I cooked this last night and it was so good I teared up a bit. Sag paneer is my absolute favorite dish to order! Frying the paneer in turmeric and chili made it so, so flavorful! I added some chopped ginger and lots of coriander greens. If you ever make a cookbook I’ll buy it, you’ve taught me so, so much! Blessings from Germany

I'm a novice to Indian cuisine and I've been working on a vegan palak paneer recipe for a while. Using this video as the guideline I made the best version yet! I didn't have the base gravy, but I added a can of coconut milk for both liquid and cream, and upped the spices a bit. Phenomenal, thank you!
Just discovered your channel and love it. As a good British lad curry is obviously my favourite cuisine and I'm now drilling down through your videos to find the veggy recipes - yep, I'm one of them! This recipe will be my weekend challenge.
You talk about 'vine tomatoes'. Did you realize that most of the flavour is in the stalk & vine? When you walk into a greenhouse where tomatoes are growing, & that wall of smell hits you, people think " Ah! Tomatoes... ". What you can actually smell is the plant itself, NOT the red fruits. Instead of throwing them in the bin, why not do what Italian chefs do, & throw the stems into the pot, when making base gravy? They would do it when making a long slow simmered tomato sauce, to impart extra flavour. Just remove before you blitz, same as you would with bay leaves etc. What harm can it do? It can only make the gravy better , not worse.
Thank you Latif, I’ve been following you for a while from rural France. Just love a good curry but they are difficult to find out here. But! I know someone who can supply the spices… I’ll keep, following you…. Also, you have kind gentle hands..
Latif is the best , really needs to do a cook book , me and my mates are all big curry fans and always talk about latifs curries , keep it up my friend , peace
This is by miles the best Sag Paneer I ever tasted. I added a dessert spoon of your tomato puree, sort of by mistake. Which probably didn't make much difference. I had no cream, so had it with just the tomato wedges and green chillies. The slightly softened, warm tomato is perfect and really lifts it
Literally just went to a lil hole in the wall Indian Market and was shocked at all the deals! I bought a huge amount of Tumeric for $7... Costco would've charged $70! I also love the assortment of spices and baking flour... Super excited to make some of your recipes! SUBBED😉
One of my favorite dishes. Sag Paneer. I always enjoy this dish when I go to the restaurant, but could never guess how to prepare it. I also love daal bhuna. Thank you very much Chef Tariff for sharing your wonderfully delicious recipes. I’m now hooked on your channel. I’m learning so much. Blessings to you sir.🙏🏽🙏🏽

Best food channel on RUclips .. I’m obsessed with cooking the dishes , demonstrated perfectly Everytime , been lookin for this quality channel for a longgg time . !!!!
Yup. The cost of bloody fresh spinach as opposed to frozen in a bag is outrageous as well. What's the difference when you're going to shred the vegetable anyway? You get more spinach in a bag as well.
Ive made saag paneer using your recipe and it was the best! Tried many Indian take away RUclipsrs recipes but non of them was as good as this! No need tomato paste and no need ginger in this dish, and this chopped spinach😍! That’s what makes this dish perfect! Just have a question, can you freeze leftover spinach fried with garlic?
Latif, I think you should approach one of the TV channels, your presentation skills are exceptional. I live in Ciudad Real, Spain, the nearest Indian restaurant or take away is in Madrid about 200 kms. away! Your recipes are excellent and I can now buy most of the ingredients from an Indian grocery shop on line from Madrid.
Thank you so much for the beautiful video. Do you share your restaurant spice mix powder recipe? Would that just be something like a Garam Masala powder? Thank you. 🙂
Made this vegan style last week with button mushrooms instead of the cheese and no ghee obvs, was delicious good recipe, making it again now but with half spinach and half wild garlic ramsons..
Hi nice saag recipe. If I’m cooking for 7 people how many grams of spinach will I need to get? Then obviously I’ll have to increase the amount of spices and paneer too
Recipe looks amazing and will definitely give it a go but please could you switch to using a different utensil when mixing? The metal on metal is really grating.
Hi I am in Ireland i will be in England soon where is your restaurant I would love to try your food it looks amazing when I was younger I Han a lot of friends from Indian
@@kiwikrankers works better if you cook it before freezing it, e.g., saute it a bit before setting it aside to cool and then to freeze for up to about six months. If you plan to use it sooner, you can store in the frig for a few days (some keep it in water, changing the water everyday, like you might do with fresh mozzarella).
Saag paneer is one of my favourite dish bro, check my channel out, just started and I've got a few bengali dishes, been following u on my personal account, your food looks so delicious 😋 I've just subscribed with this account hope to try a few of your dishes out . 👍
I’ve made this twice now - using a bit of water instead of the base gravy, and I used a bit of single cream too. It was totally delicious. I really should make some gravy too, I’m sure it would taste even better. Thanks dude. Love your food!
WOW it looks absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for always sharing delicious! 😋 I'll look forward to your good videos! Have a nice day! 👍I truly enjoy this yummy recipe from beginning to end 👌🌹 Thank you for sharing my friend. I joined you, hopefully you will join me as wel
you can use the heat from the pan to finish drying out, this is where people waste so much energy, they do not realise, while the pan is cooling it is still cooking. like when you scramble eggs, leave a little liquid in bottom, take off heat, and keep stirring , perfect scrambled egg every time.
Is it just me the scratching metal spoon on metal pans makes my head explode 🤯 😵😵😵😬😬😬 listening to this in headphones at work hehehehhe 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ other than that thank you for the cooking instruction and direction… it looks delicious 🤤
Latif, isn’t it about time you produced your own cookbook?
I’d buy it in a heartbeat
Another great recipe

