I agree. I had never had any serious experience with romance until I'm 22, and my first experience was a situationship, in which I was extremely emotionally invested. Needless to say, it left me devastated and I went through the worst 3 months of my life.
Though I cannot say I "treasure" the experience - because it indeed wounded me deeply and left me with so many unresolved issues, I still have to admit I have grown and learned a lot in terms of romance. Until now I still haven't had my first boyfriend, but what I went through was both destructive and enriching.

My insecurities come from not knowing and being a perfectionist. I'm scared of looking stupid, I'm afraid of embarrassing myself, I don't like making mistakes, I don't like not knowing everything that might happen. i hope you recognize that you too are a human being, who is capable of making mistakes. it’s totally okay for you to not know stuff, because that is how we learn new things. not knowing stuff is what drives us to learn, omniscience is not meant for humans. i’m all about aiming for the sky but trying to be perfect is like setting yourself up for dissatisfaction. i think you should try treating yourself like you would treat someone you love, meaning you would never view their mistakes as embarrassments, failures or imperfections. i hope you recognize that you not knowing something is the most human thing a human can do. i hope this message finds you in peace and happiness. i wish you well on this journey!

@@fatimarehmannn Wow! Thank you very much for your kind words. I don't really know why I'm like this. I think part of it is because every time I made mistakes I was always concerned about what my loved ones would say about me and every time I failed at something it was always criticism that I received from them to the point that I'd rather hide what I'm doing to them and tells them if I already succeed on it.

I think one of the things I became aware of that helped boost my confidence was the spotlight effect.
We see ourselves as on a stage and the world is our personal audience.

"Confident comes from within" and it couldn't be more true. It all starts with the self and that internal feeling is what really makes you feel confident and what will show to the outside world.

You look amazing with that haircut. I love your videos, keep being the way you are even when it feels like it wouldn't matter if you stopped putting the effort to be better everyday, just because people don't realize about little things you do for them and how you treat them overall.

You go girl! Other people do not matter. They will drag you down and wad you up and throw you away. Worry only about yourself and your family to remain strong. Self confidence is the key to survival in this world!

This is so helpful and so useful! Another thing is, you know you have found true confidence and inner peace when even if you don’t necessarily like how you look that day and it isn’t your go to “confident” appearance, you still accept yourself and feel the same love for life and yourself as you would if you were doing what normally made u confident. I think confidence is also about, no matter how you happen to look, being okay and secure with yourself and accepting. Acceptance is as beautiful as confidence and forms itself into confidence.
Of course that doesn’t mean don’t take pride in the things that make you feel confident (hair, clothes, the food you eat, working out ect.) But even when all that isn’t working for you one day, truly accepting that you are still just as worthy is beautiful.
But of course we only have one life (depending on beliefs) so embrace what you love and make the most of the things that bring you confidence!
And love yourself you were made for yourself and no one else enjoy it!🤍

Beautiful video. So on point with everything.
Regarding the posture, I watched this video by Diana Devitt-Dawson, and she teaches the Alexander technique. It's basically about posture also, but its specifically about avoiding the compression of our spine. I've done my best to apply it, and I feel like it makes a difference in the health of my body and it helps me be aware of my posture. The video is rather relaxing also.

Oh! Something that boosted my confidence was getting a buzzcut! As a girl, I never thought I'd be able to cut my hair that short and so many people told me the downsides of buzzed hair as a girl (e.g. boys won't find you attractive, it'll look weird when it grows out etc.) but stepping out of my comfort zone really helped me to feel more confident. When I first stepped out of the house I felt so self-conscious and like everyone was staring at me but now I love the look and feel of it and I realise that no one actually cares :)

Lana, I want you to know that you have always been confident and resilient woman. Your long, open, loose hair is one of many signs that prove your positive and confident mindset ❤️. You never let us down especially with a lovely quote about a bird 🕊️ and a nice joke about the capital of the US. You always dress nicely 👕🎽 and deliver an honest view about the world we live in. ❤️
Confidence comes with self-worth. It allows us to freely express our needs. If we know our own value then we will be able to trust ourselves and do what's the best for us.
At this very moment, your existence and life-changing advice can save millions of lives at this point.
