Such a good and allround lens for everything! :)
me tooo
For the people that don’t see these fps options: go to setup menu -> 2nd tab-> change pal to ntsc.
Thank me later!

Currently got the A6400 and using it with the F4 18-105mm OSS and F1.4 16mm for bokeh and low light

You’re literally the SH**T for this!!! Thank you!!! The best helping me with my RUclips vlogging career so much
The Zeiss Touit 12mm 2.8 is my go-to vlogging lens. Almost looks like vlogging on a full frame rig...
I’m on a a6000 .... I’ll upgrade when my brand grows. Love the tips though.

Can you also do a best vlogging set up for the canon g7x ii please if you have a chance.

Thank you, very helpful!
Awesome camera. I might need to buy that
Does this setting works with the kit lens? Im thinking to get this camera now
*yeah it works*

The lense I use is the 3.5-5.6/18-135 is this lenses good for these settings.?
Nice i will try it out. Since it's my first camera. But can u explain the difference NTSC AND PAL
From the video, it looks like you’re using a base rig which is how the mic was relocated to the side, but the link shows a cold shoe relocation mount. Can you share which base rig you’re using as I would like to keep the hot shoe available. Thanks!
How do you chooser your shutter speed?

I currently vlog using my iPhone X. When I watch videos like this, it grows my dreams, but my pockets haven’t caught up yet 😔
Your phone costs more than the camera! LOL
I am using a 18-135 kit lens to vlog at the moment.
