Cheers fella
You should grab quran and look into it my friend you will find peace and purpose innshallah
Alex, 1963 also reminded I was born already 61 years. You looking good machallah ((Blessings)) 🤲
Thank you, I cooked that chicken curry for my first fasting without my mother. It made me cry reminds me of my mum
May Allah swt grant your mother a place in Jannah
Just hope the rest of your brethren feel the same way as you , so far I’m definitely not so sure . May your faith go with you , but may it also keep peace your constant goal .

May I please respectfully say (without any improper intent whatsoever) that it is wonderful to watch an obviously decent man be so proud of his achievements, and the history and tradition of what he does. I imagine that your parents must be immensely proud of you. Thank you also for the variety of dishes you bring to us, and for teaching us how to cook them. My beloved Grandmother trained as a Cordon - Bleu Chef, and since I was a very small girl she would sit me on or next to the work surface in her kitchen so I could start to watch and learn. My Grandparents travelled the world, and wherever they went my Nanna would learn as much as she could about the local cuisines and dishes, and then she would come home and teach them to my Mother and me. She taught me as much as she could before she passed away when I was 18. It was then that I discovered I had inherited the one thing she couldn't teach...her passion for cooking and the rewarding feeling you get from feeding people delicious food. I have only just found your channel, but I am already having so much fun learning the recipes and techniques you are teaching us. Sincerely, thank you.
That was a lovely read. ❤
You are so right, you can teach most things, but you cannot teach someone to have a passion for something. Great to read your post.
Great
Such a lovely comment, feel the same
'That Chicken is having a bath' - best curry quote EVER !!!!!😂😂😂
lol 😂 I know was thinking the same
Lol
@@LatifsInspiredbrother you call the actual stock the yakhni, not the actual finished rice dish. But both dishes looked pukka 👍
Not lahori karahi chicken, Tomatoes drowning chicken. Were is the Bengali fusion he mentioned in the beginning. What a joke. 😅
@@ZarinaJoshi Are you an inadequate competitor, or just a pathetic troll? Asking for a friend 😆
Your channel is so appreciated. Been following for a good few years and have learnt many much needed skills and recipes. Love how you explain the basics - some of us need it! Great teaching, thank you!
When i was a kid in Birmingham i would stay with my grandparents at the weekend. The next door neighbour worked in an Indian restaurant and would always bring me bowl of the "Staff Curry." This has inspired me to cook recipe with my grandsons when i see them next week! Thanks for unloading, subscribing was an easy decision 😊😊
I could eat that rice on its own I'm going to try and make this thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing, sweetheart. I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm in my 70s, and I love Indian food, but due to the fact that I'm disabled I can't do very much cooking anymore, so I really enjoy watching you. God bless you🙏 and keep you safe, healthy, and happy. I wish you a blessed Ramadan. Best wishes from Nanna Hughes ❤️🌹👍😋

That looks awesome!! I didn't know you can infuse flavour like that into rice. I have always steered clear of rice and biriani dishes. Now I'm on a mission...
if your watching your figure just eat less 😂😂😂😂😂😂
mashallah brother amazing work.
baisaab show some home sides dishes like

Will do soon
Very mouthwatering rice & chicken curry ,,,,, but Br you are stirring the rice rather too much it might break . I really appreciate you for starting with Bismillah ….. may Allahswt put brakah in your business, Ameen
Absolutely a "delight to watch"! Indian cuisine is my absolute favorite food.! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤😊
Hi Latif , amazing as always, can't wait to make this recipe, one question, how comes you don't use Sea salt. Himalayan salt or Celtic salt ? much healthier than bog standard table salt
Well, all I can say is , I’m absolutely knackered and have bags under my eyes as I started watching last night and 5 hours later (3am) I was still up! 😂
I’ve made a list of all the spices I need for multiple recipes/dishes and can’t wait to get started!
Your videos are so easy to watch and I’ve been so inspired!
Best channel on RUclips - been a subscriber for a very long time!
Thank you for the support
You my guy are a legend.
I've watched almost all of your videos they are very in depth, all the little tricks and tips to layer the flavour and get a fantastic end result.
Will be coming down your way to say thank you sometime this year, made loads of your dishes, absolutely fire. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I haven't bought a curry for over a month, when I do I'm disappointed because it's never as good as what you teach.
Tomato fans...... Lidl do very good vine tomatoes, buy one or twenty odd.
Whatever your religion or if you don't have one (like me) - Just be nice to each other, it's free and makes you feel good.
Another amazing curry dude!
Thank you Ian
Where is onion and garlic
How refreshing to watch you cook. You handle the ingredients with such love and care. Cooking in real time is a joy and a comfort at the same time. I’m convinced that meals made with the prime ingredient of love are very different from those which we see where the food is smacked around and brutalised in order to create noise. Your gentle treatment and your humble appreciation for the gift of what we feel when we cook and the sharing of it with others is unsurpassed. I could watch you in the kitchen all day.
Almighty Bless you Latif Bhai...🙏
Your cooking videos are as simple as you...👍
The message you give the viewers is exemplary 👌
The guest who eat you food are Blessed ,,,because your food tastes awesome,,,all because your thoughts are Divine 🤝

