Many moons ago, I went to an Indian restaurant in Palm Springs, California while on vacation. Had no idea what to order and told the waiter to choose for me. He served me "chicken makanwala". It was so delicious. 😍 I told him that I would like to thank the chef and if I had permission to lick the plate. It was that good. So good in fact that I returned the next day and had it again. I have never forgotten that meal. It's one of the best I've ever had. I've always wanted to recreate it. And today on my birthday you, Latif, delivered the best birthday present ever. Thank you❗♥
Did you actually try this recipe? I'm 100% sure it will taste nothing like that delicious restaurant quality dish you remembered. I'm not.saying this will taste bad , but it is nothing like what the restaurant serves... Latif is a fraud.. a chef teaching homestyle dishes....
I made this for Christmas dinner here in the US and I am now the hero of my family! Everyone loved it! I used your Tandoori chicken recipe and cooked the chicken two days before, and made the gravy yesterday. When it hit the table today everyone was amazed at the flavor! I served your “easy” veg pilau as a side with fresh naan bred. This is the first time I’ve ever cooked this type of food and it turned out amazing. Thank you for the clear instructions and for sharing with us all!
I made this for my friends today on my birthday party with 3 kg chicken and everybody just stuffed their faces until they couldn't anymore. Love this recipe
Latiefbhai is very kind to teach us but with this effort we realise what we actually paying for and the ingredients is not cheaper either so thanks for all your love and care. Kind hearted soul
Yep. Very expensive dish to make now in 2024 with a tub of Lurpak £7 plus the chicken of course and other ingredients. I made quite a large quantity and froze 4 tubs so worked out OK. Was delicious
Made this 6 or 7 times. Always going back to it because it is so, so good. Swapped out the chicken for paneer for veggie family members - they loved it. Make it with Persian steamed rice and it's class.
I rarely comment but this is the BEST butter chicken I have ever made and taste better than the restaurants here in USA. I have tried many recipes on internet but this is the best!
I made a big pot of this today. Had no fresh coriander nor ginger and nearly forgot to put the sugar in. And it is still beautiful. Thank you so much, Sir, for an outstanding recipe which I look forward to making again with the ginger and fresh coriander. Chicken Makhani for ever!
That’s a Brummie for ya! Great people!.....not biased at all 😂😂😂 me not a Brummie at all 😂😂😂😂 ❤.... I met him years ago at his restaurant my 30th birthday he was so funny and an all round great guy
This is the most rich, indulgent, and perfect butter chicken that I’ve ever had. Hats off to you! I am so grateful for your instruction. What a pleasure.
Ha....I had the very same problem here in Eastern Canada....the indian cuisine is absolutely garbage. Latifah just may have saved my life....praise be to Latif!
Even here in the Raleigh, NC area, we have some of thebest Indian around. Worked in the UK for many years and ate Indian while there. Our Indian and Nepalese restaurants (many family owned) here are as good as the UK if not better. You can tell the great restaurants by the number of Indian university students who frequent them to get a taste of home!
I made this dish yesterday and its the first dish i have made at home that looks and tastes like a restaurant dish! If i can do it anyone can. Please bring out a book
I call your bull. I challenge anyone to follow this recipe and tell me it taste like restaurant. I'm not saying this recipe will taste bad. I'm just saying it's homestyle. Nothing like the restaurant.
@@supermannnnn restaurant is never as good as home style , restaurants used pre cooked meats as they need it to be quicker for customers . It’s nice but never as good
@@supermannnnn call bull all you like, its a bloody good dish. Making it tonight (again) and all that matters is that I (not you) am happy with it. Maybe i am not as blessed as you with having top notch take out, but from my perspective i have not missed take out ever since I discovered this channel, so you sir can suck it!
Hi! I made this for dinner last night... first time making it, and it turned out so tasty!! Thank you so much for sharing this great recipe and tutorial
I am from the USA and love your videos. Just discovered you tonight and have been binge watching. Anyway... I have to say the tomato paste sold in toothpaste tubes is absolutely brilliant. Wish I could buy it like that here.
Made exactly as per the recipe, really gorgeous. I froze a few portions and tastes just as good out the freezer. Many thanks for your recipes sir, delicious!
Going to make this today. Me and the wife started dribbling just watching the video. I have made quite a few of your dishes and always they taste just spot on I tend to adjust the chilli content as we don’t like them to hot. Thank you Latif keep cooking
Fantastic i made this and was better than my local indian restaurant I have pre booked myself into my local hospital accident and emergency department for when i have a heart attack
Again another brilliant video. Bought a book 30+ years ago by Mridula Bajekar - totally inspired by that book - and now inspired by your videos they are excellent. I love your approach, enthusiasm and that you make the recipes something we can do at home. Thank you !
One of the best things in your videos - is that it comes across, very clearly, that you love what you're doing! That is why you are so good at it - and good, you most certainly are!! Your playing "What a Wonderful Life" automatically makes you a great guy IMO. I'm impressed at how hard you work including your sharing the details of making all of these delicious recipes. However I see you love green chilies and green peppers which are not my favourite. Just the same, I'm sure your food is delicious.
Thank you very much for sharing your recipe. You make it enjoyable to watch and engage us in your cooking the way you demonstrate. May Allah bless you.

Thank God for the 3rd generation Indian chefs otherwise we would never know the ingredients as illustrated in the video. Thanks
I can’t believe this channel doesn’t have a million subscribers woaaaw
The videos are great but the editing still needs a bit of work - it's not that surprising at all
I agree👍🏼
Yeah the info he imparts on every video is amazing.
Not doing bad though. It only had 20k subscribers only about a year or so ago
Made this 6 or 7 times. Always going back to it because it is so, so good. Swapped out the chicken for paneer for veggie family members - they loved it. Make it with Persian steamed rice and it's class.

Dave you should be able to buy them at Indian grocery stores across the country.
We also call it Tomato purée here 😁
Great to see a small batch of gravy being made also with the dish instead of the usual 7L 3hr marathon I’m used too 😅👍

What I learned here is that curries are far more complex than I make them!