Cooked this again tonight. As we are Vegan, I used tofu instead. It worked brilliantly. Very Flavoursome!
My wife loves me.
Tofu is the way to go
Just the question I was going to ask👍🏻
Hi Latif, I really enjoyed this video and will make the dish. Can I keep the gravy in the freezer? How long can be in the fridge?
The title of your book should be: "Flavoursome and gorgeous by Latif"
Or absolutely gorgeous:))
You forgot 'phenominal' :)

most appetising lookimg palak paneer. some of the other thumbnails looked like undercooked green slop,
this looks perfect will try
This is the best saag paneer I've had ever, in forty years of eating Indian food. Wonderful base gravy.
Makes my mouth water because in Italy we cannot get the ingredients.....
Oh dear. Try with Halloumi cheese.
You can try fusion version with Italian cheese.
After making your quick gravy recipe, I made this.
Cooking the paneer in spices added another layer of flavor. Best thing I’ve made in a while.

Thank you for this recipe, it's amazing! I made it without paneer this time and it came out very yummy.
Why do you use aluminium pan?!...it is totally unhealthy...a chef should know that 😢
so you could cheat and use a onion gravy powder, i will not name brand names?
Recipe looks amazing and will definitely give it a go but please could you switch to using a different utensil when mixing? The metal on metal is really grating.
Mine, after 10 attempts still doesn't look like yours - I am on my way to Alsager lad!!! 6
You cooked the hell out of that spinach. No nutritional value left. Spinach cooks in 1 minute. You don't cook it longer than that.
You need to edit the chopping of the spinach, shouldn’t take that long which I found a bit annoying.
Didn't have the right cheese it melted like butter 😂 very tasty recipe I used kale 👍 thank you 🙏 yum 😋

Can you substitute a chopper for a Cuisinart food processor❓Looks delicious and can’t wait to try
Oh hell yeah. Thank you
When I saw those beautiful browned corners on the cubes of paneer I suddenly realaised how much I hate coronavirus :(
Hi Latif how do you make the Paneer ?
This is the type of guy that invites you over for dinner; its very nice; but when you go out to clubbing with him, he steals all the women
The rough way you treat the lid on that blender you'll have broken it by the time I have typed this comment.
Thank you so much. Looks very nice. U need to show us, how you make curry sauce as well.
I long to taste your wonderful food but it is a long way from Australia for a night out. Need a cookbook
Absolute banger yet again mate, top work! Quick question: can I cook extra paneer and freeze it for later use?
In my own experience, paneer doesnt freeze and thaw too well. it becomes crumbly.
Thank you

these "teaspoons" of ghee are maybe just a liiiiitttle on the large side
I like this method but video is way too long
Cream sounds good, I'd like to add some tender flank steak across the top.

The scraping spoon during cooking makes me crazy!
