My garlicky Saag Paneer recipe is a family favorite! Palak Paneer, or Saag Paneer, as it’s called in some Indian restaurants, is an Indian creamed spinach recipe with chunks of pan-fried Indian cottage cheese (paneer.) It’s the perfect vegetarian dish, and it’s so good served over basmati rice or with naan!
This Beginner friendly recipe is simple and easy.

So glad I found your channel. Making this for sure this weekend. I made your Tikka Masala last night and with my own korma recipe... this was like phenomenal! Thank you so much! You should have a restaurant if you don't. Your curry is the best I've ever made at home, saves me a ton on going out to eat curry when I can make it as good at home.
Wonderful to hear this 😊👍
Have had paneer in fridge for a while, now have a great recipe for it 👍
Thank you for providing variations and tips for customizing the recipe to suit different preferences. It's great to see how versatile this dish can be!
this recipe video was excellent, excellent instructions

Made this today. Very good recipe, loved it!
Love your channel, such easy to follow delicious recipes delivered with such meticulous precision! 👌👌🔥
Absolutely gorgeous and ur saag looks amazing too
I have just discovered your channel and I love all your videos. I can’t wait to start cooking your recipes. Xx
It's easier to just saute' the onions and garlic, tomato and spices first and then directly add chopped spinach into the pot and stir up. The you cook it down until its all soft. Add some water. Then you immersion blend it until creamy.
🎉🎉🎉
This recipe is fantastic. Made it a few times now and always refer back to this video
I’ve tried this from my local Indian restaurant and really enjoy it. I have some left over and will have it as breakfast. It’s so comforting to eat.

Thank you for clear instructions
Most welcome 😊👍
This was amazing! Please do one for Aloo Gobi!!
This looks amazing! Can't wait to try it myself. But about the name, wouldn't it be a palak paneer, as there was only spinach leaves? Thank you!!
This is how I make mine. First curry I attempted and also my favorite. Still getting on and off results making my own paneer. Thank you, this was informative and enjoyable to watch as always.
No problem at all 😊👍
Hmm i have paneer in fridge and a bag of spinache. Guess ill be following this recipe soon.
Thank you, for your clear explanation of one of my favorite dishes.
Cooking this way was new to me. But thanks to you a piece of cake!
Wonderful to hear this 😊🙌

What an excllent recipe my beutiful sister. Love and respect to you and your family from Scotland 😄 from Khalid
Omg I tried your recipe and it was a winner! So tasty!!!
Glad you liked it!!
That looks sooooooo good. Cooking for dinner tonight.
Hope you enjoyed it 😊
I so appreciate that you give the weight of your ingredients. I use a scale and measure in grams. For spices, yes, I use teaspoon measurements. Measuring 100 grams of greens is more helpful than "1 cup of greens," for example. One never knows how tightly the cup was packed. Or if it's a chunky vegetable or the paneer, how finely chopped it was. Thank you for the time you took to weigh and report what it is.
You are so welcome! Glad it helps 👍
I tried this today. Came out amazing. I added half a tea of cinnamon also, and it was great!
Wonderful!
Never had paneer, looks good!
It's so good! You should try it! 😊👍
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes I made this a few weeks ago from your recipe, was really nice!
I have just made this having just got in from work. I used tofu instead of paneer and home made cashew cream as I have a problem with dairy. I can say, though, that this is absolutely delicious and simple to make.
Thank you for this.fantastic recipe.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing this 😊👍
Hi can you make bharva stuffed kerela sabji vegetarian version and baby aubergine eggplant stuffed sabji too many bake in oven thanks
Your dishes always look so delicious. Haven't eaten paneer before but I will be trying this somtime this week. Can you cook some duck or pork dishes?
Pork???? Are you serious
@@sandyinmids yeah what's the problem with that
I love saag paneer. I get vindaloo level though and it is even better
When I saw notification it reminded me to comment on the result with this recipe. Your recipe was stunning and amazing. Vibrant green
Masha Allah!!!!
Thank you, I can’t wait to make it today or tomorrow. By the way, there’s no such thing as too much garlic.
Hope you enjoyed it 😊🙌
Hi I live in Mexico and am doing an Indian dinner party for friends. There is no paneer here so what can I substitute for the cheese. It will have to be fairly firm in order to cook as you do in the video. Thanks
Will taste better if you add the spices while sauting the onions tomatoes ginger and garlic. Especially the turmeric needs to be cooked in the initial stage
can you use frozen spinach?
I love tamarind chutney. Give me some samosas and I am set. Pair it with some bullet Naan and saag and I'm happy. ❤
Currently looking at your vegetable dishes for ideas on what to cook for my in laws 40th anniversary. Can you recommend two dishes please
Yes, definitely. If I had to pick two then Saag Paneer would be one and the other is my Chana Dal which you can find on my channel. Both dishes are different In texture, the Chana Dal is more of a dryish curry whilst the Saag Paneer is slightly wetter curry due to the spinach. If you wanted, you could even throw in a starter, Onion Bhajis or Paneer Tikka. Happy Anniversary to them both and I hope whatever it is you make, you enjoy your time together 💜😊
Tasty panner tastier chef ❤❤🤗🤗
Can’t stop looking at you 😊
Gaawd she’s sooo sexy ❤️❤️🙈
What is double cream please? Is it the same as heavy whipping cream? Thank you!
Yes in the UK we call it double cream, just did a Google search it says heavy cream or shipping cream for people in the USA
Shamza Colin again, might use mustard oil and frozen peas at end.. what do you think?
Sorry for the late reply Colin, if you've not made this yet then mustard oil may be a little too strong flavoured but the peas would work perfectly.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes 👍👍will use only peas.
SUKRAN ❤️❤️❤️
As salaam aleikum Shamsa😋😋😋😋😋
Will cook this beauty for our next veggie day 👍
Do you mind if I forward a recipe link to my 2 vegetarian children?
❤
Colin 🏴 🇵🇰
Walaikum 😊 Absolutely not Collin, please go ahead. 🙌
Paneer difficult to obtain in my corner of the world. Can I sub chick peas or tofu for the protein?
Torfu could work having said that I've never tried it. So maybe give it a go and let me know too. 😁👍 Same goes for the chickpeas too
Don't u boil the spinach first before blending?
How did u made the masala paneer I mean blend it and what did u used coriander and what else sister assalaamu alaikum.can u please show me many thanks 😊 for that sister
Watch the video she explains it
Can this dish be frozen for later use ? Thanks
Yes you can!
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes Thanks, I really love your recipes. I made the saag paneer yesterday. Next i want to make tandoori chicken in the oven.
Thank you, we love Saag Paneer, but all the recipes we saw were so complicated. This is doable! We are assuming that the hard cheese could be substituted with firm tofu for our vegan friends. Hope that is OK :)
Thank you for your comment. I've never tried it with torfu, I imagine it would work but just run a test batch and let me know too. I'd love to hear how you got on. 😊👍
Can we eat it with bread
Absolutely
iam trying to get more magnesium and read abount spinach and now saag which lead me to you lol
iam worried abount oxalates people allways say this and that abount them but iam hopeing and thinking thats rubbish and the magnesium from spinach and all the other minerals far out weigh any down falls
do you eat this often
Thanks babe, like the creamy trick but it's ashame it didn't look very appetising 😭 sorry i know it's difficult making spinach look nice but as a content creator it REALLY should. Anyway thanks for the inspiration because its the best Paneer & Sarson ka Saag on here and im gonna make a propa video to demonstrate how it should be done. ❤
