I saw LeeAnn perform at a country music festival shortly before "Blue" was released. She had a stage presence that shown brightly, even at her young age.
Great job by LeAnn on this tribute to Patsy. LeAnn was most recently the winner on the Masked Singer a couple of seasons back. She had many lovely performances and it was no surprise that she won. Beautiful voice and so talented an artist. So sorry to hear that she may not be able to sing again. So many singers succumb to vocal cord damage. I wish her the best.

Sweet Dreams really shows off Patsy's legendary vocal control & precision. The crescendos in the song are so powerfully executed it gives me the chills!
I didn't know about her vocal rupture. She is such a talented singer. I pray for her sake that it can be fixed .

Leann has always been one classy lady.
Patsy Cline recorded Sweet Dreams in February 1963. She sang this song in Kansas City for a benefit show for a disc jockey who passed away that everyone in the music business knew. It was her last performance on March 3, 1963. Two days later she died in the plane crash.
Ironically, in February 1991, Reba McEntire and her band was performing in San Diego, California and she sang Sweet Dreams in this show. After the show the band went on one plane and Reba along with her husband on another plane. The plane with the band crashed where everyone perished. Reba vowed never to sing this song again.
Leanne Rimes is an extremely talented singer.

I am usually one of the firefighters that go to the schools for fire prevention education and other community events.
Bill Mack was a disc jockey on radio station WBAP in Ft. Worth, Texas. Known as the "Midnight Cowboy" his radio show was broadcast during the midnight hours and heard all over the continental US, and his main listeners were the OTR truck drivers who drove through the night. He was also a songwriter who wrote Ms. Rimes' 1997 hit "Blue" in 1958. He also wrote "Drinking Champagne" which was a hit for both Cal Smith and George Strait. He died of COVID in 2020.
Leanne Rymes performed at the CMA awards singing Hank William's I'm So Linesome I Could Cry. She was quite young and it was amazing. Effortless and perfect.
Checkout LeAnn singing BLUE,it was written for Patsy but she passed before recording it. The song writer kept it , 50yrs later they gave it to her to record

LeAnn did have to cancel our Christmas concert in Nashville at the Ryman, but she wasn't out long, and that concert wad rescheduled for April. I just heard her this month, again at the Ryman, for her Christmas concert, and she is amazing as always.
LeAnne has one of those voices that just oozes emotion. I remember when she burst onto the scene with 'Blue'. I didn't love the song, but her voice blew me away. I hope it's not gone forever 😢

.2 things...her song Blue...written for patsy cline but she was killed in car accident and over a decade later she was offered blue...she was 13 yrs old....next she just won masked singer...she can sing anything...check it out!

Elvis Costello does “Sweet Dreams” on his phenomenal tribute to classic country music, the great album, “Almost Blue “.
She is a special gift with an incredible voice that is all her own that no one can imitate, keep on singing my love that is what God want you to do, may your songs bring a smile to the world we surly need it.

A movie named Sweet Dreams that covered Patsy Cline's life, this movie was made several years ago but a well made representation of her life and career.

I wondered why we hadn't seen her in a while. I remember when she had first greatest hits album in her early 20s. She sounds so much like Patsy Cline. Very classy indeed.

She just sang in February at the Beach Boys Grammy salute. And then introduced pentatonix. Her voice sounded deeper but she sounded fine. I've just read the comments bc I really don't like this genre of music. I hope she gets better. I liked her in Coyote Ugly.

No shade on Patsy, but I always felt that LeAnn has a better voice. LeAnn did an entire album of Patsy covers. I also like Angelina Jordan's version of "Crazy", but LeAnn is perfect for this, not just b/c of her voice but due to her country music background.

She has a great voice but personally she seems to have lost the personal sound for a power voice. Patsy made you feel your listening to true emotion