That looks amazing, it's making my mouth water. I love a good curry. I'm going to try making this.
Thank you so much.... I'm a very experienced cook, who learned from an Indian Grandmother forced from Uganda in the 70's..... through your videos I am still learning... Thank you my friend.
Bless you
Please do a video of the lamb stock or give us substitute thanks
I love your recipes and guides, but if I could offer some constructive criticism, don't headline a recipe as 30mins, without breaking down the prep time e.g. skinning chicken, prepping spice mix, blatantly trying to endorse ASDA tomatoes, and not to mention soaking and rinsing the rice. I was blessed to meet and learned from a Bangladeshi curry chef who was very much a perfectionist, and I fully acknowledge how much effort goes on in the background.
Masterful staff meal how I Wish I could sit in on the flavour rush
" You can't over-eat on this dish ...." - mate,I'll bury my face in there !!! Looks magic!
Dear Cheff, amazing recipe and thank you for sharing! ❤ One tip from Indian Packistani Cardiosurgeon: don't use Any Animal Fats to Live Longer and healthier and not be on a cardiac or neurology surgery table, as it happened suddenly for me in 40s. Maybe if you try to modify your recepies to be Heart and Brain Healthy, you would use a little less oil and only vegetable oil and only non-animal oil. You can search numerous top doctors on RUclips for Heart Healthy Oils to use and recommendations by top Hospitals and Universities ideally. Always throw out this animal fat from refrigerated soups or meals, no matter how poor or wealthy you are. ❤ Bless you and your family and friends on Ramadan and for a lifetime.
Thank you for such a wonderful piece of advice.. It will definitely help lots of people who'll read this...🙏🌸🌺🌸👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Your videos have such a calm and almost therapeutic feel to them - it's relaxing and educational viewing! Liked and subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
I've had a 'staff curry' in Rusholme, years ago, absolutely delicious.
The look smell and taste of real curry and rice, is something else. I love it. Thanks Latif. 👍
I worked in Dubai and always asked Chef for the staff curry ✅🙏👌
I like your comment on the long life lid that's been with you for 21 years.
I use wooden cooking implements purchased in Georgetown, Washington, DC, in 1963.
I’m looking forward to going up north sometime soon to visit friends & making a visit to Latiff’s Restaurant….

Glad you enjoyed it
Lamb stock. That's the ticket!!!
Yo
Beautiful. Thank you for producing, filming and sharing with the world. I'm eating your recipe in my dreams.
Wow, thank you
The rice with lamb stock is a game changer

