  • This is an instructional 20 minute yoga video that aims to strengthen the core in preparation for arm balances such as crow pose, headstand, handstand and forearm stand. The intention is to work all parts of the core including the upper abs, lower abs and obliques in a variety of ways that keeps the body guessing.
    In this flow, we also practice a few arm balances including baby grasshopper pose. It goes a little fast in this flow so if you need more instruction please check out this link: yogabycandace.c...

    Thanks Candace, it's a powerful core workout in 20 minutes! It's worth noting that a very loud advert for an action film interrupted the practice at 3 minutes, which scared the crap out of me and is extremely incongruous with yoga.

    I so appreciate these yoga videos. I love the level of difficulty. I'm not quite there in being able to do all the poses for sure, as I'm very weak atm, but these are challenging and will help build my strength in that direction! I appreciate they're without music and the straightforward instruction of the video - not too much talking :)

    Thanks Candace, nice short practice to engage but not exhaust your abs and core (although, I suppose that may vary according to how strong they are in any given person!) in a nice sequence. Wanted something short and not too strong this morning, so I felt fresh for a long day and a session with my kickbag tomorrow. Best wishes.

    Thank you so much for this video... (your entire channel, rather!) I have been doing this flow 3-4time/week for the last two weeks and feel a dramatic improvement in my wellbeing... thank you!
    I feel challenged, more confident, and comfortable as a result of your poses. This is extremely exciting to me because I have been attending classes for about two years (but never felt this excited or empowered by any of it...) I can't wait to take a few of your other classes/videos!!

    At the moment I am just watching your videos and trying to get my head around the different names you use. I can't believe how flexible you are and the beauty of your movements. They are so smooth and calming just to watch. I have many problems with my feet and would appreciate something I could do to get them to pre-basics if you know what I mean... I can't sit on them, go back on them, but I can stand which is great. Any ideas? And thanks again for the videos. After 2 days, I am a fan!!

    Hi Candace! Thanks so much for all your videos! I really love all of the sequences I've tried, but my one issue is that your sound is so quiet, even on the loudest setting on my computer and the video itself, I can barely hear you over just the sounds of my house! I'm not sure if this is something that can be remedied, but I'm an intermediate level, and would really appreciate being able to hear the directions a bit instead of having to watch every moment.
    Thanks again! Namaste

      +Sara S - I thought it was just me. I love this workout, but had issues with the volume so I had to keep craning my neck to see what she was doing on the screen as I could not hear the instructions. Gave it my best shot but I need to do it a couple more times to get it as I could not hear very well.

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  6 лет назад +1

      Hi there - no, no way to adjust it now, but this video is a few years old. I've since invested in a microphone and better audio/video editing. All newer videos should be great :)

    Hey Candace, lovely channel, I've just discovered you.
    I have a question, does it not hurt your spine when you're on the hard floor at around 16.34? I definitely have more fat on me than you and even on carpet these types of moves can really feel painful on my lower spine - directly underneath my navel. Am I doing something wrong? I don't have back issues until I do this.

    • @yogabycandace
      @yogabycandace  9 лет назад

      d26s10 Hey there! Hmm, no it doesn't hurt my spine, but what you're describing is a common complaint. I'm not really sure what causes it. Might it just be the shape of your spine? Might it just be that you're pressing down into the back rather than lifting up using the core strength? I can't say for sure. Definitely do it on a mat with a blanket on top and see if that's helpful or just skip it completely. Sorry I couldn't give a more definite answer!

  • @brendanbirks640
    @brendanbirks640 6 лет назад +1

    i just cycled more than 2000klm. you think that would give me some core strength right? no. no it didn't.