Nothing beats staff curry 🍛
It's be crazy if there was a dish on the menu called "staff curry" 🤣
I always use to order a staff curry at my favourite takeout until they stopped doing it. Definitely the best curry I’ve had.
I love the way you cook it reminds me of my son in law families the Modi's of Petermaritzburg 😊
I made a mistake of watching this while fasting. It's still 2hrs more to go before iftar. Haizzz. But chef, that's a beautiful looking chicken curry. I'll try this recipe one of these days.
Would love a recipe for the lamb akhni - more specifically how you make the lamb stock. Everything looks delicious. My 85 year old father travels back to Ghana every year to see his family. Last year he took the spices and your recipes to cook curry for them 😉
Coming from a Jamaican 🇯🇲 who takes pride in a good curry 🍛 dish, you did your thing looks amazing 🤩 👏🏾👏🏾
Yes please for the lamb stock recipie. Like the "If you’re watching your weight eat less”
9:04 it looks like chicken korma but i know it doesnt taste like it
As a chef myself I'm white but eat mainly Bangladesh food, it's nice to have a quick recipe when I get home at 1am 😂.
Mate, the 'fragrance ' you are smelling from the tomatoes is actually from the vines and stalks. Wash them and blend them together with the tomatoes . It is a Rick Stein trick!
Yo
As Salaam mualaiykum brother your food looks yummilicious... I'm so hungry now😂... Love from South Africa ❤
Wa Alaikum Assalam Wa Rahmatullah ❤
Assalamu Curry looks very tempting , I’m intrigued by the lamb stock .how do u make the stoc
Lambiness has just entered the lexicon of cooking.... well done boss
Big hugs and huge thanks, just sent this to my family in Texas, they always wanted to know how my Dad did this, I taught him from watching how the potwash guys made the curry in Hilton years ago, amazing what you learn when the head chef was off! I was the Sous chef that understood!!! Happy cooking and big hugs to all the crew.
Huge respect my friend.
Wonderful!
@@LatifsInspired I could never explain it, thanks for doing it, cooked a curry one time, a German friend said I've never seen potato in a curry, really cooked it for my mate from Mauritius, he said wow you put potato in, and it's just like my mum's!! I guess I did listen and learn. Thanks for the positivity in these times. It's really tough for so many for no reason at all. Peace and Love
Interesting... no onions in the curry itself... but in the rice... 🤔... defiinitely going to try this. Looks amazing. Thanks!
It's a variation of karahi. Just quicker without whole spices etc.
Piliau varies, and many start with fried rice and whole spices.
I can almost smell it through the screen fwooaaarr
Definitely fragranteh
A curry with no onions?!! Wow. Im making this tonight. Thanks brother
I’ve been following you for quite some time now, and I love this channel thanks latif
Your a man after my own heart ,I believe in using natural animal fat for cooking ,first time watching this ,Love from Ireland ❤❤❤❤❤
Bro I hit like soon as you lut the light saying bismillah!!!
Alhamdulillah
Lamb stock, yes please;)
❤
I love the colours of Bengali dishes! I find my Pakistani dishes are too orange and I want red looking dishes. I wish I had this curry with hot naan right now looks sooo good mashallah!
What I've noticed when cooking spices, and they stick, is to put tomatoes in. The acid in the tomatoes release the spices from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Anyway, I love your videos (I've followed your instructions for various curries and they went down an absolute treat), and may love and light guide and drive you to be an even better person (there's always room for improvement).
How did you make the lamb stock
I’ll make a video if I get enough requests
Wow this looks amazing I’m excited to try this iv seen your work before so I’m definitely making it now ❤
Thanks for the vid.. I don't believe in giving to organizations .. locate the true needy ones and do your own personal charity - without hypocracy.😊
Always wash tomato's before using. They are often coated to improve shelf life and as you know more and more people are dying from cancer these days. It's by design and you have to really watch what is in or on the food you consume.
Your British ? And you live here in this country? So why you only supporting Muslim aid? Why not all people aid?..
Looked fantastic and I dont normally eat Indian or Pakistani curries because I dont like sauces with yoghurt or milk or cheese in them but this curry would suit me down to the ground, so thank you for the recipe. I give to Christian aid normally but was tempted after watching that short film to give to Muslim aid, however after researching them quickly I was somewhat shocked and disappointed that Zakat can only be given to Muslims and not like Christian aid who give to anyone who needs help regardless of the race or religion, so I will stick with Christian aid because I want my donations to go to those most in need regardless of race or religion.
I would use separate spoons for lamb fat and the ginger/garlic paste to avoid cross contamination. Also most Indian restaurants use separate cookware for veg and non -veg to respect dietary guidelines.
I always thought you needed to put onions in the curry, but I guess this proves they’re not necessary
Please try this recipe it’ll blow you away
Which brand of rice do you use ? ,everything looks delicious 😋

I have just found your channel and look forward to trying your food thank you so much for sharing.
Chicken Karahi got to be the most universally likeable curry. Beautiful dish.
This channel is a gift. The content you're putting out has elevated our kitchen skills and my weight!
Why do you say bissmillah so much? What does it mean?
Means “in the name of Allah”, just asking for god’s blessing
Hi, liking your videos. You quote the spice amounts in teaspoons or tablespoons, could you advise the approximate weights of one teaspoon and one tablespoon ? Can't wait to try this recipe 🙂
Great suggestion!
This has put me of eating in a Restaurant again. It is advisable to clean the pan before cooking the meal.
Another amazing recipe! I’m cooking for about 30 people this weekend, I may use this along with the chicken jalfrezi and Rogan Josh and if I can find a butter chicken recipe on your channel, I’ll do that too. I’ve got a huge BIR gravy base made, I might make a paneer tikka masala and need to think about rice etc. I’m not confident to do the breads- but wish me luck, I love your recipes and pretty soon I’ll manage it! 🤣 thanks for sharing- any suggestions for the menu haha

I'm looking forward to making this. Thanks so much for sharing. I would like to see how you make mutton curry
The Arabic text of the verse (Ayah) read by the Muslim Aid person is wrong and must be corrected or removed. The English translation is accurate but the Arabic has two mistakes:
خذ من اموالهم (ليس من اموالكم) صدقة تطهرهم (ليس تطهر) وتزكيهم.
سورة التوبة الاية ١٠٣
تزيكم
Okra probably goes really nicely in that, I like it in the more tomatoey ones anyway.
First time seeing one of your videos. That curry looked amazing. I have subscribed and will spend the rest of my night watching your videos. Thank you.
Bro, I'm still using your tandoori recipe, which is the family favourite.
Masha’Allah

Well you certainly made my day through sharing your beautiful skills and passion, Thank you and keep serving up these delicious videos
I made this today. Delicious
Hi Latif! Made this yesterday to serve today and it was _fabulous_!
I used boneless chicken thighs and some slightly milder red chillies, but was otherwise the same. Absolutely gorgeous!
I didn't have anything to make a lamb rice with, but just used the rice cooker (absolute life saver) with some long grain rice, turmeric, and cardomom pods.
Took the time this afternoon to make some lovely soft naan, and enjoyed the dinner enormously.
Cheers!
It’s comments like this that inspires me to make tutorials. Thank you for a wonderful comment
